About the property

2 story licensed and approved B & B- 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6

Island architecture offers year round resort type lifestyle. A Guest House (3 bed/2 bath) with solar heated salt water swimming pool (separating it from the main house) can accommodate 6 guests comfortably. All rooms have decks with incredible views of the Bay and the Koolau Mountains. Situated on a knoll overlooking the boat house and dock gives instant access to water activities such as fishing, kayaking, water skiing or just sitting by the edge of the grass to enjoy the sound of the water lapping at the shore. Reading a book in the gazebo under the shade of the coconut tree and cooled by the trade wind breezes offers quiet comfort. Myriad pictures for photographs from sunrise to sunset available to enhance your memories of a trip to Paradise. A spacious free-flowing living space that blurs the line between indoors and out.

Our suites are available for 2 to 6 persons. You do not have to take the entire 3+2. Please call for details.

We are surrounded by palm trees waving in the tradewind breezes, birds singing in the trees shading the property, many different hues of blue in the water and sky coloring the landscape. Each morning is a new canvas already painted for you to enjoy.

About Gail Morris

My husband and I are both from New York and met in Hawaii. We built the houses in 1972 and continue to add, improve and update on a regular basis. The guest house was originally for our 3 daughters and is now used by our visitors. The pool and deck separate the master house (where my husband and I live) from the guest house.

Gail Morris purchased this house in 1972

Why Gail Morris chose Oahu

This property is at the end of a short dead end street on a knoll overlooking the bay. We have a 360 degree view from the water to the Ko'olau Mountains. We have lived on this property for over 44 years and have been sharing it with guests for more than 25 years. We love it, we love Hawaii and hope our guests discover what we have found, 'the secrets of Paradise...' !

What makes this house unique

We are out of the hustle and bustle of city life but close enough to get everywhere on the island within minutes, from the North Shore to Diamond Head with Honolulu and Waikiki in between. It's easy to get to all those places but not having to deal with traffic and congestion every minute affords you quiet time to relax and really enjoy your vacation.

A stay like no other

  • 5 of 5

It's very hard to find a place to stay for 5 people. You either have to get 2 hotel rooms and pay a fortune, or get lucky with what's on offer. We got lucky.

From the pictures, it's obvious that this condo is unique. With a living room, sitting room, dining room right on the bay, offering a 180 degree view of the ocean, and three lovely bedrooms, each with a balcony and even more of a view, this was an exceptional space. The private pool is crystal clear and heated with plenty of room to just sit, wade, or dive deep.

This was our first time staying on the east side of Oahu, only a 20-25 minute drive to Honolulu, through the most majestic mountains and rain forest (just like Kauai!). I've never enjoyed driving on a highway more. Very close to Kailua town, we could choose whether to eat in or go out. We also went to the Polynesian Cultural Center's luau for the first time since it was closer to us, and had a wonderful day, plenty of activities for our 2 kids, and lots of excitement for us all.

Most of all, the owners of the condo, Gayle and Red, are exceptional hosts and very nice people. They live on the other side of the condo and were there to answer any questions, but were never intrusive. We thank them for a wonderful week.

Beautiful property with a relaxed setting and views to enjoy

  • 4 of 5

Checked in on Sunday, met with Gail, (very pleasant ) she showed us the space we'd be staying in, full of things to accommodate our stay but, I couldn't wait to get in the pool! Lol

The only minor hiccup was we didn't have hot water till Tuesday, Gail had forgotten to turn on the hot water heater but I didn't say anything until Tuesday so partially my fault, so that was easily rectified. Our overall stay was very enjoyable and relaxing just what the doctor ordered!

Relaxation on the bay

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for our group of five, just enough space to spread out and enjoy some privacy, but not too big. The beds were comfortable and the pool was an added bonus. The bay-front location provided the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

Our hosts, Gail and Red, couldn't have been nicer. They were gracious and helpful without ever being intrusive.

The location is great for touring Ohau. It's a five-minute drive to the Kamehameha Highway, which we took to visit the surf beaches of the North Shore.

We loved Kailua beach which has been described as one of the finest

beaches in the US. It' about a a 15-minute drive from the house. Kailua town, with its indie shops and galleries, is worth a visit too.

Would we rent this house again? Absolutely! Thanks Gail and Red.

A wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Our 6 night stay was fabulous in July. Gail was there for any need we might have. Four adults and two kids 9 and 12 were very comfortable with the layout of the place. We loved lounging on the covered deck or dining while the kids swam. The view of the bay was picture perfect. Location worked wonderful since it was not to far from Honolulu which was way too crazy and busy for us but close to beaches and other wonderful north shore activities. The lush green of the area was beautiful. Our only challenge was parking and getting in and out with the large SUV we had rented. We would certainly consider staying again if we visit Oahu.

Family of 5, Lovely place, had a great time

  • 5 of 5

We were in town for a wedding nearby. We were a family of 5 with a 4, 6, and 8 year old who spent the better part of 5 days in the pool. It's lovely. We ate breakfast, staring at the ocean, while keeping an eye on the kids in the pool, drove to the beach or for a hike, and then came back for lunch, staring at the ocean, while keeping an eye on the kids in the pool. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep. No air conditioning but didn't miss it in June with ceiling fans everywhere, and lovely breezes.

We are on the east side of the island between windsurfing at Kailua and Lanikai beaches to the south and board surfing on the North Shore. We are 15 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Honolulu and 30 minutes to Waikiki. Hiking Diamond Head, shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Center, visiting the Zoo, or night clubbing at the hotels are all within an easy reach and give a variety of things to do. Visiting Pearl Harbor, attending a luau, seeing Sea Life Park, climbing Diamond Head, watching the big board surfers on the North Shore are among some of the 'must do's' while on Oahu.

Other Activities: Movies, shopping and dining at the Windward Mall, swimming at Kailua and Lanikai beaches, close to Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, Temple Valley Byodo-in, beautiful Haiku Gardens, Polynesian Cultural Center, Northshore beaches and surfing, Chinaman's Hat at Kualoa Beach Park, Waimea Bay and falls, Tropical flavored shave ice in Haleiwa, Turtle Bay Resort golfing, southside Sea Life Park, Makapuu and Sandy Beach, Hanauma Bay, Waikiki, Diamond Head, Zoo, Chinatown, Manoa Falls, Koolina Resort, Pearl Harbor, whale watching, picture taking,

Golf: Many courses available both public and private. Closest are Bayview, Pali and Koolau about 2-4 miles.
