|Minimum Stay||2 - 5 nights|
The charming, oceanside village of Yachats is just the place to spend a relaxing weekend, a week, or any amount of time away at the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast. And with six bedrooms and room for up to 14 lucky guests, this bright and spacious Yachats vacation home will wow you with its great location, ocean views, and bright, beachy style - there's even a private hot tub!
A large and open living room, dining room, and kitchen greet you on the main floor - all with stunning ocean views. Large ceilings and windows let in lots of natural light and a front deck provides plenty of space to have a seat and watch the waves roll in. Enjoy cable TV or a DVD viewed on the wall-mounted flat screen TV, or use the telescope to watch for seabirds, whales, and ships out on the water. A gas fireplace will keep your group cozy on chilly nights, even while watching dramatic winter storms out the wall of windows facing the ocean.
A dining table seats six, with extra spots at the breakfast bar. In the kitchen everyone can lend a hand to get bread toasted, omelets made, and the juice poured. Wake up and make yourself some coffee from freshly-ground beans, and head out onto the deck to watch the town wake up. All the major appliances are here in the kitchen (including a dishwasher), so everything from that family breakfast to a fancy roast chicken dinner is possible. And if you just want to heat up leftovers from your meals out, that's super easy here too.
On this main level, there's a lovely master bedroom with a king bed. A small sitting area compliments the room, as does the sliding glass doors and deck access. Lay in bed and listen to the sounds of the ocean, or sit up and enjoy a cup of green tea in the morning while you view the water.
You'll also find two additional bedrooms with queen beds, each with their own attached bathroom and one with a glimpse of the ocean. Also on this main floor is a large laundry room and an additional half bath.
Heading downstairs, you'll have an an extra large living space/game room with a pool table, ping pong, and foosball, as well as plenty of spaces to relax and watch the games. There are also two additional bathrooms down here. The fourth and fifth bedrooms are up here - both have queen beds, and the sixth bedroom is a bunk room with three sets of bunk beds, as well as a trundle bed. There's a spot for everyone in your group of up to 14 here!
Right outside the house there are many additional attractions. The hot tub of course, but also a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, a gas grill for outdoor meals, a volley ball net for lazy sunny afternoon games, a basketball hoop for practicing those jump shots (there is also an indoor basketball game).
Yachats, often referred to as the "Gem of the Oregon Coast" has it all - uncrowded beaches, restaurants, a coffee house featuring pastries and organic coffees, and galleries to browse. At nearby Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, gaze out over an 800 foot viewpoint at panoramic ocean views and rugged coastline. Hike the overlooks, pack a picnic lunch, and look for photo opportunities as you explore.
Past Cape Perpetua and about a half an hour south of the house is Heceta Head Lighthouse - stop by for a tour and to explore this State Scenic Viewpoint. A perfect way to spend the day, the Heceta Head trail is part of a seven-mile network of coast trails featuring varying terrains and difficulty levels. During the holidays, the lighthouse even hosts its annual Victorian Christmas open house.
Back in town for the evening, end your day trip south with a stop at The Drift Inn for some calamari, sweet potato fries, or a big plate of seafood lasagna. Then return home to your Shiloh by the Sea for time in front of the fire, a game of pool, and a soak in the hot tub while listening to the ocean waves.
For an amazing Oregon Coast getaway with family, friends, or a little bit of both, this Yachats retreat will treat everyone to comfort and beautiful ocean views.
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
We loved our stay at the Shiloh by the Sea! This house is huge!!! We had 3 different families with several teenagers and some younger kids with us and there was more than enough space for everyone! The games in the basement were a big hit with adults and kids. Having 3 bedrooms on the main level with their own bathrooms was awesome as well. We really enjoyed the hot tub in the covered open air enclosure, we were able to sit in it despite the crazy rain. Having so much space in the driveway for several vehicles was great too. We had a fishing boat and 4 cars and they all fit well. We also appreciated the DVD collection and the cards and different games to keep us all busy when the weather wasn't too nice to go out. The location was great, we walked several times across the street down to the water and beach. We were able to find tons of mussels right in the rocks by the water, and although they weren't our favorite to eat, it was quite the experience collecting them! We drove a few miles south on highway 101 and saw some beautiful scenery!!!
This house was absolutely amazing and we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone, especially those looking for a big house with a lot of entertainment and close to the beach!!
Yachats is a quaint little community nestled along a spectacular region of the Oregon Coast. There are a multitude of beautiful places to explore: Cape Perpetua, Devil’s Churn (a beautiful section of rocky coastline), Sea Lion Caves, Heceta Head Lighthouse, and many others. The town itself is a cute little beach town with kite, taffy, antique, and trinket shops, and a weekend farmer’s market. There are some good eateries (we recommend the Outta Gas Pizzeria and Yachats Brewing + Farmstore). The only note of caution is that everything closes VERY EARLY during the off-season!!
The house itself is beautiful and with an excellent layout for family gatherings. The upstairs has three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms surrounding the central kitchen/living/dining area. The downstairs has additional bedrooms and bathrooms with a pool table and recreation area. The number of bathrooms was a huge selling point and made getting ready in the morning a breeze!! The separation of the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms also accommodates families with small children who want to join extended family or friends for a getaway without sacrificing their own space.
The firepit area is perfect for creating that family campfire dynamic; we didn’t take advantage of the volleyball court because of the October rain, but it’s a great feature for summer stays! The homeowners have kindly stocked most of the basic necessities for you (hand soap, paper products, dishwashing detergent), as well as a plethora of board games and books. The cellular service in this area is very limited, but the home does offer wifi , so be sure to enable your phone’s wifi calling features. This is a lovely home and perfect for hosting a vacation with family or friends!
We brought 10 young adults with us for our business's end of season retreat. The house is equipped with so many activities that there was no lack of things to do. This is a very well furnished place and the beds are so comfortable. It's a short, easy walk to the ocean and to a sandy beach. We will definitely put this place in our favorites and come back again.
Loved this home! We had 12 people who came for our first family reunion and everyone loved it. The upstairs is considerably nicer than the downstairs, but on the whole it was a fantastic vacation home. Close to lots of great beaches and tide pools, lots of great entertainment in the home too. Definitely hoping to come back.
