About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Are you looking for a perfect place to de-stress - and still be only 45 minutes from Detroit? Then you have found the perfect place without the four hour drive north or west to enjoy the Great Lakes. The waves from Lake Huron are truly therapeutic. The sunrises are breathtaking, but the moonrises may impress you even more! Our lakefront home has everything you will need, whether you're planning an intimate retreat, cozy weekends with friends or family gatherings.

The beachfront house has 5 bedrooms (1 king, 3 queens, 2 full size beds), and 2 full bathrooms. The living room has a gas fireplace and overlooks the deck and yard down to the beach. The kitchen has everything you need to make the perfect meal, but there are several nearby restaurants if you'd rather make reservations for dinner.

The kitchen opens to the sunroom which has seating and indoor dining space. The sunroom opens to the large deck that has a built-in table for outdoor dining large enough for 10 or more. The deck has a gas grill and seating area.

If you like to golf, there are 4 golf courses within a 20 minute drive. Downtown Port Huron is a 10 minute drive to the south offering beautiful riverfront dining, bike rentals, river/lake boat cruises. Casino gambling is across the river from Port Huron in Sarnia Canada. Historic Lexington is a 20 minute drive to the north. Lexington has a beautiful harbor, boat launch, excellent dining, quaint shops, and fishing charters. Lexington also offers weekly entertainment with free outdoor concerts and national performers at Lexington Theater.

There are several parks nearby, including Ft. Gratiot (walking distance) and Lakeport State Park Campground (a five minute drive away). Biking trails in area.

There is a cleaning fee of $125.00

About Todd & Pam Sexton

I grew up spending summers in Port Huron as a kid at my Grandmother's place. After she passed away my wife and I wanted that same experience for our three daughters so we were fortunate enough to buy the "Lakehouse". Now when we are unable to use it we like to share it with those who love Port Huron as much we do.

Todd & Pam Sexton purchased this house in 1994

Why Todd & Pam Sexton chose Fort Gratiot Township

Port Huron is a beautiful vacation spot, yet close enough to get away without the travel hassle of a trip up north.

What makes this house unique

Swimming, boating, jet-skiing, snorkeling, ship-wreck diving, kayaking, body-surfing, bonfires, sunrises, moonrises, watching the ships go by on the horizon and of course hanging out on the beautiful sandy beach.

Nice Summer 2017 Family Gathering on Lake Huron

  • 4 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our vacation rental on Lake Huron. The lake home was large enough to accommodate our group. Our children and grandkids spent a lot of time swimming in the lake and playing on the beach and the large lawn area off the back of the lake house. The spacious deck provided a great opportunity to not only watch over all the activity but to also to gather together and spend time talking with one another. It was also nice to have many shopping and other additional recreational and entertainment opportunities in the area. Even the weather cooperated throughout the week.

A week in paradise

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here was an amazing week filled with sunshine, family and lot's of fun. The house was exceptionally clean and very accomodating for our large family. I loved seeing the sun rise every morning over the lake with a cup of coffee in my hands and total peace......now that's a way to start your day...if you're a morning person...lol Views from the deck are absolutely gorgeous all day long and at times you think you are looking at the Caribbean Sea. We cannot wait to book this beautiful home again this year.

All it's advertised and more

  • 5 of 5

Our family had the most wonderful week on the lake! My brother and I brought our spouses and children to treat our parents to a wedding anniversary and this was a perfect setting. Everything we needed was right there for our event.

I am an early riser and there isn't a better site than the sun rising over Lake Huron. The house is great for family gatherings!
