Holiday paradise…: … also for cultural interested people: find the temple of Paestum in the near environment, the historical ruins Pompej and Herkulaneum, and Neapel. An excursion to the Versuv is also profitable as a trip to Salerno, to the Amalfi coast, Capri, Ischia and so on.

Not the best for young children....

  • 1 of 5

Despite the place being very lovely with beautiful gardens and views, I would warn anyone with small children that the owner has a dog who scratched my daughter's shoulder quite badly just after we arrived. I didn't find the owners very apologetic or sympathetic when this happened. I think they should warn people of this especially as one of my children is very scared of dogs anyway and I wouldn't have booked the place had I known there was a unpredictable animal on site. It left my kids very nervous and they would not sleep on their own.

Also, the mosquitos are terrible in the appartment, I was bitten 80 times and I believed the owners should install nets on the windows as we all suffered quite a bit and rather cheekily I thought, were charged for nets which were hot and not a great solution to the problem.

The road to the house is also extremely steep and we were not allowed to park our car next to the house but lower down the lane which wasn't always convenient with small tired children and shopping etc.

beautiful apartment and views

  • 5 of 5

As a family of 4 we enjoyed a very relaxing week in the beautiful apartment. The owners we're very friendly and helpful, even sending our babys lost toy back to us.

The apartment was clean, and the open plan layout worked well for us.

A car is a must have.We struggled with our punto hire car to get up the steep hill,so maybe a more powerful engine might be needed!!However, our car was over loaded with luggage.

The views were stunning and worth every penny.

Tolle Einrichtung, toller Blick

  • 5 of 5

  • 1 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Was will man da mehr? Nur zu empfehlen.

Tramonti spettacolari e collocazione strategica

  • 5 of 5

San Marco is located in Cilento, is part of the nature reserve ‚Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano’ and nominated as world cultural heritage of the UNESCO. It is a part of the village Castellabate, lying in a wonderful landscape, has an old history and one of the best preserved centres in Cilento. The next bigger village is Santa Maria die Castellabate with various shopping possibilities, bars and restaurants. In San Marco and the near environment you find wonderful sandy beaches. The ‘Bandiera Blu d’Europa’ is awarded to almost every costal village in Cilento for their clear water. San Marco is also famous for the ruins of a Greek – Roman harbour, which was lying in the cliff at Punta Licosa. From San Marco Punta Licosa is reachable within a 45 minutes walk. The name Punts Licosa comes from the siren ‘Leucosia’ which died here in the sea because she could not capsizes Ulysses.

Golf: The next golf court is located in Salerno (approx. 60 km).
