Located in beautiful Angel Fire, NM, the house called, 'Cougar's Den' is ideal for a family. The kitchen, dining, and living area are in one big room, so that nobody is left out. The house is approx. 2,000 sq. ft spread among 3 floors, so everyone has their own space. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and surrounded by the Greenbelt, but close to town. Frisbees, Bocci, Croquet, and Horseshoes are just a few lawn games that are available in the garage.The floor plan includes: 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and 2 car garage. Top Floor- King, bath, private balcony, and loft with sofa. Middle Floor-Queen bed, bunk beds/kids room-which share a bath on this level. Also-a kitchen, washer/dryer, living area, and open deck. Bottom Floor-Full and Twin beds, ½ bath, and this floor opens up to a covered porch. Free local calls, DirecTV. No Pets! No Smoking & no internet available.
No fires! No acceptions! The FD will issue a ticket if you're in violation. 4-wheelers are to be ridden on designated roads and you'll need to check with the PD or FD for those locations.

Purchased the property in 2009 from the Mountain Manager. This is our 2nd home and we love it. Cool and crisp days and stars at night, wildlife everywhere, great views throughout the village! We take great pride in our property and hope that you will enjoy your stay at Cougar Den. The name has come from The Canyon Cougars and their athletic facility. Perfect! It's at the end of a Cul-de-Sac, on an elk Super highway, Greenbelt, friendly neighbors, and close to town, but tucked away. Quiet and lots of stars at night! No outdoor burning or fires! Greenbelts have restrictions on 4-wheelers. Check with the FD for roads for 4-wheelers to be used on.
Cool, quiet, near golf course and pool, loaded kitchen, open floor plan so nobody is left out, but divided into 3 floors to give everyone space. No fires!
Probably one of the coziest cabins I have been to, located near angelfire park. Just go and relax you will not be disappointed.
Great location backing up to a beautiful green belt. If you get up early your sure to see deer and elk right out the cabin front yard! The location is perfect to visit surrounding towns. We loved the biking trails and zip line at Angel Fire Resort. The cabin was very clean and just amazing! I would recommend this for anyone looking to relax and take in some beautiful sights.
My husband found this home on VRBO and it was the perfect fit for our family. We have two boys 12 & 9 and the location was awesome for them. We were able to walk trails, climb rocks, play in the open green belt, swing on a rope swing, cook smores and more. The home was clean and the neighbors were friendly. We felt right at home and very safe. We will certainly visit this location again.
This was a great vacation rental for us with 2 adult children. Very quiet and peaceful location. You can walk to the lake and there is a great hiking trail 1 mile away. The house was very clean. Plenty of linens were provided and the kitchen had everything you need to cook. The upstairs master was a little warm (no AC), but the breeze with the windows open on the main floor was very nice. The living room really seats 3, but we squeezed. We loved the deck and fire pit. We lost the key on a horseback ride and Jodi was quick to help us out. Thanks for a great stay, we will recommend it to friends.
Had 4 couples and 4 kids, room set up perfect! Hot water in all showers was never a problem even with washer and diahwasher going. We made 3 dinners and were lacking for nothing in terms of pots/pans and utensils. After some instructions all heaters worked perfect on all floors! Would strongly recommend and we will be back ourselves!
The home was perfect for 7 during a spring break ski vacation. The beds were comfy and the middle floor stayed comfortable the entire time. The wooden floors are beautiful! We had trouble with the heat since the temp had gotten so low several nights we were there. We had a baby with us and when we closed the door, the room would get very cold. There is not heat in each room, so the doors need to be left open during the day & night. The owner was able to find a room heater since the baby had the flu and we appreciate that she worked so fast to find one. One of the heaters down in the lowest floor had the pilot light go out and she was able to get someone to come the next day and relight it to get that heater going. The middle floor's hot water heater worked wonderful- plenty of hot water but the 3rd floor water heater did not work properly. So we all ended up taking turns on the middle floor. The cleaning crew does a poor job. There were cobwebs on all floors and the bottom floor had leaves, dirt and wrappers under my bed. The toilets were not cleaned from the previous renters. The kitchen is full of pots, pans, utensils and dishes. Very nice!! There are 4 seats for the bar and a larger table with 4 chairs. The house is spacious and with some cleaning & the upper hot water heater repair the house would be amazing. The owner was very nice and answered all of my questions- I had several. I would post more pictures of each room because we were really unsure as to what the home had inside. Yes, I would recommed to a friend/family member and hopefully we will get to stay there again. I know it is very hard to find good help especially to clean but I would look for a new group to do the cleaning- Thanks for a wonderful time!!
Take 434 South, turn at Monte Verde Lake onto Via del Rey. Stay to the right at the Cimmaron/Via del Rey split. Take a right onto Pine Valley Dr. Turn right onto Coronado. Go all the way to the end of the cul-de-sac.
Other Activities: At house-Bocci, Horseshoes, Croquet, Frisbees, Kites, some basic fishing gear, and Walking Trails.

All fees and taxes are included in the quotes. At the time of your stay, please place all grease, peels, veggie/fruit cuttings into trash and not into sink, disposal, and septic system. Upon departure, strip beds and throw linens into tub. Load and turn on dishwasher. Absolutely, no pets or smoking allowed.
