I will echo all of the other comments about the great location and immaculate condition of this quaint apartment. We loved the open floor plan. Due to its age, the stairs are a great deal steeper than most of us are used to. Still, it was worth the hike to be on the third floor. We were within walking distance of excellent restaurants(and ice cream shop for the kids) and the water taxi to the USS North Carolina, which was the main purpose of our visit. The apartment is extremely well appointed; vanity mirror in the bathroom was a big plus for my wife. The only downside was late-night revelers on Saturday night and the incredibly noisy recycle truck on Sunday morning . We--- wife; seven-year-old daughter; nine-year-old son---would not hesitate to stay there again .
Rented the 3rd floor loft for my husband and 2 daughters for a college tour. Alice, from the management company was professional, helpful and couldn't have made the process easier! Upon arrival, my family found a gorgeous apartment that was even more spacious than had been anticipated, exceptionally clean and perfectly appointed. The management company has put real thought into the guests comfort with the details! Wine openers, laundry detergent, just enough of everything. The location was spot on and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the riverwalk. The third floor loft has a balcony, which is always a plus. I hope to join them on their next trip to Wilmington! Wouldn't hesitate to rent again and highly recommend!
Loved this loft. The bedding was so comfortable. The decor was very attractive. And loved the people watching from the front windows. The only thing it needs is a balcony and it'd be perfect. :). The parking deck across the street was not free on weekend, but it was a reasonable $8 per day. Love downtown Wilmywood! The stairwell to the loft had some steep stairs, but it was good exercise. This loft is so spacious & clean. Loved not having to worry about keys or a car.
This apartment was beautiful. The location was perfect for downtown Wilmington. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent again. It was immaculate. We did go out while downtown but the only noise that was loud was the garbage truck on sunday at 5:00 A.M. We did enjoy the Dixie Grill (breakfast restaraunt right downstairs) on sunday morning. They had great unusual Southern dishes. The only down side was the number of steps up to the apt but I needed the exercise so it was worth it. Beautiful place and great time had by all.
We rented this 3rd floor loft for the weekend for a friend's wedding. The location, basically at the corner of Market & Front St, could not have been more perfect. We parked the car in the free (on weekends) deck immediately across the street, and were able to walk everywhere (all meals, the wedding, and out at night). Except for going to the beach, we never needed the car.
We stayed with another couple and the condo had plenty of space. We even commented that the pictures did not do it justice on how spacious it was.
Friends told us about a great breakfast place just downstairs (Dixie Grill). I would recommend going down and putting your name on the list one morning. It was a 25 minute wait on Sunday when we checked out. We had a great sidewalk dinner at Front Street Brewery (take a right on Front), rooftop dancing at Reel Cafe (take a left on Front), and a fantastic lunch on the waterfront at Elijahs (take a left at the water onto the boardwalk, it's near the end).
I would warn that Wilmington has a lot of nightlife and this is a prime location, so it can get loud. We were out both nights, so it wasn't a problem for us. And like I said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
The only improvement I would make is a full length mirror for those in town for special occasions :). Otherwise, we found everything we needed, and had a fantastic weekend!
