About Lynn

You don't have to be a hiker to stay here but it may make you want to be....

Lynn purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Lynn chose North Georgia Mountains

I love the Mountains and the outdoors. There is more Water, Woods and Wilderness here than anywhere. Blue Ridge is a quaint town filled with friendly people. I spend more time outdoors exploring than I do indoors. Just love it here!

What makes this cabin unique

A wonderfully real Rustic, Cozy Mountain Cabin. Peace and Quiet. One on One with nature.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved our stay here! It was so clean, comfortable and cozy. Best cabin we've been to in Blue Ridge. Thanks for your hospitality, Lynn.

We will definitely be back to Hiker's Cabin.

See you next Year! happy holidays.

Romantic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife of 35 years and I could not have found a more cozy cabin in which to relax and fall in love all over again. The cabin décor was an eclectic mix of rustic and traditional, with a touch of whimsy thrown in for good measure. Lots of natural light, a comfy sofa, a separate area for reading and doing jigsaw puzzles,, and a plush bed to die for. We had planned to stay for 2 nights but extended it to 4 the very first morning. The owner was very attentive and had detailed instructions for Internet, TV, etc. We have stayed in Blue Ridge a number of times, so we didn't really venture out, though there is a lot to do in the area. Our aim, however, was to chill and snuggle, which we did--a lot. Eight days later, we are still wishing we were back there in perfect peace and privacy.

This is a great cabin for a romantic getaway. It's a very clean, organized, and cozy place. As other reviews have said, the owner has thought of everything. Her reviews and directions for hiking spots were extremely helpful! We almost didn't want to leave once we got to the cabin, though. Loved the screened in porch!!! We will definitely be back to this place. So close to Bluefield restaurants and shopping too.

Travel couple

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hiker's cabin for 3 nights before the new year. The cabin was perfect and Lynn was great to work with. There were lots of great places to eat and drink in town, only about 8 minutes away.

Perfect couple's getaway!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking for a cozy cabin to get away for a couple days. Hiker's Cabin far exceeded our expectations! We loved the set up and location of the cabin. Lynn has several things labeled, around the cabin, which we found very helpful! We never had a question on where to find something or how something worked. The gas fireplace was wonderful! It really warmed up the cabin well. We loved sitting on the couch playing games and sipping wine by the fire at night. Lynn also provided several hiking books. We used those to choose our hikes for the day. We also appreciated the two small packs, which we took on our hiking trips because we forgot ours. The bed was probably our favorite part! It was sooooo comfortable!!! The location of the cable was just perfect. We found it easily and had no trouble driving up to it. It is also close to a few grocery stores, which was nice. We went to downtown Blue Ridge every day. It took us less than 10 minutes to drive there. The cabin is close to several great hiking spots as well. I really can't say enough about how perfect our time in the cabin was. I appreciated how quickly Lynn got back with us when we had questions. She even called to wish us a happy Thanksgiving after we left! :) We're already looking forward to planning our trip next year!

A perfect get-away for a peaceful, romantic weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was so "simple and gentle" - just what we were looking for. Lynn was so responsive to every question we had. The cabin was spotlessly clean, and everything we could have needed and wanted was handy and accessible. We will definitely be back, and I am giving my sons and their wives a weekend to this cabin as a Christmas gift.
