Albatross Nest epitomizes Caribbean style living with truly breath taking 180-degree views from the property's open and elevated terraces. Enjoy magical sunset drinks with views of the island of Martinique in one direction and Pigeon Island National Park and Rodney Bay in the other.
Albatross Nest is our dream home - perfect views, distinctive open plan architecture, traditional Caribbean shingled buildings and beautiful tropical garden. Enjoy classic barefoot charm and listen to the sounds of nature and the sea below.
The property is secluded and provides perfect privacy - it is only ever rented to a single party/group. Its layout means that it is equally suited to 2 guests as much as it is for larger groups of up to 8 guests.
The villa was designed by architect, Robertson Ward, who designed the original Sandy Lane hotel in Barbados. Three buildings are linked by covered walkways around the large central pool. The design is perfect for a tropical, outdoor lifestyle and the central pool area spanned by an attractive bridge creates a romantic environment.
Albatross Nest is located in the North West corner of the Cap Estate which is generally regarded as the premier residential area of St. Lucia.
The property is a very short drive to Pigeon Island beach, Anse Du Cap beach and Cas en Bas beach. The 18 hole golf course at the St. Lucia Golf and Country Club, snorkeling, scuba diving, kitesurfing, horse riding on the beach, tennis club and an award winning spa, as well as many of the island's best restaurants are all within a ten minute drive.
Maid service is provided 5 days a week. The gardener is at the property 2 days a week. The property has a security system.
The property is managed by Kris Wagner who will welcome you to the property and advise on any aspects of your vacation. Kris is on call 7 days a week to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday in St. Lucia.
A pre-stocking service is available so that when you arrive at the villa you do not immediately have to go shopping - you can immediately relax, unwind and enjoy the view.

The property belongs to an English couple who have been visiting St Lucia for the past 15 years. We fell in love with the island and after a very long search we finally found our dream home which we purchased in December 2009. We look forward to being able to spend much more time in our beautiful home in St. Lucia when we retire but in the meantime we are making it available for holiday rentals when we are not there .
Kris purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Kris chose Saline Point
We have visited St. Lucia for many years and love the island. We fell in love with the stunning view, the lovely garden and the architecture of this property. We enjoy the variety of restaurants and beaches easily accessible from the property.
What makes this Villa unique
The property has one of the best sea views we have seen on the island. The sunset views are amazing. The property provides a restful, private location but good restaurants and a variety of activities are available within a ten minute drive.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the gorgeous Albatross Nest for a week in March. It is a truly spectacular location. It's true what others say, that the pictures can't really do justice to the awe inspiring view. We enjoyed just sitting and watching the ever changing view of the sea and majestic scenery all around. The open air living is a wonderful experience and it's easy to while away the days doing very little! The pool is gorgeous too and furniture around the pool really comfortable. But the best thing is just sitting on the veranda listening to the sound of the sea below. St Lucia is a beautiful island. We also loved the bedroom and the bed was unbelievably comfy and very large! We slept so well the whole time. The villa has a wonderful traditional Caribbean feel and that is very much it's charm. However air con in the bedroom and all mod cons also worked very well. Kris is really great and will make sure everything is organised for you throughout your stay. We ordered food and drink for our arrival which meant we could just relax once we got there after a long flight. Ivy the housekeeper is so lovely. She knows exactly how to balance friendliness with also being discreet. Michael the gardener, Alison the pool man and Norbert the night watchman are all charming and lovely people and enhanced our enjoyment. We feel honoured to have stayed in such a special place. We had a week of sheer relaxation and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Albatross Nest. Julie and Kevin. Suffolk
We are thrilled that you loved the location of the villa and enjoyed spending time admiring the view, listening to the sea and being in the pool. It is pleasing that you liked the traditional Caribbean character of the property and good that you found the bed very comfortable - that is so important!! We are pleased that you appreciated all the staff - we are lucky to have a good team and will pass on your positive views to them.
Thank you for any recommendations you make of Albatross Nest. We hope that you return in the future - we always love to have returning guests.
No better sunsets anywhere in the Caribbean
The view from the 'Nest's' open-air living room sells this villa to all who stay here. I've watched for the 'green flash' just before sunset for many years but never saw it until my last night at Albatross Nest. Even then, I thought I might be imagining it, but my wife, daughter and son-in-law saw it as well. Kris manages the property (1 of 10) and is most helpful. Driving (on the left) can prove a bit stressful if you've not done it. I suggest a driver to pick you up at the airport (south end of the island) and drive you north (1.5 hrs) to the villa on the north end so you can make up your mind about driving during the ride. No super highways here, just a couple of main two-lane roads that you should stay on. Same goes for the drive back to the airport. Give yourself 2.5 hours to get there and check in. The airport is small and always packed, especially on Saturdays. Never pay full price for anything from the beach vendors... about 50% should do it. St. Lucians are courteous, respectful people. Tips for good work/service are part of their salary so don't hesitate to do the right thing here. Beaches are nice...not Hawaii but nice. A nit: A back-up battery to open the villa's gate should be added. Otherwise, you can't get a car in/out. BUT after your first sunset you won't be keen on leaving anyway.
The sunsets are always a highlight but not everybody is lucky enough to see the "green flash".
We agree that it is a good idea to get a taxi from the airport to take any stress out of driving on the left if you are not used to it or after a long flight. A hire car can be delivered to the villa. We usually get the villa pre-stocked with food and drink to enjoy a relaxing first night at the house and get the car delivered the next day.
There is an override key that opens the gate manually so nobody should get their car stuck in/out. We are pleased that you found Kris, the manager most helpful and she is available at all times to help.
A beautiful villa with an amazing view that was the setting for a 50th wedding aniversay.
We spent a week at the Villa from March 10th to the 17th with 8 people for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We have stayed in Villas in many different places all over the world and the Albatross Nest has one of the best views, especially while relaxing in the pool looking over the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic. You can stare at that view for hours and never get board. There was plenty of room to spend time together yet also be separate. The Villa is located in one of the most beautiful points on the Island. We absolutely loved the open concept living and the house is even more beautiful than the pictures. We must have taken 100's of photos from the living room especially at sunset. Kris and the entire Villa management staff did an outstanding job making this trip very memorable. We can't thank her enough for her hospitality and professionalism. From the first contact with Kris via email we felt at ease that she has a handle on everything. She not only arranged the transfers from the Airport, she pre stocked the house with basic groceries, she arranged the rental cars to be at the house when we arrived, she gave us great advice on places to see and things to do, recommended great restaurants and dealt with any issues that arose. Definitely have her arrange the transport from the airport and request Donald. He was awesome and even though we had rental cars we utilized him to get our large group to dinner and on sightseeing tours. Ivy the housekeeper will now be a lifelong friend. She was so friendly and helpful. Overall I cant say enough about the Villa and the people we encountered during our trip. The location was great and a short distance to Rodney Bay and shopping. Our favorite beach was 5 minutes drive down the road inside the Pigeon Island Heritage site. We highly recommend the Villa Albatross Nest for an amazing experience and we promise you will never forget that view. Kris and her staff truly make you feel at home while on vacation on a beautiful island. We cant wait to go back.

Thank you for your wonderful review and we are thrilled that your party of eight enjoyed the property, the views and location. We are lucky to have a strong team at the property.
We agree that it is a really good idea to make arrival more relaxing by getting a taxi from the airport and to have the villa pre-stocked with things for the day of arrival and the hire car delivered to the house for the next day. Kris will organise this option for all guests who stay at the property.
We look forward to welcoming you back.
Beautiful location and helpful friendly staff.
The views are spectacular. Put a rum punch in your hand and watch the sunset from verandah, pool, or living room. Have a second as you watch the lights come on in Rodney bay spread out below you to the south. On a clear night look north for the lights to come on on Martinique.
In the morning watch the sailboats parade below on their way to Martinique. The view of the ocean is never quite the same from hour to hour, and the birds are your constant companions. (Note, close the kitchen door when preparing food, or the birds will join you there as well).
The staff is friendly and helpful. Special kudos to Kris (the manager) and to indispensable Ivy (the housekeeper).
The road up to the house and the driveway are a bit challenging the first two times or so that you drive up, but by the third time you get the hang of it.
Loved every minute of our three weeks in Albatross Nest.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Albatross Nest and the changing view of the ocean at different times of day. It is indeed a joy to drink a rum punch on the verandah as the sun sets and to watch the lights begin to twinkle in the distance.
We are so glad that you found the staff friendly and helpful and we really appreciate you taking the time to write a review.
This place is truly a hidden piece of paradise that leaves you feeling like it is all yours.
The property was clean, gorgeously designed to allow you to feel the warm touch of the island and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It’s nicely located within walking distance to 2 beaches and a short drive into Gros Islet. You also feel safe and taken care of with nighttime security and a daytime housekeeper during the week. If the private pool and beautiful scenery don’t sell you on this place then Kris, one of the property managers sure will! She was a gem to work with in preparing for our vacation and provided an endless amount of knowledge about the island. All of her recommendations were perfect and we owe one amazing evening filled with delicious lobster, St. Lucian culture and lots of dancing to her advice!! Our party of 8 truly had a memorable and special vacation. We would all go back to the Albatross Nest in a heartbeat. Stay here...you won’t be sorry!!
We are really thrilled that you enjoyed your stay so much. It is great that you found everything you needed at the villa and enjoyed your time at the house and on the island. Kris always works hard to make guests' vacations a success and she will be really pleased that your group enjoyed her suggestions.
We hope that you return and look forward to welcoming you back.
The only place to stay in St. Lucia!
I was lucky enough to spend two weeks at Albatross Nest in January, and have already booked my return.
Whilst the photos give a glimpse of the stunning view surrounding the villa, it is difficult to describe just how beautiful it actually is. Perched atop Cap Estate, you can expect to spend the majority of your time here gazing out at the various shades of blue.
The property itself leaves nothing to be desired, and is beautifully appointed. Every effort has been made to ensure that you can relax in total comfort and luxury away from home, whilst the villa has also managed to retain a sense of Caribbean charm.
Ivy, the maid, and Michael, the gardener, were both absolutely charming, and looked after us so well; helping to recommend the must see sights and best restaurants to visit during our stay.
Staying at Albatross Nest is like spending a few weeks in paradise, and I cannot wait to return.
We are so thrilled that you enjoyed your stay at Albatross Nest so much that you have already booked your return!
Your appreciation of the staff is much appeciated and will be passed on to them.
Thank you for your great review of the property. The team looks forward to welcoming you back.
We recommend that you hire a 4x4 car to make the most of your stay. Beaches, restaurants, golf course, tennis courts and Pigeon Island are all within 15 minutes. We highly recommend a trip into the rainforest and zip-lining for the more adventurous or a tram ride into the forest if the zip-lining does not appeal. A boat trip is the perfect way to see the island and it is possible to join others on a large boat or to hire something smaller. Boats trips leave from Rodney Bay Marina which is within 15 minutes. Trips vary in length and cost but we enjoy going down the west coast to The Pitons stopping off at Marigot Bay and snorkelling from the boat at various bays along the coast. Nearer home on those days when you want to do more than relax by the pool we recommend a trip to Pigeon island, to look around and investigate the history, relax on the beach and perhaps to eat at the restaurant there. A range of watersports are available on nearby beaches including kitesurfing with excellent tuition. Kris Wagner, the villa manager is able to help with sightseeing arrangements.
