We would like to welcome you to Crow's Nest Island,a private spot within the larger Oak Point community, located on the Saint Lawrence river.
Great sunsets are easily visible from a large screened in porch,or living room picture windows,as are the Lakers & Salties that go by in the shipping channel.
Canada is just a short hop, skip, jump, boat ride or car ride away. Brockville is 15 minutes by boat. Ottawa and Kingston about 1 1/2 hours by car.
The dwelling, a former camp converted into a modern home, has four bedrooms and two baths, both with showers. Seven can sleep comfortably-linens and blankets are provided.
A fully equipped kitchen completes the picture.
You can enjoy relaxing on, or swimming from, your own small private sandy beach.
There is dock space both on mainland and the island, enough for four boats. This island is perfect for non-experienced boaters as well as experienced.
Anglers will certainly enjoy the fishing.
Dog are now permitted but a fee of $100.00 per dog per week. And you are responsible for picking up after them.
The Crow's Nest was a fantastic island getaway that blew our family away! Bruce was a great host and his place was clean and cozy. The cottage was really spacious, much more so than the pictures convey. Our family of four had ample room to lounge about; our kids switched back and forth between the bedrooms (one had a very nice bunk bed in it). The screen porch was very spacious and cozy with an outdoor dinner table and a nice cozy rattan chair/love seat/table set. The swimming dock was a great feature, moored off the private beach. The water was crystal clear and a perfect temperature to cool off in. FABULOUS!

Great place. Clean. Well Maintained. Bruce was very helpful and friendly.
This October, our family of 7 stayed in this cottage for a week. It was beautiful, private, and provided us the perfect getaway. We had fishing and relaxing during the day and campfires at night. The beach cove would be great in the summer. The host, Bruce, is wonderfully nice and helpful. We would rent this property again in a heartbeat!
We stayed at Crow's Nest the first week of August, 2010, our family of 4, truly a glorious week's stay! Clean, comfortable accomodations and the river is your friend and playmate and art the whole time you are there. The screened porch is the best place in the house, the place to be for me. Owners are eager to have your stay on the island be problem free. The gas barbe was a real treat. Canoeing thru the canal and around the bay and out into the river almost as much fun as swimming in the clean and clear water.
The house has lots of clean windows affording fabulous views of the river and the bay at Oak Point.
You will not regret a stay at CROW'S NEST ISLAND!
I spent my labor day weekend'2010 on this lovely property owned by lovely people Bruce and Patty.
I stayed there with my husband and one of our couple friend for 2 nights and each and every moment spent there was wonderful and fun fillled. It was my 1st experience to stay on island and will be cherished forever!!!
The weather was lil rough on the day we reached becoz of hurricane in long island but it was good rest of the time.
Its a clean and spacious property and has kitchen stocked-up with all the things one needs when cooking@home...linens,blankets,Towels were all clean and hygiene. Also they have electric barbeque.
Bruce and Patty are very very friendly and wonderful persons they helped us to take to mainland whenever needed as we couldn't row the boat bcoz of wild waves, told us of places to visit around the area. They both are very nice and genuine persons and we loved them very very much...we even had an indian brunch togeder with patty tasty dessert.
Love u Crow's Nest - its a home away from home!!!
In the town of Ogdensburg there is the Remington Museum . The town of Clayton has the Antique Boat Museum, and Canada is just across the river. The town of Alexandria Bay is great for souvenir shopping, nightlife, and Uncle Sam Boat Tours of Boldt Castle and Thousand Islands points of interest. The castle on Dark Island makes for an interesting day trip. There are several golf courses in the area. Amish hand-made baskets, quilts, aprons, breads and jellies can be purchased from local families.
