Opening day for the Ski Season is November 10, 2016!!

LOCATION...LOCATION...LOCATION! Our recently upgraded condo looks out on the Canyon Express ski run and chair lift.

Located in the Sierra Megeve Condominium Complex, our condo is located in the building closest to the slopes. All you need to do is grab your skis, cross the street and ski down to Canyon Lodge, Chair 8, the Canyon Express lift, or the ski school meeting spot.

Enjoy views of the mountain from the window seat. In fact, you can watch members of your family coming down the mountain on their way home for lunch!!

Our 2 bedroom/2 bath condo sleeps 8 comfortably. There is a new king size bed in the master bedroom, new mattresses on our queen/queen bunk bed in the second bedroom, and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.

Our newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms have new cabinets, granite countertops, all new appliances and our dining room table expands to seat 12!!

Last year we purchased all new mattresses, bedding and decor items. Additional upgrades that we have recently put in our home include new flooring, new flat screen HDTV's, and Blu-ray/DVD players. Enjoy iPod hook ups in each of the rooms, and free internet access. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace while watching your favorite movie on our new TV with upgraded sound system!!

There is also a deck off the living room from which you can watch the village gondola go by. After a full day of skiing, take the village gondola from right outside our door downtown for shopping, dining and other après ski activities.

Our building has underground parking for two vehicles. There is also a pool, outdoor spa, and laundry room.

About Gila Willner

We purchased this home because we love coming to Mammoth as a family. Our kids love the flexibility of being able to ski home when they want to, and the location makes it easy to ski in, take a short break, and then come back out and join up with the rest of the group. I love being able to ski in early, put up a big pot of soup, and have lunch ready when everybody else comes back. I especially love sitting in the window seat with my hot tea and watching the skiers coming down the mountain.

Gila Willner purchased this condo in 2003

Why Gila Willner chose Gold Country / High Sierra

We purchased this condo because of its unparalleled location. We love the easy access to the mountain and the beautiful views.

What makes this condo unique

After a hard day of skiing, we love being able to spend some quality family time watching a movie on one of the new flat screen TV's. We also enjoy cooking and having friends over for dinner.

A good stay at this condo

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at the condo in August 2016. It's conveniently located and from it we drove to many hiking destinations. The Mammoth Lakes region is lovely in the summer, with its fresh air and lakes. One star we deducted from the stay was that we were not clear about the number of beds. It has one King bed and two bunk beds. From photos, I thought it was 2 queen beds besides the bunk beds. For our family of 5, one of us slept on the sofa, which was OK. The condo is well-kept. It was good stay for us.

Owner's Response: Dear An, I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay in our condo!! I'm sorry that the bedding arrangement was not what you expected. I thought that the listing clearly states that the master has a king size bed, and that the second bedroom has a queen/queen bunk bed. The bunk bed has a queen size bed on the bottom and a queen size bed on the top. All of these three beds have new plush mattresses that were just purchased in January 2016. The living room has a queen size sofa sleeper. I'm glad that you were able to make the bedding arrangements work for your family. I'm sorry for any miscommunication. Sincerely, Gila Willner

Summer in Mammoth

  • 5 of 5

Mammoth is beautiful in summer and this property is perfect for family travel. It is well appointed for eating in and has a beautiful view. It's location is close enough to town (walkable, about 1 mile) and has great internet, a pool and jacuzzi for soaking at the end of the day after biking and hiking.

Great location; nicely decorated; very clean

  • 4 of 5

Impressed in every way except one . . . this place does not sleep 8! The sofa sleeper is "unsleepable" unless you want to sleep on a hammock strung over a pipeline. Luckily, we've had experience so brought air matresses for the two left over bodies . . . just in case!

Would definitely book again, however.

Owner's Response: Dear Edwin, I'm so sorry that you did not find the sofa sleeper comfortable. We actually special ordered this sofa sleeper from a specific manufacturer because it has a 7 inch thick mattress instead of the typical 5 inch one, and because it is extra long. I will be sure to try it out when we are there in a few weeks, and will look to replace it if there is a problem. I hope that you enjoyed the other aspects of your stay. I'm glad to see that you would be happy to return!!

A Terrific Summer Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This condo has everything a family could need to have a relaxing, enjoyable vacation in the summer. It's very clean and well maintained, has internet for the kids (and let's face it--adults need it too), and located super close to town. While my husband and I chose to walk the one and half miles to the bakery, my teens were comfortable zipping around on the free trolly that has a stop right outside the condo complex. We prefer to eat in quite a bit, so we'd like more pantry space than what we had access to , but we were able to move things around to stock up and live comfortably in this home away from home. The view from the living room is gorgeous, too!

great winter location

  • 3 of 5

We stayed in the summer and went mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding. The condo was in a great location for skiiers and it was a short drive to the lakes. We would probably choose a different condo next time. Things worked well in the unit. The unit itself was just a bit dated, including the pool area. Our kids liked the room with bunk beds. We all enjoyed Mammoth!

Owner's Response: Dear Erin, I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay in Mammoth. I am surprised that you found our condo to be "dated", as we have replaced almost everything in the condo in the last few years. If it is the complex itself, or more specifically the pool area that you are describing, our association is actually considering several proposals right now about ways to update that area. Within the next year the pool area should be completely new according to the designs and plans that the board presented to our owners last month. If there are any issues that you experienced that more specific to my condo, I would really appreciate if you could let me know so that I can address them. Thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Gila Willner

Best Location Ever!

  • 5 of 5

Our Ohana had the best time in Mammoth, our condo was the perfect location for the adults and kids! It was just steps away from the ski rentals and lifts then after it closed we would take the kiddies to sled and play snowball fights right across the condo so awesome! Condo was equipt with all that we needed to make our own meals and relax afterwards.

Aloha, Da Miyata Ohana
