Great town home close to the beach and town

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful getaway! My husband and I stayed for a long weekend in this lovely comfy townhome. It had everything we needed. Kitchen was well supplied. Furniture, just like home. Nice and quiet. Walking distance from the beach and town. Thank you so much Jerri it was so nice of you to share your home with us!

Great house in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The location was great for kids, because the whole street seemed to be filled with families with kids, instant friends at the beach and pool. The house was clean, small and basic, as described in some of the other reviews. Easy walk/bike to beach or town.

Cute place right near the beach

  • 5 of 5

We rented this condo for my sons and their wives for a family vacation and they loved it. Clean and easy to downtown, beach and pool.

Owner was great to deal with and very quick to reply to any questions. Never an issue but I feel that if there was it would have been resolved quickly.

I wish the pool area had lounge chairs instead of wooden benches. Seems a pain to carry your own chairs to pool each day. Also, think linen service should be included in price but other than that this place was perfect, extremely clean and well maintained

Very nice condo, great location, close to beach, pool and town

  • 5 of 5

Overall very satisfied, everything works, clean, quiet complex. One suggestion, the beds need to be larger in the second bedroom.

Owner's Response: Thanks Tom for taking the time to write a review. We will be going down in August and will check the beds in the the second bedroom to see if the room will support queen beds. Thanks again.

Great for our Family and Yours ! ! !

  • 5 of 5

This was our second year at Jerry’s Windspinner condo. Last year we rented the week before July 4th and it was very quiet. This year, we reluctantly took the week of the 4th – afraid it would be very busy. We were once again surprised by how quiet the development was even during a peak vacation week.

About the Owner : Jerry and his wife Julia are a pleasure to deal with. They make sure that everything is right. My wife left a drawer-full of clothing in the master bedroom when packing to leave. Julia made arrangements with the cleaning crew and realty company to meet with the new renters so they could pick up the clothing. They then arranged to have the clothes shipped back to our home.

About the Unit - The accommodations are always clean and feel like home – not pretentious and something you are afraid to touch. The kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher) were all replaced since last summer (July 2016). The front and back decks were also stained. The ground level has a utility room with convenient access to the washer and dryer right next to the car port. The unit shares are charcoal grill with the other 5 units in the cluster. There is clothesline adjacent to the car port for hanging wet clothes and a shower stall to rinse off the beach sand. After a quick 5 min walk from the front door, your toes are in the sand!

About the Development - Georgetown Sands is a dead-end road off Duck Road (the main drag North and South). The development is comprised of 8 condo clusters – each with 6 units. Jerry’s unit is in cluster that is 4th from the beach. The development has 2 well maintained concrete tennis courts. There is a unique L-Shaped pool for exclusive access to Georgetown Sands guests. The pool has a large 3 foot deep shallow end for the kiddies (bottom tip of the “L”). The long, tall end of the “L” is 4-5 feet deep and is appropriate for lap swimming. The road terminates with a private boardwalk that leads you to the beach.

The town of Duck is a short 15-minute walk on a paved walking/bike trail – appropriate for all including families with strollers. If you can be there the week of July 4th, you will be treated to a town that is serious about supporting its nation’s birthday. The parade is a must see. Make sure you kids have bags for all the candy.

If this is your first time to Duck, plan a bathroom break before heading north to Duck (North Carolina Highway 12) and your rental. Traffic on Saturdays is crazy.

Great Owner - Great Place - Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

Jerry made things very easy. He answered any questions I had very quickly.

The house comes with pretty much everything you need. AC worked great. Bed was comfy. TVs worked well. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Duck.

The house is a 15-20 minute walk or a 5 minute (if that) bike ride away from downtown Duck. There's a bike path the majority of the way into town. If you're feeling lazy, you can call an Uber and get downtown for about $5.
