The pictures don't really do justice to the feel and beauty of this place! It is situated at the bottom of a hill snuggled away on about 3-4 acres of beautiful palm trees and other types of jungle vegetation. When you stay here, you feel very secluded, yet it is very close to the beaches of Rincon and places to eat. If you are looking for a relaxed, homely, clean place with everything you could possibly need during your stay, this is it. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!
We rented both of the units offered for our vacation of five persons (2 adults, 3 kids- 2 are teens). We put our teens in the smaller room and they loved having their own "apartment", the youngest was jealous!
On arrival, Clemente was cleaning the spotless pool area and apologetic about still needing to do a few things...that we couldn't tell needed done :)
He has very high standards about how his home is kept and presented and it definitely shows. Clemente gave us a quick tour of the house and apartment; demonstrated the lights, TV, air and then told us to get situated and he'd meet us at the pool for "orientation". We thought that was a little silly for a minute but we're super grateful he does this! He provides a map to the area and marks where the local grocery stores are, the tourist traps and better restaurants, the surf beach vs swim beach, and recommends a few places and who to ask for there. His recommendations are spot on.
Clemente suggested we see the Rincon lighthouse, steps beach and the best place for pinchos plus a bunch of other stuff. We tried to do it all. He warned us about a "cold front/storm" expected and told us to hit the beach this morning not that day. We got a little late start and received a sand blasting before we were ready to leave. But that's ok, home for a rinse and into the pool!
The home has everything you need. We cooked complete meals and used the charcoal grill to save on expenses. But we did eat out twice. Once at the Mi Familia (Lazy Parrot) Pizza, ample parking, good food and atmosphere ...tourist trap we were told by Clemente. (The price was a little high but we expected that. I needed to use the restroom and we had an hour to kill before we could check in!). The other was at a place Clemente suggested for the best $2 pinchos... You'll have to ask as I've forgotten the name. Very inexpensive for what we received and so, so delicious!
The home had wifi (signal is best in the living room) so I was able to work on the weddings I had to coordinate as soon as we got home. Tvs had satellite TV... We don't have this at home! Every night we'd have family dinner and a movie.
Every bed was comfy, towels a plenty. Pantry items and toiletries as well.
Our kids loved exploring the property and playing with Gidgi, a super sweet dog.
Clemente offered for us to use his shop vac do we could clean out the sand from our rental car. this is a wonderful home and Clemente is a fabulous host. Best family trip ever, ever.
I'm not sure where to start. We were booked at another location, but the home had some unforeseen issues that would prohibit our stay. The owner herself had stayed at Traveling Palm Villas, so she made the accommodations with Clemente the owner of Traveling Palm Villas. We weren't sure where we were going. I'm a true believer of "things happen for a reason". When we arrived, we were greeted by Clemente and Gigi (his 8 yr old dog). He has a map on hand to show you all the local restaurants for the best tacos, empanadas, BBQ (yes, BBQ), mofongo, seafood, etc... Everyone knows Clemente, so you are welcome to throw his name around when you arrive anywhere.
With the rental, you are welcome to use the snorkeling gear and also help yourself to the fresh fruit he has growing on his property. The pool is relaxing after a day of sightseeing and always clean. Clemente take great pride in his property and that is very important.
The apartment is spacious and easy to keep up with. It feels like you are on vacation, but comfortable enough that it feels like home. I can't wait to return to this piece of paradise soon!
We were lucky enough to snatch both units in April and my family of five people couldn't have hoped for a more comfortable rental! Clemente kindly throws in beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear and boogie boards =)) also, he has a great selection of surf and SUP boards available for rent. The property was gorgeous and expansive with abundant avocado and starfruit trees. Upon arrival, I felt that the photos didn't quite deliver the kind of visual justice this beautiful place deserves. We'll definitely come back and highly recommend!
Just rented this place at the beginning of September. It was amazing! My kiddos, hubby and I were very impressed. Clemente really gives his guest a five star quality environment. I loved the pool, living room and awesome kitchen. It was super clean and organized. My kids picked avocados and fruit off the trees and Clemente often left us some cool stuff as well. He is great with letting you know the places to stop by in the area. I can't thank him enough for this amazing experience. It was definitely a Home away from Home. I would love to return soon. Thanks Clemente!!!
