WELCOME TO OUR BEACH COTTAGE STYLE OCEANFRONT PREMIER 2 bedroom 2 bath unit at the MAHANA on Kaanapali. Our condo is located on the Ground Floor, and the south end corner unit, South Corner, (heading towards Lahaina town) in L building Unit #119. We can only say 'Wow'!!

Our condo unit 119 has been revived, renewed and beautifully remodeled and set up and ready for the best vacation rental in our deluxe corner of Paradise here at the Mahana on north Kaanapali Beach. We have put thought into every detail for our guests. The new photos are now updated, have a peek at the new look!

Once you arrive you will never want to leave! The views never get old, they change daily, you are less than 20 feet away from wiggling your toes in the warm sand, or sitting on the lawn next to the beach, and the very best, is being able to enter into the warm pristine blue Pacific right out front! No need to pack up and go find a beach, it is front and center waiting for your to come out and play, this is real Paradise!! Swimming, snorkeling,or just lounging in the warm sunshine you have it all just steps off your private lanai.

This complex comes fully operational with the large oceanfront swimming pool and jet spa, barbecue areas, tennis courts, shuffle board too! Or just hang out in the oceanfront lounging area and take it all in. There is also a poolside beverage cart where you can purchase your favorite beverage or even your morning cup of java! WE ALSO NOW HAVE A DESIGNATED SMOKERS AREA SET - UP SEE THE PHOTO.... if you feel the need to smoke.... NO SMOKING LAWS ARE NOW IN EFFECT....

The condo can sleep 6 adults very comfortably, it is very spacious and large in square footage. We have 2 TV's, and a DVD player/ CD stereo in the living room. Also if you need to be connected, we have wireless internet in the condo.

Sit back relax and open your lanai doors and you will enjoy the cool ocean breeze, that is what oceanfront is all about! Dine outside at your tableside or sip a refreshing tropical drink and watch the whales breach out front during whale season! Just like the photo we took out front.

Just in case you want to go and explore other beach areas we supply some beach gear for guest use. This includes beach towels, beach bags, beach umbrella, beach chairs, beach cooler, a beach ball and some kids sand bucket and pail.

Shops, a grocery store, resturants, a outdoor Farmers market, and cafes are only a few blocks away. The new 'Dukes Beachhouse Cafe' is a short 3 minute walk down the beach from the condo.

And if you like to golf, you are only a short drive away from 3 word class courses. Come and relax and enjoy, you will no be disappointed!

Beautiful condo with breathtaking views!

Perfect location with easy access to amenities and restaurants! Well-maintained property and gorgeous condo! Loved how close we were to beach and the sunsets were amazing, right from the back patio! Our check-in process and instructions were excellent! Enjoyed how convenient it was to grocery store and restaurants. Visitors must visit Maui fish market, just a couple of blocks from condo! The condo is everything described in listing, and more! I would strongly recommend this property to friends and family! Loved that this unit had "just steps from the beach" access. So many other condos were much further from the beach. We will most definitely come back!

Amazing Vacation

Loved our stay at Mahana! The condo was clean and well maintained. The pool is small but sufficient. The beach was easily accessible. We had a great time. I would certainly recommend this unit. No complaints!

Great place to stay

Fifteen years ago we stayed at the Mahana and we always wanted to come back; at the time we never thought it'd take 15 years but we finally made it June 2016! "We" included me, my husband of 44 years, our adult daughter, and her mother-in-law. The two bedrooms with a king sized bed in the master and two double beds in the second bedroom worked perfect for us. Add in the fact that my husband wanted to be on the ground floor made it a win-win situation for everyone. The two bedroom end unit (119) in the Lanai building was very roomy and had a good sized living room, but the large lanai was everyone's favorite spot to hang out. Six comfortable chairs and a table on the lanai was where we started our morning with a cup of coffee and finished our day looking at the beautiful sunsets. Some of the things we really appreciated about this unit were: how clean the condo was, the comfortable beds, the well stocked kitchen, the Tommy Bahama chairs for the beach and having a washer and dryer in the unit. If you like to barbecue your own dinner, the Mahana has several grills that they keep very clean...my husband is very picky about his barbecue grill being clean and he was happy to see how well maintained they were. If you'd rather eat out someplace close by, Duke's is right next door at the Honua Kai.

We had one little the problem with the air conditioner but Bonnie was very quick to take care of it. Not only did she have maintainable come right over but she stopped by about 45 minutes after I called to make sure the problem was taken care of. She was so helpful!

One last though. We were all missing our pets at home but fortunately for us we got to be friends with the resident cat. For being a feral cat she sure was friendly and would come each morning and sit on my husbands lap (after he gave her some special cat treats). We even nicknamed her "Meowi".

Comfortable condo and great location!

We visited Maui in mid-May 2016 with our 1.5 year old and another couple with their 10 month old. The unit worked perfectly for us. It is situated directly in front of the beach and easy access to the main Boardwalk. The condo was spacious enough for 6 of us and was appropriately stocked. Not a ton of extras so I wouldn't call it a luxury unit but you won't miss a necessity. It would have been nice if the main dishes in the kitchen were microwave safe (especially with kids). Bonnie was great and helped accommodate an outside company bringing in our kid rental items before the check in time. The condo has a coffee stand that is open until early afternoon. Otherwise no other food options on the property. Dukes Restaurant (on a neighboring resort) is a quick walk off the main Boardwalk. All in all, we would definitely stay here again!

Great Place! However...

Our family very much enjoyed this updated ocean front condo. The view was stunning from the living area and master. Chairs, umbrella and snorkeling stuff is all provided. So now time for the however - please be aware that there is a reef directly in front of the condo. So though you can swim it is not pleasant or safe. Definately not for small children. For sandy safe swim you must walk a great distance and remember that you have to carry all of your stuff! That to me kind of defeats the purpose of the location. Also we paid for a late check out and ended up locked out for an hour and a half (there is a key pad and the combo changed on us with our stuff inside!). The manager was unavailable so we went to the front desk where they told us they were not allowed to let us in because it was privately owned. Finally we found a building super to let us in. The manager finally called back later that night to see if everything was ok. All in all the condo is beautiful and beats the resorts by far. Just a few bumps along the road!

Owner's Response: Aloha James and Family, thank you for your review on our Mahana condo. I wanted to respond to this review as the problem with the late check code, is that you used the original code all week, that was for the regular check out. I emailed a new code to use on March 30th, once we set up the late check out.... I don't think you used the correct code... hence the lock out. I am sorry I was not available at the time you called, this is my error. The 2nd code I emailed to you once we changed your reservation also had the NEW DOOR CODE.... On Maui this winter we had record breaking winter swells, these effect all the beachs and sand along the area.... there is a reef about 5-6 feet out front of all the condos along the Kaanapali beach area.... the winter swells just happened to take out a large amount of beach ( 70%) more than normal. If you were staying on the opposite side of the island of Maui, that is where all the sand (beach) was moved to this winter. This is mother nature working at its best... I am sorry that you the beach had not returned to the regular area while you were here staying on Maui. I do hope you come back and give us a second chance.... we love our returning guests. And again I will appologise for the door code mix up... Mahalo

Loved it

We just came back after spending 9 nights in this great condo. I thought the pictures of the unit being so close to the ocean might have been a little misleading but no, they were spot on. You are right on top of the ocean. With two kids we really appreciated the extras such as boogie boards and beach chairs that are kept in the unit. Location is great. Beach right out in front is not the best as there is plenty of coral and rock. Not a bad idea to have some beach slippers to wear. You do not have to walk far to find a kid friendly beach though. We also enjoyed driving to some of the other beaches in the area for some snorkeling. As far as a couple of reviews mentioning a lack of privacy, we really did not see it the same way. Sure we had some people walking past our windows but I never felt like anybody cared enough to even look in our direction unless we were on the lanai and then maybe they would say hello. One reviewer mentioned the lack of privacy in the master bedroom due to the type of blinds. This may have been corrected as we had curtains and blinds in the room. Room stayed quite dark and I guaranty that nobody could see anything inside of that room from the outside. In any case I found the benefits of being on ground level to far outweigh any negatives. One reviewer mentioned the cheap quality cookware and I would agree. He brought up picking up a quality but inexpensive set from Costco which made me laugh as the knives were dangerously dull and my thought was "geez, go to Costco and spend $40 and change out the whole set." Costco can solve most problems. These were minor issues but for a couple of dollars they can be solved. My only other suggestion would be to add a box that would allow guests to stream Amazon Prime and Net Flix. We rented dvd's many of the nights and that was fine but with so many people subscribing to one or both of these programs one could simply stream videos. Pretty cheap to make that change. Next time we travel to Maui I would think this would be the first property we would consider.

Owner's Response: Aloha, Thank you for your review.. it is much appreciated. I am glad you took the time to write your thoughts. I have added the curtains in the master bedroom just in case??? This is the first time since 2010 a guest mentioned the privacy thing. I purchased both my knives and pots and pans at Costco.. seems some guests take them to other condo units or leave them at the BBQ area.. I checked what is left of the set, and they are aged, still work on the stove. I will work on replacing them in the very near future. I do leave my phone contact info at the condo, so guest can call me with issues.. I am open to fix what I can to make the stay enjoyable for all my guests. Mahalo! Bonnie
