At the crest of a winding road bordered with bougainvillea and frangipani, you’ll discover Fandango House! This charming villa sits on top of Spyglass Hill on West End Tortola and boasts stunning views of Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay and Apple Bay – home to some of the best surfing in the Caribbean.
Fandango House is comprised of three separate buildings (New Fandango, Old Fandango and the Pool House) linked together by a garden pathway. All three buildings are decorated and furnished with an island flair.
Fandango House is the perfect villa to hold a family reunion, reconnect with friends, extend time on island after a long sail, or memorialize a special occasion! Separate living spaces are IDEAL for enabling “personal time” in a group setting.
New and Old Fandango feature fully equipped kitchens, lovely verandas and patios for sunset dining and relaxing, spacious living rooms, charming bedrooms with private baths, and breathtaking views! The Pool House features a single bedroom (twin or king) with an ocean view and a private bath; and it’s literally a step away from the swimming pool!
The pool area is a fantastic place to sunbathe, entertain guests with a fresh Caribbean meal, or do some late night stargazing! Gentle mountain breezes fill the house at night and it’s not unusual to fall asleep to the music of the island tree frogs.
You must have a passport! Fly into St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Take a 45 minute ferry ride to West End Tortola. Fandango House is an easy 10 minute drive from the West End Ferry dock. You can also fly into San Juan, PR. San Juan offers commuter flights to the Beef Island Airport which is located on the East End of Tortola.

Mary Fetterly purchased this villa in 1987
What a glorious time we had at Fandango House this February! We have stayed on Tortola many times because you can’t beat the beaches, just beautiful! Our family joined us this year, there were eight of us, including our 16 month old granddaughter. Fandango House is situated at the top of a road which makes it quite private and the views are stunning. There is plenty of room to spread out with four bedrooms and four full bathrooms in the three buildings. The main house is where we spent most of our time because it provides a well equipped kitchen and two big dining areas, and is adjacent to the pool. But there is another kitchen, two living areas and an outdoor dining area in one of the other buildings! There are MANY area, in and out, to relax and enjoy the quiet. The owners provided a dinner, including wine, our first night, which was very welcome and quite lovely. Mary and the on-site manager were EXTREMELY helpful and couldn’t be nicer or more welcoming. Fandango is a comfortable home and perfect for family vacations!
We stayed at Fandango House over the Christmas Holiday with our 4 children (Ages 10-16). We will all be talking about our wonderful vacation there for years to come. The house offers so much space and the views are amazing. Every morning we would awaken to a rainbow and the view of Jost Van Dyke...At Fandango you feel like you are away from it all, yet you are so close to Smugglers Cove, Sopers Hole and Long Bay. The rental location is ideal. My kids enjoyed having their own space, yet I found that we all gathered at the large kitchen table nightly to discuss our day/look at pictures and plan our next days adventure. I loved looking out the window while washing dishes watching the surfers at Apple Bay and on New Years Eve you can actually hear the party at Foxys from Jost Van Dyke at Fandango...Great house! We can't wait to go back...Tortola is amazing and Fandango House will not disappoint you. The owners have completely stocked the house with everything you could possibly need on your vacation and they have a very reliable caretaker that was always available when needed. We highly recommend Fandango House and a relaxing adventure to Tortola!
I am currently daydreaming that I am back in Tortola right now so I decided that I should write a review about the wonderful house that I stayed in during my visit! I traveled to Tortola during the end of May with a group of friends, and it was a vacation that I will never forget. My stay at the Fandango house made my vacation all that much better! Let me first start by saying that the house is just beautiful and has spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding islands. Most days started at the beach and then ended poolside where we could still see the ocean and watch stunning sunsets. It was the perfect place to relax. The house was very clean and I could tell that it is well taken care of. We took advantage of the well-equipped kitchen, which made homemade meals very convenient. The house has many bedrooms and I slept in two different beds- both were very comfortable. Along with the indoor furniture, there was plenty of outdoor furniture surrounding the house. I felt relaxed, safe and at home at the Fandango House and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this gorgeous island!
Our time at Fandango was incredible. From the time we walked in the gates to the time we left we were blessed with a relaxing location overlooking Apple Bay and Jost Van Dyke. The lodging is great, spacious and well kept. We comfortably had beds for our entire party and the amenities were great. You will need a car to get around, but the West side of the island has all that you need. The large deck and table provides amazing dinner time dining as you watch the sunset. The pool is perfect for cooling down after a day at the beach or staying at home and relaxing on the property. Long Bay Beach was our favorite, quiet and not crowded and is a quick 5 minute drive from the house. I would highly recommend this property for anyone to use and we plan to go back ASAP!
My husband, 19 yr old son & I just returned from a wonderful week at Fandango House. We were joined by my husband's brother, sister-in-law & their 26 year old daughters. The property was absolutely perfect for our extended family. With 3 separate living spaces, we all could go to "our separate corners" and not be on top of each other, yet have plenty of space to cook & eat together, play games, etc. The house is well-stocked, very clean & very comfortable. The pictures do not do the house justice - the grounds are gorgeous! We all enjoyed the pool and loved the views! Donna, the caretaker, is awesome and was so helpful in answering any questions we came up with during our stay. The location is excellent - 5 minutes to Long Bay Beach, which is the most beautiful on the Island. It's maybe 10 into West End for groceries & the Ferry. There are a number of cute restaurants close by as well. A 4-Wheel Drive car is a must though! Be sure to take a day trip via West End ferry ($10) over to Jost Van Dyke. Eat at Foxy's & then head to White Bay ($10 cab round trip) to hang-out in front of the Soggy Dollar & enjoy their infamous pain killers! We also took a day sail out of Road Town on The Aristocat - another must do! I highly recommend Fandango House for your next trip to Tortola!
Fandango House far exceeded my expectations! It was a perfect place for a week-long girls getaway. I loved the layout with three different buildings and several decks and outdoor spaces for enjoying meals together with incredible views. Both buildings were very well equipped and had everything we could've needed. With a grocery store just a short drive down the hill, we were able to buy groceries and cook almost all of our meals at home. We loved exploring the different beaches that Tortola has to offer, but my favorite was Long Bay (which is the closest beach to Fandango House!) Fandango House served as the perfect quiet oasis after days out at the beaches!
