Located in Canmore, at Canmore Crossing, 1120 Railway Ave., 5 minutes from the eastern gates to Banff National Park. Why stay in a small hotel room with no view or amenities, in a noisy area of town when you can have your own condo in a great central location for about the same price. Just minutes to most of what you likely want to do in Banff, Canmore and surrounding area.

We may also do exchanges at certain times of year - just send us an e-mail to inquire.

You can leave the condo and walk to many restaurants, pubs, shops, even Starbucks (to prove the unit is in the center of things) in less than five minutes.

Larry is a serial entrepreneur. Having spent much of the 90’s at Microsoft, since 2002 he has helped to create and run a number of Internet and high tech companies. Laurie is a visual merchandiser who travels across Canada for her work.

Both of us are avid travellers. We own 5 vacation rental properties with Laurie managing the bulk of our rentals. Together we’ve spent many months travelling the world (North America - 5 provinces, over 20 states) (World - 10 countries and numerous territories) not counting places we’ve been to individually. Our goal is to do a good job exploring this great world of our in the time we have here.

We are open to trading time at our properties during the off peak seasons. All our properties are fantastic to visit year around.

Why Laurie & Larry chose Alberta

We bought at Canmore Crossing, in Canmore, about 5 minutes outside the eastern gates to Banff National Park for the following reasons:

We have a fantastic mountain view

We love the town of Canmore. We like the fact that is isn't as touristy as the Town of Banff but still a great mountain town.

We like our central location between the new downtown core and the old quant downtown.

We love that once we are at our condo we can walk around the downtown core for shopping and restaurants.

Our location is nicely removed from the Trans Canada Highway and situated in such a way that we get very little traffic or train noise.

We decided to buy in Canmore Crossing because its location and amenities made it a special mountain getaway location.

Lovely condo with nice views from the living room windows.

We enjoyed this nice condo with easy access to walks and shopping in Canmore and only a short drive to Banff National Park. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises from the living room windows - fiery reds framing the Three Sisters - Faith, Hope and Charity.

Convenient, comfortable, reasonable

Stayed five nights from 8/9/16 to 8/14/16. The condo is extremely convenient to Banff National Park and a short walking distance to all you would need in Canmore. Everything worked from the codes to get into the garage, the elevator and the door to the condo itself. Communication with the owners was excellent. Condo was clean and as described in the material on the VRBO website. The price was very reasonable. On the downside is the one bathroom. We had 5 people and it was manageable but at times was a little crazy. Also could use some room darkening shades or window treatments in the first floor bedroom. Got quite bright very early in the morning. It can get warm in that bedroom so If you leave the window open in the evening you will hear the trains passing thru Canmore during the midnight to 6 am timeframe. The owners have provided a fan for the room to help with the heat. The fan could use some oil or WD40. All in all I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Canmore which is a great town. We enjoyed it more than the town of Banff itself. If we travel back to the Canadian Rockies I would stay here again.

The condo felt safe, clean and very comfortable.

We loved our five nights in Canmore. The condo was a perfect location to walk to town and the views were spectacular. I was very reluctant to stay in Canmore instead of Banff but so happy we did! Banff was a close visit but Canmore had a much nicer local vibe. We would definitely stay in your lovely home again, thank you!

We had a wonderful time staying at Laurie and Larry's condo in Canmore. The condo was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and had amazing views. Everything was as described in the property description. The kitchen was very well-equipped, which made cooking as easy as it is at home. The location was very convenient - the condo is only minutes from grocery stores, downtown Canmore, and Canmore's wonderful network of trails. We would love to stay again!

Car: recommended

Located in downtown Canmore with an easy walk to the old downtown main street and all of the shops and restaurants. Easily access Policeman's Creek walking trail and gain access to the other hiking trails in Canmore from there. Easy 5 minute drive in to Banff National Park or Kananaskis Country (Canmore Nordic Centre and about 15 minutes to Spray Valley Provincial Park). Canmore is surrounded by National and provincial parks and our condo is in the centre of it all.
