My three sisters and I spent Thursday through Sunday at the Magnolia Cottage and had a delightful time in the mountains, visiting the surrounding areas of interest! The Cottage provided every accommodation necessary to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The restored home was quaint and we felt right at home as we came in each evening to relax from the day's adventures. We highly recommend the Cottage and will stay again in the future.
I absolutely fell in love with this little cottage. Everything was clean and looked beautiful. The linens all smelled fresh and were nice quality. The kitchen was well equipped, I had no problem cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Management was always available and quick to respond. We will definitely be back!
My family spent two weeks at the magnolia cottage. It is an easy walk to the great downtown. The rental was clean and nice but not too fancy so it felt like home. It's so much nicer to stay in a cottage than a hotel room.
My wife and I spent a week at the Magnolia Cottage with our dog. It is a very nice house and was described well within the VRBO description. We found it to be clean and larger then expected. Hendersonville itself was nice but a little sleepy for our liking. We really appreciated the fact that we were able to bring our dog. It made several hikes to the nearby waterfalls that much better.
In conclusion, this rental is a 5 star home all day long with one exception. As a previous reviewer stated, the living room couch is terribly uncomfortable. I don't know what exactly is wrong with it but it is like sitting in a hole. In addition, there are two other chairs in the living room. One of them is broken with a spring hanging out the bottom. Therefore, we mostly spent our evenings at the dining room table because there was only one usable chair in the living room. As a result, I am giving the place 4 stars because I really couldn't use the living room and thus the fireplace or TV.
This was our second time staying in a Carolina Cottage rental and we were not disappointed. The Magnolia was more beautiful and spacious than the pictures led us to believe. We had everything we needed to make our week comfortable and enjoyable.
Our children really liked their first snow tubing trip to Moonshine Mountain and we enjoyed our visits to the local shops and eateries. Our dogs Kakkie and Lilly thank you Lee and Laura for providing pet friendly rentals for well behaved dogs. We look forward to staying with you again soon!
We enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Cottage. The place was very clean and had everything that we needed. I would have liked that it was a little bit closer to Main Street. The only thing that was a little problem was the sofa was rather uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was great. It was really close to Asheville and the other towns, Flat Rock, Fletcher, etc. were also close. I think anyone would enjoy there stay at Magnolia Cottage. And I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. Barb from Carolina Cottages was great to work with. One restaurant that we enjoyed for breakfast and lunch was Mean Mr. Mustard. Great food. We also tried West First Wood Fired Pizza. Pretty good. Would have liked to try Never Blue, but is closed on Sunday and Monday as are most of the places in Hendersonville. There was also a Fresh Market close by.
