About Travis Smith

I am a life-long Memphian with extensive knowledge of the area and all it has to offer. If desired, I will be happy to share my recommendations and insight into the area. This was my private residence for approximately two years and later served as a great get-away for my husband and me from our residence in Germantown, a suburb of Memphis

Travis Smith purchased this townhome in 2003

Why Travis Smith chose Memphis

When I purchased this townhome, I was single and drawn to the area because of the myriad of activities within walking distance. Once work was finished for the week, I could park my car for the weekend and walk to any number of entertainment venues and great restaurants. There is always something going on downtown. It is truly a vibrant neighborhood!

What makes this townhome unique

The greatest asset to this property is the easy accessibility to almost anything you may want to do - restaurants, sporting events, night life, art galleries, historic sites and the breath-taking riverfront. If you love good food, live music and theater as much as I do, you will be in heaven. The neighbors are phenomenal!

Lovely townhome in great location.

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples staying in this townhome and loved the décor and setup. Completely met our needs. Great notebook with lots of information on the area. Easy walk to Beale Street, Orpheum Theatre, National Civil Rights Museum and restaurants. Loved the neighborhood. Will definitely book again when we return for a Memphis visit.

Thanks to Travis and Jean. They were very helpful in answering questions we had about the area.

extremely convenient location and very nice

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back next time we're in Memphis. Owners are organized with instructions on how to access and couldn't be nicer. They actually gave me and my family a ride to a local event because of yucky (snowing, cold rainy) weather. All the comforts of home, plus thoughtful----i had forgotten coffee and found some beside the coffee pot with cream and sugar, forgot a hair dryer and found one in bathroom drawer. Only issue at all occurred when I put clothes that were damp from weather in the dryer so they would be easier to pack and a loud squealing noise ensued prompting a quick turnoff. I didn't really need the dryer anyway, but can see it would have been a problem if we stayed more than 2 nights. Highly recommend this property

Owner's Response: Sorry about the noise from the dryer. The dryer works fine and the noise just started and only lasts a few seconds. We think it is a belt and will have it checked. We should have told you about it. Sorry about that

Recording Trip

  • 5 of 5

My husband's band was recording at Sun Studio so I booked us in this condo close to Beal, The Gibson Museum and many other awesome destinations. This condo was perfect. The different levels allowed for those that wanted to visit to not interrupt those that were wanting a good nights rest. We even had a 3 month old with us and we were surprised to see they even had a pack and play for them. This condo is perfect for all and is very secure. Great great location. I will book this again when we come back.

Awesome Condo

  • 5 of 5

Three friends ... we stayed in this condo for a girlfriend weekend. It is beautiful.... decorated so cool and modern. Comfy beds, great living and dining space and spacious bathrooms. So many nice little things that make a difference. Condo is in a great location.... we used Lyft to Beale Street and Peabody. Awesome little outside deck on 3rd level. There are stairs to go up to bedrooms and deck so if you can't do stairs, wouldn't recommend, but ........this is the nicest VRBO rental we have ever stayed in. Travis is great; was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend this condo!

Great Townhouse Near Beale Street

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay if you are looking for a fun vacation in downtown Memphis. Property was clean, roomy, and near everything we wanted to see. Your a short walk to the trolley which loops downtown and costs a $1 to ride. Lots of nearby restaurants and walking distance to main street and Beale street.
