Leave the beach towels at home

  • 5 of 5

Great beach house in prime location near restaurants and grocery store. No need to bring beach towels, there are plenty large towels and ample bath towels for all. Huge 22 quart stock pot for large pasta dinner or low country boil. Most houses never have such a well stocked kitchen.

The pillow top beds are very comfortable and ample space for a large group. The lower level has 2 twin beds and 2 trundle beds. Wish we had known hand soap, dish and laundry detergent were stocked as we would not have needed to bring. Lots of games available and the hot tub was very relaxing overlooking the ocean. Most enjoyable stay ! The only improvement would be to have enough space to pull cars under the house for the shade but tight squeeze but compact should have no problem.

Perfect house

  • 5 of 5

This house is in a perfect location and is very clean and well taken care of. The beach is so close that we had no problem letting our 6 and 9 year old children run around while we were inside. Our group had four adults and four children and was just the right size.

The beach was very clean and not crowded. We found some great shells and it was easy walking distance to the pier and shops.

Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful week we just had at this beautiful home! The weather had been predicted to be kind of messy but we actually had a great weather week! Enjoyed the beach everyday! The house was perfect for our family. Kitchen was well-appointed. Enjoyed the hottub! A pleasant surprise was the fish cleaning area which came in handy since we did catch a couple fish!! Grocery store is very close by. All in all, lots of convenience when you stay at this beautiful home! Beautiful views! Great deck beachside with lots of chairs. And lots of parking space. Pier is within easy walking distance too.

Peaceful beach retreat

  • 5 of 5

My family has spent the past three years at this wonderful location to relax and unwind during our daughters' spring break. Although we roll the dice with weather in the "off season" -- we have never been disappointed, even if the temps barely break 70. The view is breathtaking, and this year we saw dolphins swiming right off the beach every day! The sound of the waves breaking just outside your window, and views of sunrise and sunset -- not to mention beautiful moonlight -- over the water are both stunning and calming at the same time. We were able to bring our sweet golden retriever with us for two years, and he may have enjoyed the oceanside walks more than any of us! It's easy to stay in and hunker down making your own meals and just enjoying the serenity, but there are a few cute spots to try for lunch or dinner in the town area as well. Very family friendly and easy to get around, although I imagine the traffic during peak season makes things a bit slower. The house is close enough to walk or bike to pretty much any of the restaurants or shops, including a grocery store, and there is a bike trail just a block away that gets you access to pretty much anywhere on the island, and the local community center is also within walking distance if you wanted to take in a yoga class or just get into the gym while vacationing. Our young girls (ages 3, 5, 7 during our first stay in 2011) can handle the many various stairways, but they could pose problems for some. The wi-fi can be spotty, but when you're enjoying a location as gorgeous as this, it's good to disconnect a little anyway. We have many special memories from this location and are thankful we've had the chance to stay here more than once!

Better than described!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was a fabulous place to stay. My husband and I were looking for a nice quiet get away for a few days and we were not disappointed. It was everything the listing described and so much more. Instead of spending the week ruing my decision because of cleanliness issues, etc., I found this place delightful! You can't improve on ocean front, but this place made it even easier to enjoy. For instance, I do not believe I have ever been in a kitchen in a beach rental as organized and clean as this one ~ each drawer and cabinet was streamlined to meet every need and in great shape. The owners thought of every detail in this place. The hot tub was clean, well maintained ~ not to mention wonderful and relaxing. My husband made the comment to me that the living room television (with all the remotes!) was by far the easiest to master...and that is saying something for our generation! The washer and dryer was state of the art. The beds were very comfortable...I do not believe I have ever rested better in a vacation rental, and we try to go at least twice a year. As I told the gentleman we rented from, the only improvement I would suggest is new shower heads in the hall bathrooms. (By the way, he was very kind and accomodating from the get-go!) It was so nice to get home last night and not to have to wash all the towels and linens from the week. We will be back!!
