I have owned my townhouse for 25+ years. I bought my townhouse because I am a long-distance ocean swimmer, and from my kitchen window I can see the weather conditions at the La Jolla Cove area where I swim!! I play tennis, so the free tennis courts on my property are great!! I'm also an avid bicyclist, and hiker. Now I bike around Mission Bay (5 minutes south / 2miles) where there are no cars, it's safe, and everybody is roller-skating, jogging , boating, wind-surfing, etc. Or, I often go 2 miles north to the Torrey Pines State Reserve and Beach to hike; there are over 10 miles of family-friendly hiking paths overlooking the ocean with THE MOST SPECTACULAR VIEWS IN SAN DIEGO! You can watch the hang-gliders take off there! Right next to it is the world-famous Torrey Pines golf course with a driving range, where I learned to golf, and where I go to golf every chance I get!! All of these activities are within 5 minutes, within 2 miles of my townhouse! My property is at the gates to to University of California San Diego!! There are 4 hospitals within 2 miles (Scripps Memorial, Scripps Green and SCRIPPS Clinic, UCSD THORNTON HOSPITAL, and the VA hospital.) I am a Registered Nurse and worked at the Scripps Hospitals. Now I divide my time between my new home in Tucson, Arizona (where I went to college) and La Jolla. I also own a smaller property, a 1-bedroom condominium within 2 blocks of this one because I love the area so much!!

There are 2 large outdoor redwood decks: one off of the Master Bedroom, and one off of the dining/living room area. These provide lots of outdoor space to relax!
The kitchen has absolutely everything you need or could possibly think of so you can cook at home for your Family or guests!
LOW -ALLERGEN tile floors throughout the downstairs area. (Bedrooms are carpeted)
Walk across the street to movie theaters, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops.

My teen daughters, 14&18, and I stayed at the townhouse 10 days, My husband joined us for 4 days. We were visiting my parents who live locally and also looking at UCLA. The owner, Marilyn, made the entire rental process easy and efficient. The unit was easy to find, garage was ample for even our big rental SUV, place was bright and sunny, very clean, stocked with everything you'd need. Great comfy couch for TV watching. My girls made smoothies with the blender every morning. I really enjoyed sitting out on the patio with my coffee and paper. Had my parents over for a BBQ one night. Works great.
Laundry was easy, as washer and dryer are quite large, with a nearby rack for hanging things.
Bedrooms were a little light in the morning but a dark sheet hung over blinds did the trick. Great location-walk to many stores, including 2 food stores, restaurants and 2 movie theaters.
We used the nice clean pool and Jacuzzi 4 times during our visit, loved it after coming from our deep freeze in Chicago, never more than a person or two in there. We had a really nice trip and a nice stay at the townhouse.
We would like to keep returning as it was super convenient to my parents place. Thanks Marilyn!
This was a quiet location with great access to stores. If you don't have a car, there are three grocery stores across the road. If you do have a car, then it is close to the motorway and downtown San Diego is not far away.
My friend and I enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

We arrived late day at this condo expecting a sunny and modern immaculate townhome. This was not the case. The entry through the garage was a dingy and cluttered mess..not exactly inviting. New appliances as advertised included a refrigerator with rust, outdated stove and a washing machine and dryer accessible only from the garage. The redwood balcony included green moss/mold on the cement wall. The patio furniture was plastic. All the furniture was dated (not modern as advertised). The "Free WiFi and Cable" was not turned on .. upon inquiry I was informed that the fine print in the rental agreement required me to actually request it beforehand. Talk about a bait and switch. The apartment had obviously been unoccupied for some time which accounted for the stuffy odor. I was asked by the owner to allow it to "air out". Needless to say we did not stay for the 4 nights we had paid for and the owner agreed to a 50% refund.
We rented Marilyn's beautiful condo for two months for medical reasons. So, our needs were a bit different than most. And, we were there without a car. We needed some place close to stores and restaurants, and not too far from Scripps Green Hospital. This condo fit our needs perfectly. Everything that we could want was directly across the street: three grocery stores, a drug store, several restaurants, and other shops. And, it was a short, inexpensive taxi ride to the hospital. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. The washer and dryer were top-notch. Marilyn was very nice, her communication was great and she returned our deposit promptly. What more could you ask for!
Very quiet, great pool access, grill on balcony, good kitchen amenities, actually nicer then on the photos. Please note: window blinds don't do a lot to block out the light in master bedroom and upstairs can get a little hot even with windows open. Friendly host, good communication. Would stay there again on a holiday.
We enjoyed the use of Marilyn's Condo. It is well cared for with lots of greenery. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare and serve meals. The location is great not far from the beach and easily assessable to I-5.
Our damage deposit was returned promptly.
