Overview

Napa Valley House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 4-8)

Imagine an intimate, luxury appointed Mountain Lodge in the heart of wine country. Now, imagine it is yours to relax and enjoy in complete privacy and total seclusion. Take in the patio’s alluring charm and tranquility, it is yours to enjoy whenever you wish. And the pool, inviting and private, is like a mirror reflecting blue sky and gently swaying Sequoia.

As you drive past the olive orchard, and up the hill to our private, 42 acre, custom decorated estate in the heart of wine country, you’ll feel the weight of the world slip from your shoulders and soon become a distant memory.

While the peace and quiet are wonderful, the Lodge is just a short drive to hundreds of world-class wineries, outstanding restaurants, and charming farmer's markets in the upper Napa and Sonoma valleys.

Surrounded by centuries old trees, our property is only 4.5-miles from Calistoga at the north end of the Napa Valley. Wake up to birds chirping and the fog rolling through the Oak and Pine trees. By the time you've made coffee, the sun will be sweeping over to the patio off the kitchen. At night, fall into beds with luxury linens, and look out at the stars. (Guests have actually called to find out where they can order our beds!)

Though the estate offers all the privacy you could want, you also can grab locally roasted coffee and breakfast just minutes away in Calistoga.

Our log house, called “The Lodge” by guests, is custom decorated and features four bedrooms. Three bedrooms are located upstairs with fabulous views - one has a king size bed with a seating area and two bedrooms have queen size beds, one of which has its own bathroom. The fourth bedroom is a studio just off the kitchen. It has a king size bed, its own bathroom, a seating area and a small deck overlooking Franz Creek and the trees, birds and squirrels.

The well-appointed kitchen includes everything you need to prepare a gourmet dinner. Simply shop the local stores or browse one of the charming Farmer’s Markets to find all the fixings and local ingredients. You'll be set to make an intimate dinners or grand meals to celebrate holidays or special occasions with family and friends. Start with appetizers on the patio, or around the pool, and move inside to toast the day with a great feast around our extended dinner table.

Our VRBO home offers peace, tranquility, custom touches, gourmet kitchens…and elbow room…all for the same price as a room in a nice hotel or bed and breakfast. Two night minimum – but be forewarned, you’ll discover that’s not enough time to really explore the Wine Country. Our repeat guests have come to think of the Lodge as the perfect home away from home!

Fly direct to the Charles Schultz Sonoma/Santa Rosa airport from Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, or Las Vegas on Horizon Air. Walk off the plane, drive 25 minutes to this private, yet very conveniently located, wine country estate, and you'll be ready to start your vacation - unless you decide to go wine tasting along the way.

Alternatively, you may opt to fly into San Francisco, Oakland or Sacramento Airport and drive approximately 2 hours to the property.

Visit the Apple iTunes gift store for a free “Wine Country” app that features a calendar of events, Tasting Passes, Tasting Discount Coupons and Special offers, Pre-planned Itineraries and more.

Note: Unfortunately, Sonoma County does not permit us to host weddings, parties, events, or other large gatherings at the property. The property is solely for use by up to 8 guests.

Keywords: Custom decorated private four bedroom house with a pool and patio set among the trees.

Absolutely perfect

  • 5 of 5

Our time at the lodge was absolutely perfect! This was my wife's 50th birthday and we were joined by 3 other couples. The area is perfect and secluded which was a huge benefit from our fast paced lives. I would recommend this to anyone who wAnted to visit Napa and almost totally unplug!

Beautiful property for a wonderful weekend.

  • 5 of 5

The house, location, and pool are fabulous. We had 4 couples stay for 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend. We were all very comfortable and enjoyed gathering in the large kitchen and dining room. The pool gets a lot of sun, while the pool-side lounge chairs are shady and cool. All in all, a perfect property!

Wow What a Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5

The house could not have been any more perfect. We had 5 women for 4 nights and was very confortable. The place is set off from the main road about 4 miles but was not too bad. I rather stay in a house than a hotel anytime. We all could gather in the kitchen in the morning and have coffee or sit outside on the back patio and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the early evenings we would have cheese and wine on the patio and just relax after an all day of shopping and wineries. One of the girls was a "runner" so she ran in the mornings. It is quite hilly so make sure you are in good shape to take on this exercise. We had private wine tastings which were all in St. Helena, 20 min drive. The shopping in St Helena was awesome!

I cannot say enough about the house, trip, restaurants, wineries… It was one of the BEST "girl trips" we have taken! I highly recommend the "Lodge" for a small group or family to stay at!

Wonderful getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house was the perfect home away from home. We had 7 women getting together to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful, surrounded by mature trees. Friday night we BBQ'd using the outside kitchen, even though it was raining outside. Saturday was a great day for wine tasting in the area. We had a limo take us around and had a great dinner at Farmstead This house allowed all of us to hang out together, laugh and create lifetime memories.
