A perfect spot to get together for that yearly family vacation. A great spot to bring friends together to catch up and spend time getting away from it all. Sit out on the deck enjoying Montana's long beautiful summer evenings. Stay warm around the gas fire pit and listen to the music of the owls while counting the millions of stars that light the night sky.
The beautiful city of Missoula is just 7 miles away. Don't miss the famous Saturday Farmers Market where the whole city turns out to enjoy the fresh flowers, produce, street music, and hand made items too numerous to mention. Missoula has a number of excellent restaurants to enjoy, or just plan on staying in and barbequing on the back deck with the gas or charcoal grill provided.
Canyon River Golf Course, less than five minutes from the house, was rated in the top five US new public courses in 2007. Five mile walking trail right down the drive.
This is a non-smoking rental.
We decided last minute to make a trip down from Calgary to whisk gramma out of the senior living center away for a quiet and peaceful weekend. Although it did rain most of the time we were there, it was still a beautiful view. Grandma has a hard time getting around and needs her walker, but access to the house and inside the home was well appointed and wonderful, making it nearly effortless to come and go. We enjoyed incredible cookies, had fur visitors that are sweet. Will look forward to future visits! Thank you Marta for making a beautiful home and sharing your wonderful piece of Montana heaven~

Our family of 7 celebrated Thanksgiving "week" at the river house and it was wonderful. The lay out is perfect. Although it advertises 3 bedrooms, there are really 4 with a gigantic "bunk room" complete with 2 double beds and toys galore! Our 2 year old grandson was besides himself with "kid's kitchen"! House was spotless, kitchen very well appointed, and beds extremely comfortable. Location was perfect, close to Missoula (and airport) but not too close. The fire pit was so much fun, and there were TONS of quilts to stay cozy by on some pretty chilly nights. Lastly, the ginger cookies are not to be believed! Thank you Marta and Todd... we will be back!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay along the Clark Fork River. Just minutes from downtown Missoula you really couldn't beat the atmosphere and quaintness of the river house. The owners were incredibly nice and we even had a wonderful plate of molasses cookies waiting for us upon check-in. The owners were also very flexible with check in times which helped us out greatly. I highly recommend this location.
We have stayed at the River House now several times and continue to enjoy the property. The house and grounds are so perfect for us, our friends and family, including our 2 labs. Todd and Marta could not be more accommodating.
We feel so at home when we are there and are always anxious to plan our next visit.
This secluded Clark Fork River house was exactly what we were looking for, and more. Our host made the stay even better. She is so friendly, and genuinely cared that we had what we needed and wanted. There were homemade ginger cookies waiting for us when we arrived, and later during our stay, she brought us some fresh peaches from the farmer's market. The house is so comfortable, peaceful and nicely furnished. We walked to the river down the path from the house every day, and fished or just enjoyed the natural beauty and wildlife. We also enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the peace and quiet. The location is great for going to town or finding great fly fishing spots. We highly recommend this spot.
This home has the benefits of a quiet Montana experience, within reach of the urban life of Missoula. River access, outdoor fires, flexible sleeping arrangements. I cannot think of a better place to call home base while in the Missoula area.
The surroundings are absolutely perfect. I'd say go for it if you are looking for a good spot.
