Cruises: There are many different cruises offered in the Straits of Mackinac area. The Upper Falls is also the location of the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery and Pub. What a great way to grab a little refreshment after a long day of nature walks. The Pub’s main attractions include a long rustic bar at the entrance and a functioning Micro Brewery. They also serve a wide variety of appetizers and entrees including whitefish, steak and shrimp.

Four miles downstream you will find the Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island and forming a small lake where you can rent rowboats.

Perfect Family Get-away for a big group

  • 5 of 5

Amazing property. We loved it! It was well equipped for us to cook complete meals (pots/pans/etc.). And just so comfy for everyone. My ONLY critique would be to make sure people know that it is NOT beach-front. There are quite a few stairs to traverse to get down to the beach, so for my 83 year old mother, this was a surprise to us. Once you're down there, it's great, but we didn't get the impression originally that this was the case. Just be aware of this. Still, it is a 5-star home!

This was our second time staying!

  • 5 of 5

We love staying at this cabin! It is very spacious while being very cozy. The kitchen has everything you will need to feed a big family. The bedrooms are large and the bathroom facilities are very good. The basement is great for the kids to hang out in with a whole living room down there and large bunk beds on the other side of the room. Sauna is a treat. We went for walks on the sandy beach.

Does not have wifi but it was good for us to do without and just play family games😊

Jackie is as sweet as could be and VERY responsive to anything we needed or has questions on. We are thinking of coming back in the summer as it must be amazing!

Exactly as Described

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent three nights at The Wildwood Cabin (Oct 12-15) and enjoyed every minute of our stay! The owners were very helpful leading up to our stay with suggestions for restaurants as well as the "must see" destinations in the UP. I enjoyed taking photos of the view off of the back deck as well as on the private beachfront below. The cabin is plenty big enough for your entire group or family and is also perfect for just two! We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy renting the ranger or even having a bonfire due to sightseeing the beautiful fall foliage around, but definitely could see where both would be fun! The photos of the cabin do not do it justice - you need to see it for yourself!

Awesome! Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome, beautiful vacation home. Driving up to the property was beautiful and walking in was even more awesome. The property is well kept and lacks nothing for a wonderful stay. All of the beds are comfortable the kitchen lacks nothing and the grand kids love sleeping in the bunkbeds along with having their own TV. The Lake Michigan view and beach was spactacular! The property has an optional 4 wheel ranger to rent and it was a lot of fun. The grand kids love going for rides and my son's followed the trails in the area for miles. The trails are well marked and can be driven to St Ignace and just about any where in the Upper Penninsula. An additional bonus was all of the information Jackie sent me regarding restaurants and places to see. Jackie, Julie and Phil where very through and informative and were very nice to talk to. I highly reccommend a stay at this fine cabin in the U.P.

Beautiful in every way. It keeps calling us back!

  • 5 of 5

This is the third year our family has had our " vacation together" at wildwood. My husband and I have our three adult children pick a location, and we pay for all of us to go there. We've been several places including Maine, then as grandkids came along, we picked closer locations like Grand Haven, Holland, but once we went to wildwood, this is going to be the vacation house for a while.

It's perfect in every way. The house is beautiful, yet practical. The view can not get any better. The owners have thought of everything families need. From high chairs / strollers for little ones to a kitchen equipped with all the necessities .

It's soo beautiful inside, that just sitting on the comfortable furniture, visiting is enjoyable. And the kitchen table is perfect for late night board games.

But as we went later in the year than usual, we were at the beach most afternoons. So nice to have a private beach for the family to have fun at.

The corn hole game at cottage was put to good use, as was the grill, and tub of beach toys.

There's plenty of towels and beach towels to use. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of showers/ bathrooms to not have to wait long for your turn.

The owners go out of their way to make it a memorable vacation!! Soo worth going back to. We hope it's available for many years. It's throughly enjoyed by all our family. THANK YOU for sharing Wildwood!!!

Serene Beauty

  • 5 of 5

Winter, spring, summer, fall there is no wrong season to enjoy and explore the awesomeness that is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and there is no better place to unplug and enjoy all the splendor that this cabin has to deliver. The view out over Lake Michigan is breathtaking, sitting on the deck sipping a beverage was so relaxing, sunrises to sunsets there is no wrong time to enjoy the view, in fact night brings out its own view as the stars and planets offer a brilliant panorama. From a kitchen that is fully equipped to prepare everything from a gourmet meal to hotdogs, to bedrooms that are cozy and comfy with all those hidden touches that makes a house a home our stay here was perfect.

If the weather fails to corporate indoor activates like the foosball table, board games, and darts will bring families closer together. The sauna is a wonderful touch allowing the heat and steam to relax you prior to partaking in the spacious showers and or the Jacuzzi tub then falling fast asleep in comfy beds.

If you’re into the great outdoors wildlife abounds. Our family seen deer, wolves, and eagles all within minutes of the cabin making our experience a truly wonderful time. Tahquamenon Falls, White Fish Point, Mackinac Island all make wonderful day trips.

The only downside and regret we had about being her is we had to leave at some point and the sadness of leaving is replaced by the knowledge of returning to a picture perfect place the UP!
