Great House, Nice Location, Fabulous View!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week at this great Tahoe home. We loved being able to walk or ride bikes into Tahoe City. And the walk down to the beach park was even easier. I can't say enough about the view from the living room and the deck. We spent almost all of our time out on the deck, enjoying the lake view. It was so peaceful. The house was exactly as described in the listing; very clean, with plenty of linens and a well equipped kitchen. Having two rooms downstairs was perfect. The teens took over those two rooms, and my husband and I had the master upstairs. Mark was a pleasure to work with, answering all of my email questions before and during our stay. The spa was a nice bonus; we could even see the lake from there. It looks like we'll be planning an annual trip to Tahoe, and we don't think we could find a better house.

Our Happy Place

  • 5 of 5

This mountain home is a perfect place to gather on the West Shore. This is the fourth time we’ve stayed here and it won’t be our last.

It accommodates a large group for entertaining on its large outdoor decks. The home is stocked with glassware, pots and pans, and kitchen gadgets to cook up a great meal. We don’t have to bring additional items from home. We enjoyed our evenings on the deck playing cards, watching the sunset and enjoying the mountain air.

The lower level of the home is perfect for our grown up children and their families. We like to stay for two weeks and this home fits a changing guest list. There is a huge, shelved, closet, on the main level to stage all your stuff It keeps it out of the main living spaces.

Every morning we start our day with a hike up Alpine Road to Open Space Trails or a bike ride. The home is so centrally located. We can walk to the beach, restaurants, hiking trails, and into town. Truckee and North Shore are a short drive away. The garage is the perfect place to store our bikes and kayaks.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us. We will be back.

Comfortable home with fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this home. It is a tasteful, clean, comfortable, and well appointed lake home that we will be thrilled to use again one day. We stayed about a week with our three small children and were pleased with the layout of the home- it allowed us to put the kids to bed and still stay up to read, talk, watch TV, hot tub, etc without disturbing them at all. I found Mark to be so wonderful to work with as we were planning this leg of our trip. He was quick to respond, easy to get a hold of, and very accommodating with small requests we had (thanks for the umbrella- key for the baby at the beach!). The homeowners beach is actually so nice and easy- we would explore other areas in the morning and head to Tahoe Park Beach in the afternoon after naps. Really well maintained- plan on renting a grill one night to enjoy as the sun is setting! As you are driving in it feels like there are a lot of (nice) houses right next to one another, but in actuality we did feel pretty secluded in that we could rarely hear or see other neighbors when we were sitting outside. Fabulous location too...loved the West shore of Tahoe!! Thanks Mark!

Family trip to Lake Tahoe

  • 4 of 5

Well positioned house near Tahoe City. The kitchen was very well equipped, beds comfortable, plenty of space for adults and children. Spent most of our time on the deck which had both sun and shade. Use of the beach chairs and umbrella was an added bonus. It was a really peaceful spot with gorgeous views of the lake. Spent time on the lake swimming near the private beach club, visited Donner Lake (much warmer than Tahoe) took a late afternoon trip to Emerald bay and parked with no problem, walked up Eagle Rock and previewed a potential ski trip to Squaw Valley. Always a joy to come back to this comfortable house. Tahoe City is pleasant enough to stroll round and we had a reasonable dinner at the Blue Agave. Definitely try the jalapeno margaritas! Would recommend this house and would stay again. Owner (Mark)answered all my queries and questions promptly. Great service.

Cousins Reunion Birthday trip to Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

We recently got back from a glorious 10 days in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Staying in this cabin was perfect! It's really in an ideal location and soooo comfortable. The bds are comfortable and it's stocked with everything you could possibly need. (except bech towels- so bring your own)! The private Tahoe Oark Beach Club is delightful with absolutely beautiful views. It's got grassy areas and swimming areas, docks and is adjacent to Sunnyside restaurant.

We spent every morning on the deck enjoying coffee while taking in the beautiful lake views and every evening soaking in the hot tub. Mark, the owner is really easy to deal with and always responds to questions quickly. He even directed me to exactly where I could find his blender to use when I inquired if he had one there. The wifi went out while we wre there and he had it fixed immediately and directed me to a wonderful bakery/ coffee shop relight near by that I could bike to (using one of his bikes) to hop in a free network if I needed it pronto. (I didn't-- but I lived the Bakery tip)! I would highly recommend this wonderful cabin for anyone who's looking for casual comfort surrounded by the quiet private lot where it's located. It has a lot of little nooks, so you don't feel like you and your guests are cinstNtly on top of each other. We had a mini cousins reunion while I celebrated my birthday and honestly I couldn't have been more pleased --/- just I suppose if I could have stYed even longer!

Don't hesitate. This is a great rental on the beautiful West Shore! We'll be back.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family had a great time. It really was a great location. Far enough away from the center of Tahoe City to get caught up in traffic yet close enough for a nice walk to it. The Homeowners beach was really nice and clean. The house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. I would stay here again if I got the chance too.
