Mammoth Ski in/Ski Out Condo at Canyon Lodge - Closest Location to the Lifts - Sleeps

LOCATION...LOCATION...LOCATION! Our recently upgraded condo looks out on the Canyon Express ski run and chair lift.

Located in the Sierra Megeve Condominium Complex, our condo is located in the building closest to the slopes. All you need to do is grab your skis, cross the street and ski down to Canyon Lodge, Chair 8, the Canyon Express lift, or the ski school meeting spot.

Enjoy views of the mountain from the window seat. In fact, you can watch members of your family coming down the mountain on their way home for lunch!!

Our 2 bedroom/2 bath condo sleeps 8 comfortably. There is a new king size bed in the master bedroom, new mattresses on our queen/queen bunk bed in the second bedroom, and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.

Our newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms have new cabinets, granite countertops, all new appliances and our dining room table expands to seat 12!!

Last year we purchased all new mattresses, bedding and decor items. Additional upgrades that we have recently put in our home include new flooring, new flat screen HDTV's, and Blu-ray/DVD players. Enjoy iPod hook ups in each of the rooms, and free internet access. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace while watching your favorite movie on our new TV with upgraded sound system!!

There is also a deck off the living room from which you can watch the village gondola go by. After a full day of skiing, take the village gondola from right outside our door downtown for shopping, dining and other après ski activities.

Our building has underground parking for two vehicles. There is also a pool, outdoor spa, and laundry room.

About Gila Willner

We purchased this home because we love coming to Mammoth as a family. Our kids love the flexibility of being able to ski home when they want to, and the location makes it easy to ski in, take a short break, and then come back out and join up with the rest of the group. I love being able to ski in early, put up a big pot of soup, and have lunch ready when everybody else comes back. I especially love sitting in the window seat with my hot tea and watching the skiers coming down the mountain.

Why Gila Willner chose Mammoth Lakes

We purchased this condo because of its unparalleled location. We love the easy access to the mountain and the beautiful views.

What makes this condo unique

After a hard day of skiing, we love being able to spend some quality family time watching a movie on one of the new flat screen TV's. We also enjoy cooking and having friends over for dinner.

Walking distance to the slopes!

  • 5 of 5

Gila's place was so convenient being right next to the slopes. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything that you needed to cook a meal! Two families of 4 each slept comfortably: 4 in one room, 2 in another and 2 on the sofa bed. The manager Joe was very helpful getting us the keys to the building and showing us where to park. We would recommend this place to others, and we would consider it for our next visit as well. Thank you Gila!

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Great location at the base of canyon lodge. Be sure to check though that CanyonLodge is open if you are a skier as Canyon Lodge opens and closes at different times than the general ski season.

The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The condo was very clean. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi are a bit dated but serviceable.

Well Appointed and Super Convenient Mammoth Condo!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at this condo over spring break with our 2 kids! The communication from the owner was very thoughtful and organized leading up to our visit. The condo has all of the essentials plus extras that make it a cozy place to stay after a day on the slopes. We loved skiing up to the path almost at the entrance to the condo. We will be back for another visit!

Spectacular location

  • 5 of 5

Check-in process was fairly smooth and didn't require a meeting with anyone. The location is top notch. The canyon lodge ski lift is literally across the street. The amenities are nice and the owners are responsive. I plan on making this a yearly trip!

Location is Great

  • 4 of 5

So i will start by saying, we have stayed many places over the years, so i feel that you should take my review seriously, as i don't hold anything back.. Our first impression ie: pros , The place is laid our very nice, very roomy, and updated tv's , grainte etc, made for a very good first impression, it is right across the street from Canyon lodge, which makes it very convenient, just walk across the street and you are there, The master bed is very roomy as the bathrooms fine, We did like the heater in the bathroom, when you get out of the shower, The heaters worked fine, as did all of the appliances, .. now for the cons: This not a true ski in , ski out.. yes it is only across the street, very easy, but not a ski in / out, Next is the parking, if i would have brought my truck, which is a 4 door dodge ram, i would not have been able to fit in the small underground parking, There is a problem or too small of water heater, to keep up even with one shower, my wife ran out of hot water, in the morning, after a very short shower, let alone trying to use the jaccuzi bath, I also experencied it, when i tried to take a shower after being gone all day on the slopes, in less than 10 min, i was moving it over to the max position, maybe it just needs to be turned up hotter, also the heater in the master bed, as constantly has a small ticking noise all though the nite, i finanly was able adjust the guard on the front of the unit, then next nite, ( bring own pillow if you want a nice one) , the heater in the hall way was going off and on every 5 min or so, very loud and anyoing while you are trying to sleep, if you close the door, would probally be fine, but we had a little on in the other room so we didn't want to close it, The lock feature is pretty cool, but one time it would not connect for a few min, but make sure you phone is charged or you will not get in, In the book it said there was extra wood on the patio, but will so much snow, we could not get it, and even if we did, it would have been wet, so they should provide you with more dry wood, in this kind of weather. Also it states that you can use the gondola to go to the village to eat, but you better eat early, as when you are done skiing, and after a shower, it is closed.. so will have to drive or take a uber/ cab. We dont' know if the spa was working as it was covered, Overall it was nice, but for what we paid, we would have been able to stay at the village with better accommodations.
