This downtown Memphis townhome is in the premiere location for accessing sporting events at the FedEx Forum and AutoZone Park, historic Beale Street, art galleries, restaurants, pubs, discos, sports bars and a myriad of other entertainment venues. Most are within walking distance or a short trolley ride away. This townhome has a security gate with a back entrance to a large two-car garage with direct access into the first of four levels to include a furnished roof-top deck. It is equipped with wireless internet and flat screen TV's in the living area and master bedroom.
The residents in this area are some of the friendliest, most fun-loving people you will ever encounter. It is a very safe area in the middle of an entertainment mecca.
The townhome features a small enclosed front porch with a wrought iron entry gate, a living room that includes a piano for the musically inclined, a separate dining area, and a bar opening into the fully equipped kitchen. It is in excellent condition and is colorfully decorated with a Memphis and music flair.
There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. The master bedroom has a king bed; the second bedroom has a queen bed. The large walk-in closet off the master bath has a full size futon which will sleep one adult or two children comfortably. We also have a queen blow-up mattress, if needed.
The master bath features a jacuzzi tub as well as a separate full-size shower and double vanity area.
I am a life-long Memphian with extensive knowledge of the area and all it has to offer. If desired, I will be happy to share my recommendations and insight into the area. This was my private residence for approximately two years and later served as a great get-away for my husband and me from our residence in Germantown, a suburb of Memphis
Travis Smith purchased this townhome in 2003
When I purchased this townhome, I was single and drawn to the area because of the myriad of activities within walking distance. Once work was finished for the week, I could park my car for the weekend and walk to any number of entertainment venues and great restaurants. There is always something going on downtown. It is truly a vibrant neighborhood!
The greatest asset to this property is the easy accessibility to almost anything you may want to do - restaurants, sporting events, night life, art galleries, historic sites and the breath-taking riverfront. If you love good food, live music and theater as much as I do, you will be in heaven. The neighbors are phenomenal!
We had a great time at this property and were surprised how close we were to most of the attractions in Memphis. The only attraction we had to drive to was Graceland.
The accomodations were awesome and the rental process was easy and smooth! The property was clean, maintained and the description was accurate.
We had a great trip to Memphis. This condo is in a great, central location - walking distance both to Beale St and the Civil Rights Museum. The parking situation is also nice - a 2-car garage and street parking right outside the unit. The unit itself could use some TLC as there were several examples of minor damage (stained carpets, mismatched paint covering up a repair, leaky toilets, stains around bathroom window, master bedroom door has large scrape, squeaky fans, and loose electrical outlets). Some new towels and wash cloths without stains and a good cleaning of all of the dishes would freshen up the place. It would also help to have back-up supplies on hand of paper products since that is listed as an amenity that is provided. We did not cook, nor did we use the roof (too hot while we were there) so we cannot comment on that. With some TLC, this condo could be really great given its location and parking for multiple cars.
3 couples visiting Memphis for the first time and we had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, beautiful and in a great location. The rooftop setting is fantastic and we would definitely stay there again.
Overall the place is good but there are some issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The second bedroom and bath have some major issues. Ceiling fan squeaks, bed is completely past it and uncomfortable, bath is in desperate need of some repairs especially the window, and mold growing in garage ceiling. Rest of place was fine and location is nice if just a tad noisy on the weekend.
Everything was as stated. Nice property. Loved the rooftop deck. Great location, we walked everywhere. Nice to have the garage.
We had a wonderful time. The condo has everything you could ever need. It is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is walking distance to Beale Street and the Art District. We really had a wonderful time and look forward to stay here again.
