'Purchased this home to give me the contentment and peace everyone needs. It is truly a 'quick fix' for me when I do not rent it. I am a single widow who finds this place touches my heart and I've diligently been working to upgrade and improve this property for myself and those I rent to. I treat this property like my home and only want tenants that will respect it and love it like me. Kathie

Everyone who comes to this island never wants to leave. I purchased a property to be near my friends and to make friends. Houses are owned by grandparents and their children bought and their friends and it goes on and on...it is an experience you will never forget. Once to get to the end of Cape Road to the Ferry Landing, drive your car onto the Ferry you are on the island in 10 minutes and stress leaves and LIFE BEGINS at MY MAINE RETREAT.
When the drapes are open and the sun comes pouring into this little cottage, you cannot resist getting up and having your first cup of coffee sitting on the dock watching nature and breathing in the landscape.
The cottage was in great shape and had everything we needed. The location is on Sebago Lake, so there are great swimming and water sports. The island has lots of public beaches, and nice playing fields, tennis courts, etc. Also a small restaurant and store. A great getaway vacation. The roads are small so you can't drive very fast on them, which enhances the relaxing nature of Frye Island. I would caution people that you need to take a quick ferry to and from the island, and if you don't want that kind of encumbrance, you may not want to choose this location.
