This downtown Memphis townhome is in the premiere location for accessing sporting events at the FedEx Forum and AutoZone Park, historic Beale Street, art galleries, restaurants, pubs, discos, sports bars and a myriad of other entertainment venues. Most are within walking distance or a short trolley ride away. This townhome has a security gate with a back entrance to a large two-car garage with direct access into the first of four levels to include a furnished roof-top deck. It is equipped with wireless internet and flat screen TV's in the living area and master bedroom.

The residents in this area are some of the friendliest, most fun-loving people you will ever encounter. It is a very safe area in the middle of an entertainment mecca.

The townhome features a small enclosed front porch with a wrought iron entry gate, a living room that includes a piano for the musically inclined, a separate dining area, and a bar opening into the fully equipped kitchen. It is in excellent condition and is colorfully decorated with a Memphis and music flair.

There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. The master bedroom has a king bed; the second bedroom has a queen bed. The large walk-in closet off the master bath has a full size futon which will sleep one adult or two children comfortably. We also have a queen blow-up mattress, if needed.

About Travis Smith

I am a life-long Memphian with extensive knowledge of the area and all it has to offer. If desired, I will be happy to share my recommendations and insight into the area. This was my private residence for approximately two years and later served as a great get-away for my husband and me from our residence in Germantown, a suburb of Memphis

Travis Smith purchased this townhome in 2003

Why Travis Smith chose Memphis

When I purchased this townhome, I was single and drawn to the area because of the myriad of activities within walking distance. Once work was finished for the week, I could park my car for the weekend and walk to any number of entertainment venues and great restaurants. There is always something going on downtown. It is truly a vibrant neighborhood!

What makes this townhome unique

The greatest asset to this property is the easy accessibility to almost anything you may want to do - restaurants, sporting events, night life, art galleries, historic sites and the breath-taking riverfront. If you love good food, live music and theater as much as I do, you will be in heaven. The neighbors are phenomenal!

Great Place to stay to see Memphis - highly recommended!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at this property and were surprised how close we were to most of the attractions in Memphis. The only attraction we had to drive to was Graceland.

The accomodations were awesome and the rental process was easy and smooth! The property was clean, maintained and the description was accurate.

Great location, unit needs some work

  • 4 of 5

We had a great trip to Memphis. This condo is in a great, central location - walking distance both to Beale St and the Civil Rights Museum. The parking situation is also nice - a 2-car garage and street parking right outside the unit. The unit itself could use some TLC as there were several examples of minor damage (stained carpets, mismatched paint covering up a repair, leaky toilets, stains around bathroom window, master bedroom door has large scrape, squeaky fans, and loose electrical outlets). Some new towels and wash cloths without stains and a good cleaning of all of the dishes would freshen up the place. It would also help to have back-up supplies on hand of paper products since that is listed as an amenity that is provided. We did not cook, nor did we use the roof (too hot while we were there) so we cannot comment on that. With some TLC, this condo could be really great given its location and parking for multiple cars.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your concern and comments. The carpet is brand new and the only spots we were aware of was a couple of places on stairs that appeared recently. We have worked at getting these up and have done so again. Hopefully, this time will be successful. There was also a small stain in the Master Bedroom which was new, and we were unaware of it. We worked on removing that today, as well. The water stain around the window in the guest bathroom is new and most likely due to some heavy rainstorms we have had recently. Within the last month, we repaired and repainted windows, but evidently this one needs some caulking around it. I have checked all towels and have replaced a couple of those. All other stains were extremely small; we chose white towels so they could be bleached every time they are washed for stain removal. The retouched paint in the Master Bedroom was done recently, and we have decided to just repaint the whole room as the paint just did not match even though it is from the same can as was originally used. Apparently, the paint on the walls had faded a bit over time. The door has been scarred for a while as a result of the bathroom room door being opened against it and probably needs replacing. We have checked ceiling fans and could detect no clicks or sounds. We also could not detect any leaks in any of the toilets. We did check the guest room bed and, while there is some noise upon movement, we did not find it overwhelming. However, we have plans to replace both mattress and springs in the immediate future. We inspected the dishes and inquired of our cleaning crew and could find no problem with any dishes being dirty nor have we had complaints about this before. Again, thanks for taking the time to bring these matters to our attention.

Perfect stay at a wonderful condo

  • 5 of 5

3 couples visiting Memphis for the first time and we had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, beautiful and in a great location. The rooftop setting is fantastic and we would definitely stay there again.

Good but not great. Needs some work done.

  • 3 of 5

Overall the place is good but there are some issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The second bedroom and bath have some major issues. Ceiling fan squeaks, bed is completely past it and uncomfortable, bath is in desperate need of some repairs especially the window, and mold growing in garage ceiling. Rest of place was fine and location is nice if just a tad noisy on the weekend.

Owner's Response: We were unaware of these issues as we have had no complaints about any of these things before. We will check the ceiling fan to make sure it does not squeak. We have recently had some windows repaired and will examine this particular one for repair if necessary. We are unaware of any issues with that bathroom. We will also examine the garage ceiling. We have had an extremely wet spring, so there may have been some seepage into the basement garage. We are happy that your overall experience In Memphis was a good one. We strive to keep our property in excellent shape and thank you for your comments which will aid us in accomplishing that goal.
