Beautiful Mountain top Home

  • 5 of 5

A group of us from work stayed here while riding motorcycles in the Little Switzerland area. It provided the perfect place for us all to stay and rest up. There was plenty of beds and it was very quite and relaxing so we could wind down and rest up after a long hard day of riding. The best part was all of us sitting around the fire at the end of day trading stories. Everything was provided for us and the owners were very friendly and helpful. I would love bring my family back here and enjoy this beautiful home.

Had so a wonderful time and stay.

The fact that im even taking time to review a property should speak for itself. When we got to the cabin everything was exactly like the pictures described. The cabin was gorgeous. It was very clean and comfortable and made our stay enjoyable. I loved the fact that the property itself was gated as well as the community that the property resided in. The cabin had everything available, the rooms were nicely kept and the bathrooms were gorgeous. The balcony from the master bedroom had an amazing view. This cabin I would say is perfect for families with kids, not so much couples retreat. I plan to come back in the fall when the leaves change and would definately stay here again.

A Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable. Isolated and private, but easy access to Black Mountain and Asheville. We loved the spacious, open design of the cabin. An excellent and relaxing experience.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Vacationing with two young children is no easy task but staying at the Thomas Cabin made it so much easier to manage. We spent the week of Thanksgiving at the cabin. After a long drive from Florida we were able to rest comfortably by the fire. Each day brought a new adventure but by nightfall we were able to return to the cabin and relax. With all the comforts of home our family was able to truly relax and enjoy ourselves. We had a wonderful vacation and made so many amazing memories. Thank you for making this cabin available and all your help- 5 stars for sure!!!

Great Cabin, Beautiful Scenery

  • 4 of 5

We rented the cabin for a week of bicycling in the Asheville area. The cabin was clean, well appointed and very attractive. There were plenty of towels, tableware, laundry detergent and the other consumables you would expect. The sunrise view from the back porch and great room is nothing short of spectacular. The laundry facilities were excellent.

We only had two very minor complaints about the property. First the non-stick cookware was a bit worn and warped. That made it easy for food to stick and for the pans to develop hot spots and burn the food. This is a very minor complaint however and we were a group of athletes so we might have done more cooking in than most.

We also found a couple of light switches were simply mechanically worn out and did not work properly so you had to go into the great room for instance to turn on the kitchen lights because the 3-way switch in the kitchen wasn't working. This might have been a recent development since the cabin was otherwise very well maintained.

Overall this was a great rental property with just a couple of quirks. We're already contemplating a return trip.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the great feedback and I'm so glad you had a nice time. Please come back anytime. The cycling is great. Thanks for the heads' up regarding the cookware. We will replace the worn pans asap. Agree, the kitchen lights seen a bit quirky. They actually are controlled by two separate wall switches and one sort of "overrides" the other one, at times. The electrical circuitry and switches are safe and functioning as intended. Lori
