Grammie Lin welcomes you to the unique coastal area of mid coast Maine! Grammie Lin's is 400 feet to the beach and launch area for kayaks and yet only a 10 minute walk to town. The cottage is just off of Rt 1, so there is easy access by car to the many sites and activities in the area.
Historic Searsport was home to more sea captains than any other in the world and many of the goodies they brought back from their travels still stay in the many historic homes and antique shops in the area. The noted Penobscot Marine Museum in town tells the story of this rich area.
But experience it yourself with kayaking, sailing or hiking and a picnic lunch or a lobster dinner fresh from the bay!

I have lived in the area full time for 10 years and summered in the area for many years before that. I now operate a picture framing shop in Searsport, so it is easy to find me for questions, directions, or local information. I want to make all my visitors feel at home and have a special vacation while in Maine.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2008
My husband and I spent two delightful weeks at the cottage. Great location for day trips to Bar Harbor, Camden, Belfast and other nearby towns. Enjoyed walking on the beach. Cottage was well appointed with beautiful antiques and everything to make your vacation special. Owner very friendly and easy to do business with. We also had friends come and stay for a few days. They loved it. We can't wait to make a return visit.
Clean, well equipped, short walk to the beautiful shore. Owner is very easy to deal with. We've had a great time there.
The cottage was clean and comfortable, with many thoughtful extras like local magazines, games and kitchen items. Our family of four enjoyed kayaking near Camden, Rockport and Castine, hiking in Acadia and dining out in Belfast.
My family stayed at this house in Searsport for one week this summer (2010). The wrap around porch and screened porch along with the many windows made it seem as if we were outside yet it was cozy. The view made it seem as if we were on the water. There is a path to the ocean and we kayaked every day. It is a beautiful rocky shore but a short kayak away there is a very sandy beach. We used the internet, ate locally, visited the museum and Acadia National Park and enjoyed every minute. If you kayak there are 3 or more great white water spots nearby with reverse falls. Brunswick nearby is very bike friendly although we took rides right from Searsport and enjoyed them. A perfect house, and an outstanding host. She thought of everything that made our trip special.
