This is one of the nicest 2 bedroom condos in Kona Shores. It is completely renovated and redecorated. It has complete tiled floors including the lanais, granite counter tops in the kitchens and bathrooms and new cabinetry. The windows and sliding doors are dual pane glass. The top of the line furniture and beds will be a welcome treat from what you normally see in other condos. There are flat screen TVs in the living room and one bedroom and there are 2 sliding doors going out to the quiet, private lanais. We also own the 2 bedroom unit next door. See VRBO #311117 for our other unit. Don't be fooled by some of the other units in the complex! We also own a very nice studio. See vrbo #832883. Please take the time to read all the 5 star guest reviews on our units. The units together make for a great multi-family vacation. Both units have shower stalls only, so they are not suitable for infants and toddlers. We want our units to be very nice because this will be our home away from home whenever we can escape to the Big Island for some rest and relaxation...
This unit is a ground level, small 2 bedroom, 1 bath condominium in a low rise complex located one mile south of downtown Kailua-Kona. Even if you don't need the second bedroom it is a nice room to read or take an afternoon nap, and we have priced our unit to provide affordable vacation accommodations. Both bedrooms have new sliding doors to the patio/lanai and both bedrooms have quality, queen size beds. The lanai has brand new tile and patio furniture and is a great place to enjoy dinner after a busy vacation day at the beach or sightseeing!! Relax and watch a movie on the new flat screen TV in the living room. We provide free wireless internet (bring your laptop), but bring your cell phone as there is no phone in the unit. The updated kitchen is well equipped and has brand new stainless appliances. An assigned parking space is only about 30 feet from the front door. There is always plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and supplies for you convenience. Beach towels, coolers and lawn chairs are also provided for your beach days.
The Kona Shores is an ocean side complex centrally located on Alii Drive which is the oceanfront road that goes to Kailua-Kona. It is a short walk for shopping, dining, people watching or just to go down and have an evening cocktail. The Big Island has just about everything you could ask for...Great Beaches...Deep-Sea Fishing...Golfing...Snorkeling...Diving...an Active Volcano and Much, Much More!

We bought this condo in January 2010 in a small 80 unit complex. We have been visiting Hawaii for over 30 years, but only discovered the Big Island 8 years ago. We have not been back to Maui or O'ahu since we fell in love with the Big Island. The friendly attitude of the people (both local and tourists) make this a great place to visit. We are both retired and are looking forward to spending time at our new place with the kids and grandchildren. Doug & Evie

Clean and well-stocked of all what you need from home, even beach stuff! This 2-bedroom condo is perfect for a family. Far enough from the busyness of of town, but also walking distance to town. It was a perfect home-base while in Big Island.
We spent 10 days in Kona and this condo felt like home. It was well decorated and very comfortable. The owners provided everything we needed from beach gear to paper products. The location was great. We loved the ocean front pool and it was a only a 15 minute walk to the bustling tourist area. The owners were very easy to work with. I'm recommending it to all my friends and family who are planning on traveling to Hawaii.
Doug provided excellent customer service. He was quick and polite throughout our interactions. The condo was very lovely, and the beds were cozy! I like how Doug supplied extras: beach chairs, coolers, snorkel, etc. We gladly took advantage! The condo is located close to town, and the ocean, which is convenient as well. Thank you Doug for a comfortable and clean place for our family to stay while in Kona!
This was a great choice for our rental. It was centrally located making our daily activities more accessible. We had four adults comfortably make this home base to relax from all the excitement of the day. The back patio was private and enjoyable. A/C & WiFi was a must have. You will not be disappointed when you choose to stay here.
This is the third year we have stayed here for a month. The condo is well equipped and easy to get to. Lovely 10 minute walk to breakfast in town, and only 30 minute bicycle ride to scuba diving at the small boat harbour. We enjoyed the barbeque area for suppers (Watching the sunset ) and slipped into the ocean for snorkelling just beyond the pool. The private lanai was perfect for evenings. Downtown restaurants etc only a short walk away.
My daughter and I stayed here for 2 weeks while she participated in the Honu 1/2 ironman. Staying here worked out extremely well for us. The ownes and the caretaker were very helpful and accommodating - allowing us to check in early and check out late, and even swtiched us from an upstairs unit to a downstairs unit because solar panels were being installed on the roof and that was rather noisy. The unit was very clean, and very well equiped. The whole complex is generally very quiet, and within easy walking distance of downtown. We would be happy to stay here again, and will recommend it to our friend and family.
