This rare 2,040 sq. ft. corner condo is so well situated and beautifully furnished that when you step in the front door, you have to pinch yourself to see if you're dreaming! Right away, you notice the picture window in the dining area, the huge expanse of five sliding doors that open up the corner of the living room . . . so you gaze out over the San José estuary towards where the sun rises over Punta Gorda . . . all the way along miles of sandy beaches and the Sea of Cortez. This is a perfect spot for couples who love romance, privacy, and the finer things in life.

Step onto the wraparound covered terrace, sink into the day bed, sofa, or comfy arm chairs, and look all the way to Palmilla Point, where the sun sets. Look down from this third floor corner veranda, with its stereo speakers, lights, and designer teak dining table, and you'll see one of the resort's infinity pools (long enough for laps), an oversized Jacuzzi, a putting practice area, a BBQ area, and lush landscaping. Raise your sights again, and notice the green of the San José golf course, a reasonably priced alternative to the many world-class courses in Los Cabos, where our Concierge can arrange for you to play. [Email on arrival] We have arrived at Jazz Corner and LOVE it! Cesar picked us up at the airport and Debra and Socorro were waiting at the unit with yummy margaritas and a beautiful selection of chips, salsa, guacamole and quesadillas. The girls are in heaven and we are settled onto the pink sofas watching the Mex-Arg game.

[Comment in Guestbook] We have really enjoyed our stay @ Jazz Corner! Afternoons spent reading and relaxing on the breezy porch were a lovely way to escape the heat of the day. Highlights of our trip to Los Cabos included a day in Todos Santos, three great meals at the 7 Seas Restaurant (highly recommend it!), surfing, snorkeling at Palmillas Beach and Chileno Bay, and walking downtown almost every night for yummy ice cream @ the French Riviera Restaurant. We hope to be back :-). Thank you.

Jazz Corner at the Alegranza, San Jose del Cabo

We had a great time! Jazz Corner worked out beautifully. The condo was perfect for our needs. Love the decor, and it was so comfortable. Everything at the condo was in good shape. The wedding we attended was gorgeous: held on a bluff overlooking the Sea of Cortez. However, we're so glad we stayed at Jazz versus the wedding hotel, which was beautiful & right on the beach about 1/2 way between Cabo San Lucas & San Jose del Cabo, but isolated. We loved the location of Jazz; walking to the little town, checking out the tiendas and restaurants. Per your recommendation, Cynthia's was delicious. We went there a couple of times. Thanks again for the rental and all your help with details. Hope to get back there next year!

PS The late May weather was great, in the 80's.

Jazz corner is gorgeous

At first I thought that Jazz corner doesn’t really need another 5 star review. It gets 5 stars from everyone who stays there. But then I realized that we were one of the first guests to stay in the condo after hurricane Odile, so people might wonder if it’s still a great vacation condo.

The Condo

The condo is huge, and beautifully appointed. From artwork to furnishings everything is first class. The layout is beautiful, and with the second bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom, you can have guests over and still have lots of privacy. The pictures and description on the website are not exaggerated. If I had to find a negative it would be that they need more end tables on the deck for those afternoon cocktail hours, but that’s about it.

The View

The condo has fabulous views of the sea of Cortez, the estuary, and even back to the town of San Jose. If you enjoy watching birds, this place is a treat. We had vultures and frigate birds soar so close to us you could almost reach out and touch them. One night we were treated to an air show by three peregrine falcons. And of course there is whale watching at that time of year as well.

The Location

The good part is that you are on the third floor of a condo the sits high on a hill. The bad part is that the walk home always ends with a climb. We enjoy walking, so we only rented a car for a day or two, but if you have difficulty walking then you may need a car full time.

Alegranza

The resort is fabulous. The pools are beautiful and the staff is very accommodating. They also have a small pitch and putt area right below jazz corner. It has a couple of bunkers, so you can get your golf fix in….sort of.

San Jose

At first we were a little disappointed in San Jose. Of course the hurricane did a lot of damage, and it takes time to get things cleaned up. The more we walked around the town, the more we started to enjoy the people. We were there during the Festival of San Jose, and boy do these people love to party. You have to get out and be a part of it, especially the fair grounds and the Charreria (some of it may not be for everyone). The only downside is that the music goes on all night, and you will hear it very clearly from jazz corner.

So the bottom line for us is that while we loved our stay in San Jose, it was Jazz corner that made the vacation outstanding. It is an absolutely fabulous condo in a beautiful resort with spectacular views. What else do you really need

Owner's Response: We agree with all that Greg said! We ran out of time on our last trip to find terrace end tables that fit the décor, but they will be there for the next guests! Also, yes, the town is super friendly, the locals love their festivals, and the music can be heard all over town during the couple of festivals or special holidays during which celebrations go into the night. A check of the Los Cabos Guide online (http://www.loscabosguide.com/mexican-holidays/index.html) under Mexican Holidays can clue you in as to whether there's a festival or holiday during your proposed visit. Of course, these are culturally rich events, but earplugs and closed sliders might help while they're going on. In November there's also a school that has daytime band practice you can hear as they get ready for the Revolution Day celebration. We'd rather have our guests know about these events and plan accordingly, so we're glad Greg mentioned this. And we ARE very appreciative for "another 5-star review" . . . for the content it provides, updating prospective travelers, and because our rankings in VRBO are positively affected by the recency of our reviews. Fabulous Stay at Jazz Corner in Alegranza

Jazz Corner was wonderful! From the interior design, to the attractive furnishings, to the thoughtful attention to detail - all was carefully orchestrated to create a comfortable and beautiful accommodation. We loved the use of color - it was playful and set the mood for for our stay in Mexico. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have chosen a more beautiful location! The restaurants were fantastic - Casianos was our favorite (and that's saying something... because we didn't have a bad meal while in Cabo!) The beaches were super, but our favorite spot was by the pool at Alegranza at the end of the day. Chris and Toby, thank you for sharing your home with us - we had a very special vacation because of you!

ALEGRANZA was Grand!

Alegranza was even more beautiful than we expected. The condo, the size of a house, was very clean. Also, it was both beautifully and tastefully decorated in bright & fun colors. This place was very spacious giving privacy to both couples. And the condo had everything we needed and more.

We enjoyed morning coffee & tea on the patio while taking in the view of the ocean.

The man in charge (his name escapes me) was most pleasant & helpful.

Another plus was the location. Nothing was far from this condo, beach, groceries. restaurants, shopping, etc. were all most convenient and it did not take long to find our way around.

On behalf of myself, my husband, our son and daughter-in-law, we were so very pleased and would not hesitate to highly recommend this vacation rental to other family and friends.

Our only regret-- that we could not stay longer.

Owner's Response: I know some people look at the photos and wonder about the magenta ultrasuede sofas . . . and it's nice to hear so many guests say they find Jazz Corner "beautifully and tastefully decorated in bright & fun colors." That was our goal, and Mexico seemed the perfect spot to enjoy that freedom. The "man in charge" Patty refers to is Miguel, our rental coordinator and concierge -- our local go-to-guy for help arranging fishing, dinner reservations, massages, whatever . . . coordinating check-in and check-outs, and taking care of anything guests might need such as refilling the propane tank for the grill, changing a lightbulb in the high ceilings, etc. All our guests have told us that he is a gem, and we're blessed to have him.

Beautiful condo - easy access to San Jose!

This is a great location - in just ten minutes, you are in the heart of San Jose with shopping, art, pubs and restaurants! A fantastic view of the mountains and Sea with beautiful art and furniture surrounding you! This is a fantastic place to call home for a week in cabo! A few small issues during our stay, but nothing to keep us from coming back again!

Jazz Corner is a fantastic condo within close proximity and/or walking distance of beaches, town center, grocery store, and many restaurants. The unit is well equipped. The unit was as advertised in every respect.

The Owners, owners private management team and Alegranza onsite staff do a great job of communicating and will do everything to help you have a wonderful vacation, (Chris, the owner, provides a vacation check list that can help even a very seasoned traveler). I am excited to return as soon as I can!!

WEEKLY RATES
Weekly Rates reflect one night free and apply when you book a 7-night Saturday-to-Saturday stay. (This may not be calculated correctly on Rate Previews, and we may extend the weekly rate to non-Saturday-to-Saturday stays outside high season.)

CLEANING
Stays of 7 to 27 nights include cleaning before and after your stay.
For stays less than a week, renters are charged for a $47 cleaning upon check-out.
At least one mid-stay cleaning is required at renters' expense for stays of 14-27 nights.
For stays 4 weeks or longer, renters are required to have housekeeping services every 2 weeks, which currently cost $47 for a complete service including washing of linens and towels or $20 for light housekeeping without laundry. The charges for these services are to be paid upon check-out. Renters pay for utilities on these longer stays.
