The Upper Falls is also the location of the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery and Pub. What a great way to grab a little refreshment after a long day of nature walks. Four miles downstream you will find the Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island and forming a small lake where you can rent rowboats.

This place was fabulous and the owners are too!
First, we have stayed in many vacation rentals before, and been duped by the pictures and reviews, but this place is even better than the pictures. I have a background in construction and fully appreciated the guality and workmanship that went into building it..... EVERTHING is top drawer! The owners are high organized, easily accessible, responsive, honest and very pleasant. We were celebrating our anniversary with our children and the house accompanied our party of 8 without feeling crowded and everything was super clean. The only bad part or our stay was leaving!
Beautiful Cabin and Lots of Great Memories Made
We had a great time staying at The Wildwood Cabin! The cabin was beautiful inside and out! We took day trips to Mackinaw Island, Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, and Sault Ste. Marie during our stay and enjoyed the cabin when we returned in the evenings. The kids loved searching the gorgeous Lake Michigan beach for unique rocks and even enjoyed the water briefly (even though it was a little chilly)!
The owners have clear, easy to follow instructions on the counter for what is expected before you leave which I greatly appreciated. They also provided recommendations on places to eat/visit/etc. which was also helpful!
I would highly recommend this cabin!
Perfect Family Get-away for a big group
Amazing property. We loved it! It was well equipped for us to cook complete meals (pots/pans/etc.). And just so comfy for everyone. My ONLY critique would be to make sure people know that it is NOT beach-front. There are quite a few stairs to traverse to get down to the beach, so for my 83 year old mother, this was a surprise to us. Once you're down there, it's great, but we didn't get the impression originally that this was the case. Just be aware of this. Still, it is a 5-star home!
This was our second time staying!
We love staying at this cabin! It is very spacious while being very cozy. The kitchen has everything you will need to feed a big family. The bedrooms are large and the bathroom facilities are very good. The basement is great for the kids to hang out in with a whole living room down there and large bunk beds on the other side of the room. Sauna is a treat. We went for walks on the sandy beach.
Does not have wifi but it was good for us to do without and just play family games😊
Jackie is as sweet as could be and VERY responsive to anything we needed or has questions on. We are thinking of coming back in the summer as it must be amazing!
Exactly as Described
My husband and I spent three nights at The Wildwood Cabin (Oct 12-15) and enjoyed every minute of our stay! The owners were very helpful leading up to our stay with suggestions for restaurants as well as the "must see" destinations in the UP. I enjoyed taking photos of the view off of the back deck as well as on the private beachfront below. The cabin is plenty big enough for your entire group or family and is also perfect for just two! We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy renting the ranger or even having a bonfire due to sightseeing the beautiful fall foliage around, but definitely could see where both would be fun! The photos of the cabin do not do it justice - you need to see it for yourself!
What an awesome, beautiful vacation home. Driving up to the property was beautiful and walking in was even more awesome. The property is well kept and lacks nothing for a wonderful stay. All of the beds are comfortable the kitchen lacks nothing and the grand kids love sleeping in the bunkbeds along with having their own TV. The Lake Michigan view and beach was spactacular! The property has an optional 4 wheel ranger to rent and it was a lot of fun. The grand kids love going for rides and my son's followed the trails in the area for miles. The trails are well marked and can be driven to St Ignace and just about any where in the Upper Penninsula. An additional bonus was all of the information Jackie sent me regarding restaurants and places to see. Jackie, Julie and Phil where very through and informative and were very nice to talk to. I highly reccommend a stay at this fine cabin in the U.P.
