The Blake House (circa 1865) is located in the heart of the Historic District just 2-1/2 blocks from the beach and 1-1/2 blocks from the pedestrian mall.
Our accommodation includes: Individually controlled central air conditioning, central heat and ceiling fans... Parlor with cable TV/DVD/VCR...Fully equipped kitchen with microwave...Two private bedrooms (master bedroom with queen size bed and half bath and twin bedroom)...Full bathroom with tub and shower.
Our summer weekly guests are invited to join us, at their leisure, for Sunday morning breakfast served on the porch.
In the fall, winter and spring, our guests enjoy muffins and breads (on arrival) along with all the makings for coffee and tea in the privacy of their apartment.

Our family has consistently enjoyed staying at The Blake House for the past 10 years to celebrate our anniversary. Connie & Jerry are wonderful hosts at this clean and comfortable home away from home. The muffins are delicious and the apartments are well equipped. It is perfectly located only a few blocks from both the beach and the Washington Mall without feeling like you are in the middle of everything. We look forward to returning there every year.
We loved it! Everything was perfect--clean, quaint, equipped, comfortable, close to everything. The only thing missing was the opportunity to stay longer!! Our hosts couldn't have been kinder. Hopefully we'll be back.
We enjoyed a perfect stay at The Blake House. The location on Hughes Street (tree-lined, in the heart of the historic district) is perfect for porch-sitting and quiet people watching, as well as being a short 5-10 minute stroll to the beach and the shopping/eating district.
The apartments are spotless and comfortable, offering baskets of beach read novels, a fully equipped kitchen, and abundant dresser and closet storage. While the third-floor apartment is up several flights of steep stairs, it is flooded with light and exceptionally welcoming.
The owners host a gourmet welcome breakfast on the porch on Sunday mornings. In short, the perfect holiday get-away.
The Blake House is the BEST place to stay in Cape May!!!! Lovely street and so convenient to the beach and shopping. The owners of the Blake House are the most attentive folks around, so helpful and there to help you have the best of times with recommendations for restaurants and what to see and do. If you are lucky enough to get an accommodation in season Connie has the nicest brunch on her lovely wrap around porch for all of her guests on Sunday morning. A real treat!!! Can’t say enough about this wonderful place, been staying here now for many many years. Oh by the way the horse and carriage rides come down Hughes street and it is a real step back in time to see and hear the clip clop of the horses, especially in the evening as you sit on Connies porch and sip an iced tea and relax. Just heaven!!!!! All of the apartments are beautiful, roomy and no doubt the cleanest in Cape May.
We've been going to Cape May for several years now. We love the Blake House! Great central location. close to shops and the beach. The kitchens are well equipped so we can eat at home when we want to - there’s even a grill and outdoor eating area. The large front porch is a great gathering place in the evening. Connie and Jerry are so friendly and knowledgeable. We always get new recommendations for things going on in the area. Very clean and well maintained.

Cancellation Policy: payments will be refunded only when the property is re-rented and10% of such refund shall be deducted by owners as a fee for re-rental services

SUMMER WEEKLY RENTAL - A deposit of half the rental fee is required when sending in lease agreement/ balance plus $100 refundable security deposit is due 1 month prior to arrival.
OFF-SEASON NIGHTLY RENTAL - A deposit of half the rental fee is required upon making a reservation/balance is due upon arrival.
