Island architecture offers year round resort type lifestyle. A Guest House (3 bed/2 bath) with solar heated salt water swimming pool (separating it from the main house) can accommodate 6 guests comfortably. All rooms have decks with incredible views of the Bay and the Koolau Mountains. Situated on a knoll overlooking the boat house and dock gives instant access to water activities such as fishing, kayaking, water skiing or just sitting by the edge of the grass to enjoy the sound of the water lapping at the shore. Reading a book in the gazebo under the shade of the coconut tree and cooled by the trade wind breezes offers quiet comfort. Myriad pictures for photographs from sunrise to sunset available to enhance your memories of a trip to Paradise. A spacious free-flowing living space that blurs the line between indoors and out.
Our suites are available for 2 to 6 persons. You do not have to take the entire 3+2. Please call for details.
We are surrounded by palm trees waving in the tradewind breezes, birds singing in the trees shading the property, many different hues of blue in the water and sky coloring the landscape. Each morning is a new canvas already painted for you to enjoy.
My husband and I are both from New York and met in Hawaii. We built the houses in 1972 and continue to add, improve and update on a regular basis. The guest house was originally for our 3 daughters and is now used by our visitors. The pool and deck separate the master house (where my husband and I live) from the guest house.
Gail Morris purchased this house in 1972
This property is at the end of a short dead end street on a knoll overlooking the bay. We have a 360 degree view from the water to the Ko'olau Mountains. We have lived on this property for over 40 years and have been sharing it with guests for more than 25. We love it, we love Hawaii and hope our guests discover what we have found, 'the secrets of Paradise...'
We are out of the hustle and bustle of city life but close enough to get everywhere on the island within minutes, from the North Shore to Diamond Head with Honolulu and Waikiki in between. It's easy to get to all those places but not having to deal with traffic and congestion every minute affords you quiet time to relax and really enjoy your vacation.
The house is unbelievably beautiful, comfortable and convenient. Excellent views of the bay. Atrium pool and lanai living room were perfect. The hosts are great people who provide their customers with privacy and all the needs for your stay. Very friendly. You won't want to leave once here. Thank you Red and Gail for your hospitality.
Our stay at the Morris' was a wonderful experience !
Our every need was supplied.... Gail was not home so daughter Malia was hostess and we loved her and her dad.... The ocean view is amazing ! You will not be disappointed !😊The friesens
This was perfect for our group of fisherman. We all got together each evening and sat around the pool and told stories about our day on the water. On two separate nights we decided to stay in and do our own cooking. One night we had steaks on the grill! Gail was the consummate host as she gave us the tour and explained how to use everything and then she had a way of being available if we needed her but we did not feel like she was looking over our shoulder. She lives in the connecting unit but we felt like we were by ourselves. Generally I am not a big fan of B & Bs because I feel like I am intruding in someones home. I did not feel this way at Gail's place. Gail gave us a recommendation for a restaurant and it far exceeded our hopes.I highly recommend this unit. Everything was perfection!!!We will return!!
Our family of six spent our first time away from home at Christmas time. We decided to spend it at Gail and Red's after seeing the pictures, and reading the reviews online. We were not disappointed! The house is even more spectacular than the pics. It was amazing to stand on the balcony and watch the beautifully colored fish swimming just below you. We enjoyed trying out all the different eating areas around the house, with the one off the master bedroom being my favorite for breakfast. Gail and Red were wonderful hosts, meeting us with a Lei greeting and giving us great advice as to what to see. We would love to see them again one day and stay in their piece of paradise.
Gail was a very gracious host. We loved the view and the dining area next to the pool. Kitchen was small but workable. It was nice to have beach equipment to use.
We had the best time!!! We showed up frazzled & tired, but Malia was so warm & welcoming, she had us smiling within minutes! =D We felt at home immediately! Malia & Kika were so gracious during our entire stay, both to us & to my mom & aunt. True island aloha, which was just what we needed.
My husband & I brought my mom & aunt here as her 70th birthday gift. (My mom lives in Honolulu, but loves the windward side) We thought we'd take advantage of all the amenities offered, like the kayak, swimming in the bay, etc. Instead we just sat & decompressed, looking out at the bay, swimming in the pool, doing a whole lot of nothin'... Malia was around if we needed anything, but we basically had the place to ourselves. Our stay here was definitely the highlight of our trip & we will come back next time we're on Oahu. I can't thank you guys enough for everything!!
We are on the east side of the island between windsurfing at Kailua and Lanikai beaches to the south and board surfing on the North Shore. We are 15 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Honolulu and 30 minutes to Waikiki. Visiting Pearl Harbor, attending a luau, seeing Sea Life Park, climbing Diamond Head, watching the big board surfers on the North Shore are among some of the 'must do's' while on Oahu.
Other Activities: Movies, shopping and dining at the Windward Mall, swimming at Kailua and Lanikai beaches, close to Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, Temple Valley Byodo-in, beautiful Haiku Gardens, Polynesian Cultural Center, Northshore beaches and surfing, Chinaman's Hat at Kualoa Beach Park, Waimea Bay and falls, Tropical flavored shave ice in Haleiwa, Turtle Bay Resort golfing, southside Sea Life Park, Makapuu and Sandy Beach, Hanauma Bay, Waikiki, Diamond Head, Zoo, Chinatown, Manoa Falls, Koolina Resort, Pearl Harbor, whale watching, picture taking,
