About Stacey Angell

We purchased this private getaway as a place to go away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, crowds, and development of city life. We have made many fond memories at the cabin and plan to make many more!

Stacey Angell purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Stacey Angell chose Aitkin

We chose this location for the acreage and lakefront. Acquiring a property of this nature is hard to come by these days. It is very secluded, and big enough to roam. Our family and friends have many fun get-togethers. The lake is large enough for recreational fun, but not too big with overcrowding.

What makes this cabin unique

There are many fun things to do while staying at this cabin. Indoor there is a foosball table, many sitting areas to relax, and tables to play cards/board games or just to sit and look out the windows. Outdoors, there is the lake to enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, sit by a campfire, play catch or yard games, or go for walks on the many nature trails on the property.

Beautiful Cabin!!!!

  • 5 of 5

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at this amazing cabin!!!! The beautiful cabin was tucked away in 32 acres!!! We enjoyed hours each day on the front porch, out by the fire pit, swimming around the floating island, playing games, walking some of the trails and fishing!!! Fishing was awesome even at the end of July. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and had EVERYTHING you would need and more in the kitchen. One day, while eating lunch, we looked out the kitchen window to see 3 deer walking in the yard- the kids loved it!!!! The adults and kids both enjoyed the games in the house as well. We enjoyed our peaceful week!!! Thank you!!!!

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

I am sad to think that someone new is taking our place at this Cabin/Lake Home...It was an amazing week. Lot's of great memories were made. This Lake Home is incredible, so spacious, open to enjoy all's company, but plenty of get-a-way space if need be. I did not come a cross anything I needed in the kitchen that was not available.

The Foosball and bumper pool were a great fill in and was used a lot, then there is the bean bag toss that was also used.

The fire pit is a nice area, the old chairs by the pit were amazingly comfortable and very unique.

The fishing was OK.... we caught Bass, Northern, and walleye. You can catch plenty of pan fish, but never caught any that we considered large enough to keep. We did discover that trolling the shoreline is the way to go...we did catch some nice Bass at the little island right out from the cabin. Leeches and worms were the choice of the week for the fish.... and of course the white twister tails. We did do some night fishing from the dock, caught some nice bull heads and a dog fish, that was all our Grandson was after and he caught one... was nice to watch his happy dance. We were lucky enough to be night fishing during the meteor shower, it was an amazing show, we probably seen 20 shooting objects in the night sky.

The town of Aitkin will have all you need, its about 15 minutes from the cabin. They have a nice grocery store and anything else you would need.

We did go to Bingo at the Legion on Tuesday night (adults only) I won 66.00, had a few was fun.

I want to thank the the owners for opening up their great home to us for the week.... it truly was an amazing place.... The Tipton's Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a tremendous time at your cabin this past week. The pictures on this site do not do the cabin justice....this is a beautiful place inside and out with great accommodations. Thie fishing was awesome for the whole family and the owners are great people. We're already talking about next year!

Thanks for a week of great memories.

Family Friendly

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what a fun place to be in the summer. The discription was totally accurate. The lake was so much fun to fish, even fishing off the dock. A little treasure. We also enjoyed taking the paddle boat out to the floating pontoon.

The cabin was spacious and family friendly. Clean and neat with all the amenities you could ever want in a cabin. Big enough for all of us to find our own little corner with space left over. Loved the patio/sidewalk to sit in the morning and during the rain. We also enjoyed the fire pit.

It was nice that it was only a short drive to get to town. A place for us girls to spend the afternoon at the coffee shop and shopping and of course picking up bate for the guys.

The owners were easy to work with and certainly treated us well.

Would recommend it to anyone who needs a really quite place to take a family and loves to fish and swim. Can imagine it would be a great place to come in winter too.

Relaxation at it's best :)

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had such a wonderful time at this cabin! The owners were helpful, polite and I must say, very quick to answer and questions I had prior to our arrival. Everything was equipped beyond our expectations (kitchen, outdoor equipment, games, etc). The property was beautiful and comfortable inside and out. My kids loved the paddle boat and floating dock! The fishing also exceeded our expectations, especially on such a small, pretty little lake. I loved that it felt very secluded but just a short distance from some little towns that were enjoyably on rainy days.

Thank you!
