About Kurt Coyne
We are Kurt and Beth Ann Coyne. We live near Danville, Kentucky. We have been visiting Lake Cumberland since the early '90s.
Kurt Coyne purchased this House in 2008
Why Kurt Coyne chose Russell Springs
On our first trip to Lake Cumberland we fell in love with Lake Cumberland, it's people, and it's visitors. We visit Lake Cumberland 5- 6 times per year. We originally rented houseboats, but as the price increased, we started renting property. When we saw this cabin, we knew we had to have it and we wanted to share it with friends and family.
What makes this House unique
The Cabin sits in a quiet neighborhood just above the Caney Creek Public Ramp. The roads are all Blacktop. The neighbors are all friendly. The view of the lake is great and at night, the stars are bright.

Exactly as Described...Great View and Good Value
Our family of six stayed here for two nights over Fall Break. The cabin has a beautiful view off of the back deck, and a suprisingly open floor plan for a cabin of its size. It’s a no frills place, which was perfect for us and the four boys. Also, we were very impressed with the communication provided in advance by the owners, which included a ton of info about the area. Another positive impression: super-strong WiFi, which came in handy as the rains came in. We would consider staying here again.
Thanks for the great review. Rain does happen, but we have tried to provide alternative activities, the bookshelf upstairs is filled with various games or books to help you wait out the rain. I do hope you come stay at the Cabin again. It was great having you and your family.
as advertised, clean, quiet and close to the lake.
Well maintained and had all we needed; except maybe closer to water would have put the icing on the
very comfortable place with breathtaking views.
The Perfect getaway for my family!!
My 3 teens and I spent 3 nights at this neat cabin and had a wonderful time. The cabin had everything we needed and more!! The boat ramp was a mile from the house so we brought our jet skis along. The sunset view from the 2 back decks was amazing and it ended our perfect days on the water!!! We used the outside cooking deck and had campfires in the evenings, so it was the perfect set up for us!!! We did not even use the computer or DVD player to watch movies as we brought cards along and we played some of their board games in the cabin. We actually ended up running into the Owners while on Caney Creek, as they were out boating too, so they were very friendly and helpful. We would love to return to this Cabin again and would definitely recommend it to anyone!! We always enjoy our time on Lake Cumberland. :)
Thank you for staying at our cabin. It was great meeting you and your family. We strive to provide a clean comfortable place close to the water, 1/4 mile to the water on paved roads. I wish we could take credit for the sunset views, but we were just lucky to have them and we love sharing them. We look forward to your return.
Great location on the lake and awesome cabin!
1/4 mile from a nice boat ramp. So many little amenities for this furnished place. Everything was simple and straight forward. The bugs were bad on the lake near dark, then when got back to the cabin just up the road there were only a couple mosquitoes around but just take some bug spray. I definetly will be going back to this cabin. Loved it!
Thank you for the nice review. I would like to take credit for the less amount of bugs by the cabin, but I can't. Generally there is a little breeze up at the cabin that helps keep the bugs at bay. The ramp is a nice ramp and is accessible when the lake is at summer or winter pool. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to your return visit.
Nice, simple, accommodating
A great place for a small-medium sized group of people. Well kept and has all the amenities one would need.
