This self catered 1-bedroomed Family room, consists of 1 double, good size bedroom, Shower room consists corner shower, toilet and Wash-hand basin,a corridor, to the Kitchen and living, dining area combined with access to a spacious Private front sun patio with own garden furniture, for our guests to enjoy their meals outside. Free Wi-Fi, 32' inch flat-screen TV, and a fully-equipped kitchen with toaster and microwave Safety deposit box, , Mosquito net, Tile/Marble floor, fans and iron & board. use washing machine is available at no extra costs, Bed linen, 2 bath towels per person, and kitchen towels are provided and will be changed after the 1st week. Portable BBQ are arranged on request individually. Baby bed or extra bed can be arranged also on requests at additional cost. The holiday apartments are owned and run by Mr. Joseph & Mrs. Lourdes Schembri. Together, they share at least 30 years of experience within the tourist accommodation industry. They have 3 different properties available, namely Villa Santa Maria Apartments, Merill Apartments and the Vista Apartments.

Joseph's apartment and Lourdes is easy to find from the bus stop from the airport. The bus to Golden Bay, and the main points of interest of Maltes are also ready. Mellieha is a charming town in which to stay in peace. The apartment is spacious, clean, very quiet, with a private terrace area and pool very nice (because it is very hot in Malta) Joseph was available for the advice we needed. I highly, highly recommend the apartments for a stay in all serenity!

A Great Place to Stay

The apartment/s were very well described in the advert information, the rooms were all of a good size. Plenty of space and storage. The kitchens were well equipped.

The apartment/s were clean and ready for occupation when we arrived at lunch time. The grounds and pool areas were all well maintained. The pool was cleaned daily.

The owners were on hand to deal with any questions and were always helpful.

I will definitely be recommending the apartment/s to family and friends.

There were a selection of shops at the top of the road and they were open 7am - 7pm daily so we experienced no problems staying supplied with provisions.

There are a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance and all were air conditioned.

The bus service was suffering the effects of the road works but we managed to get around without a car. All in, a great place to stay for a restful holiday.

We stayed here for 2 weeks for our Honeymoon and really enjoyed it.

As promised, there was a taxi driver waiting for us at 3am in the morning even though the flight was delayed!

The apartment was clean and tidy with everything you need for self catering. The area were the residence is situated is very quiet and the pool was lovely too. We had clean towels, bed linen and tea towels weekly and air conditioning for a supplement which was lovely at night!

The apartment is within walking distance of the supermarket and bus stop and the main street of Melliah with all the shops and restaurants. We recommend a visit to Music Bar and we had a few lovely meals at Bouquet Garni (Gorg Borg Olivier Street).

If you are feeling very energetic you can walk to the quiet side of Melliah Bay from the property.

Mr and Mrs S were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Thank you so much - we would definately stay here again!

Better and Better!

Returning to Santa Maria Villa this year, we had a lovely surprise: the owners had constructed a swimming pool on the ground floor level with steps, as well as ladders, so disabled people can use it. With help, I managed. Sheer bliss! There had also been renovations to all the patio areas. As expected, the property was very clean and well maintainted. The villa apartments are in a very quiet residential area of Melleiha yet are close to the bustling lively town. The owners ensure that everything is alright but are not intrusive. If you do require anything, they are more than happy to oblige, whether it be an extra pillow, help or information.

My only complaint this year were the mosquitoes, but the owners can't be held responsible for them!!!

This year we did the round the island day cruise which I'd highly recommend. We also managed to travel much further afield, to places such as Marscasala and Marsaxlokk which was superb.

Unfortunately, one or two of our favourite eating places had closed or reduced their opening hours.......the credit crunch has even reached Malta!

Other than that, I'd recommed any of these properties and Malta to anyone. You either love it or............................

Thanks again Mr & Mrs S for a terrific place to stay and thus, making our holiday so relaxing, peaceful & everything a great holiday should be.

Felt like home!

We always felt very welcomed during our stay and you can tell that the owner's are interested in you enjoying your time in Malta. I can only recommend this place and I would book it again.

Petite villa assez agréable

Nous avons passés 15 jours dans cette villa très bien située, l'extérieur est agréable et la petite piscine la bienvenue vue les températures parfois élevées, L''intérieur des logements est par contre très modeste, il manque un peu de vaisselle même si on n'est pas là pour faire beaucoup de cuisine. (la plupart des couverts sont manquants ou cassés) Il manque également une cafetière électrique. Dommage également que la climatisation soit en supplément. n'hésitez pas à demander le tarif avant de partir afin de l'intégrer à votre budget vacances.

Mellieha Village is an excellent place to stay for holidays in Malta, since it is located in the north of Malta, one can easily go to Gozo or Comino. Whilst towards the other side, one can visit St.Julians and Sliema for further nightlife and entertainment. Crossing over from Mellieha to Gozo is easy and would just require a 5 to 10 minute drive to the Gozo Channel car ferry terminal. From Mellieha to St.Julians would take approx 30 minutes drive and buses are also available frequently during the day till late (in the summer months) . The north of Malta is also ideal due to being relatively closer to larger sandy beaches, apart from its own beach in Mellieha Bay. Nearby beaches are Golden Bay and Ghajn tuffieha which are also popular beautiful beaches.

The Village feast of Mellieha is on the 8th of September, that reminds the locals and tourists of some of the most important historic events from the glorious history of Malta
