This Two-story Hawaiiana beach cottage is just perfect for a small family.

Two bedrooms and two full baths downstairs.

King bed in the Master, with Tiled Bath/Stall-shower. Private furnished lanai.

Kids room with two twins(can be converted to a king bed) Second Bath w/ Stall-shower and the Laundry on the main floor.

Upstairs, Livingroom with two Punee's (one Double-bed & one Twin-bed).

Full kitchen w/dinning inside. A wrap-around deck & Furnished Lanai with two dinning areas. A Propane Barbecue & Weber Charcoal Barbecue on Lanai.

Hale Kilo I'a is owned by a local family and filled with Aloha, and art work by owner Tambi Larsen.

THE BEST EVER, SNORKELING BEACH, IS JUST STEPS FROM THE FRONT DOOR,and TIDEPOOLS ARE JUST GREAT FOR SMALL CHILDREN TO EXPLORE.

The large grassy lawn that leads to this beautiful white sandy beach is perfect for a game of croquet, badminton or volley ball.

Kick off your shoes and stroll along miles of white sand beaches, collecting seashells along the way. Stop and snorkel at little know beaches...And At Kee' Beach and Lagoon, swim with the turtles. Or hike the first two miles of the Napali trail to view some of Kauai's Majesty.

Wonderful Beach Access

This is an absolutely unbeatable location. The quiet North Shore lets you enjoy non-commercial Kauai. The house itself has a large manicured back yard, good for frisbee, football, or lawn darts. Then, you hit the sand of the beach. What a fantastic view and full beaches to choose right by the house or for short walks either way. A terrific surprise for us was the quality of the fish to see on the reef that is right by the house. No need to drive or hike to see many, many gorgeous fish. The wrap-around lanai on the house was perfect for breakfasts, mid-day relaxation, or peacefully waiting out a brief rainstorm.

Our family of six used all the beds in the house and found them to be comfortable and more that satisfactory. Having the two day beds in the living room does mean there is no couch, but you should be out at the beach anyway!

The only drawback of our stay was when the washing machine went out. The appliances throughout the house are a bit older, but all else worked fine throughout the stay.

Highly recommended, mostly for the comfort and quiet of the house and the absolutely magnificent location.

Truly magnificent property - exactly what we were looking for!

Where do I start? This house is just as advertised...but better! The location is outstanding....we enjoyed almost every meal outside on the lanai and spent a lot of time relaxing on the lanai and watching the waves and palm trees. Almost every room in the house has jalousie windows and oscillating or ceiling fans so the air flow throughout the house keeps things very comfortable. This is a true family cabin....not fancy but cozy and oozing with charm. The appliances in the kitchen are older but they worked fine. There is a public beach access along the property line but a thick hedge shields the house from the very few people who walked to and from the beach. The other side of the property is similarly thickly hedged. Although there is large house behind the property, it doesn't really create any privacy issues since all the Hale Kilo I'a rooms are oriented toward the beach and there was a tall hedge shielding Hale Kilo I'a from the house behind. The beach is beautiful and walkable. It is close to several fantastic swimming and snorkeling locations, although the waves and currents can be pretty strong on the north end of the island during the winter, so we found that the south end beaches were a bit more conducive to swimming and snorkeling while we were there. The house had puzzles, movies, games (indoor and out), beach equipment, and lots more to help you take maximum advantage of the location. The house felt very secure. There were dead bolts on the doors and an additional secure location inside for valuables. The master bedroom was very comfortable and the linens were of high quality. The cell service and the password-protected wi-fi worked perfectly, as did the electronic equipment in the house. The only sounds we heard most of the time were the trees and the waves....it was perfect. The property is located at the north end of the island, so it is at least 2 hrs drive around to Polihale State Park or Waimea Canyon. We explored the entire island pretty thoroughly during our stay. We particularly enjoyed the drive up to and beyond Waimea Canyon State Park, Kipu Ranch (ATV adventure), snorkeling at Poipu Beach Park, exploring Anini Beach and Polihale State Park, Grove Farm Museum in Lihue, Kilauea Lighthouse, Limahuli Gardens, Spouting Horn, etc. We had a helicopter tour scheduled for our last day but it was unfortunately cancelled due to wind, so that is on the top of our list for our next trip to Kauai. We would stay at this house again in a heartbeat!
