Fantastic location in the heart of SoHo less than one block to the A,C,E subway station at Spring and short walk to the 6. A few short stops to World Trade Ctr site, Battery Park, harbor, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty cruises. Easy access to theater district, Central Park, restaurants, clubs, fun! Walk to the Village, Tribecca, photo district. It is all within a short walk or subway ride. Closest airport is Newark but Kennedy and La Guardia are not much further. On a tight budget? Take the A from Kennedy!
One 'heads-up': I would feel terrible if I did not mention that, because the apartment is in a great location, above restaurants, it can be noisy in the living room. The bedroom is pretty quiet but, especially if you are not from a big, loud city, be prepared that it can be noisy. It is not horrible but, it is NEW YORK CITY. If you or a colleague is planning to sleep on the fold out sofa, bring earplugs or sleep with an iPod. I sleep out there fine without either but, I must say, I sleep BETTER with earplugs! Really, I hope this does not scare you off but, I want to be honest!
Fabulous location, great customer service from the team and owner. Great price, free wifi and Netflix. Close to transport, fantastic restaurants. Amazing NYC experience. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Neighborhood safe and just all around wonderful. Have already recommended this place to friends. Will definitely stay there again.
We absolutely loved the location. The place was very comfortable and felt like a true NY experience. The neighborhood was awesome and transportation is very close by. I will definitely stay again. The owner and contacts are very responsive and helpful.
Just got back from NYC and had to say it was a wonderful experience. The apartment was clean as were the linens and towels. Not much in the way of cooking utensils but we planned on eating out anyway. The bedroom was quiet but the living area (where there is a futon) was noisy. So if there are three staying, make sure who ever sleeps in the living room has ear plugs. You have to walk one flight up to get to the apartment - just FYI. It was not a problem for us. The apartment is in an old building so don't expect "new". The floors are sloped and uneven but that is part of the charm, in my opinion. The neighbor hood is great and there is a bakery with "world famous" cronuts two doors down. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
I showed this apartment listing to my wife and asked her if she would be willing to stay there for a week in September. She thought it looked cute and told me to book it. I truly believe staying in this apartment was what made our trip so wonderful. Apartment description is accurately depicted. What you see is what you get. Not huge, but clean, safe, quiet for NYC, and perfectly located for everything. After a couple days we felt very comfortable and quickly became familiar with the neighbourhood. Subways are right there, (very efficient and easy to figure out) and there are lots of sights within walking distance. Everything good about New York is down in these neighbourhoods. We found the locals to be friendly and helpful. Loved it!
Absolutely loved staying here! My son, who is a senior in high school, and I were in New York so that he could tour Columbia and Yale. We had done the Times Sauare/Midtown scene in past visits and vowed to stay somewhere with the locals this time around. The quirky, hip apartment did not disappoint! We will never stay anywhere but SoHo in the future, and this apartment was perfect for us.
The one and only thing I wish it had was a Keurig or Tassimo or some type of single serve coffe maker. But with coffee shops all around, that wasn't a big issue. Scott and his crew were awesome to work with. LOVE!
Great location. Also, great location. Near everything. Subway, bakery, pizza, etc etc half a block away. All the other positive reviews are right on the money. Would stay here again without hesitation.
SoHo is one of the older sections of Manhattan. Just a few subway stops from Wall Street, Battery Park (ferries to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island), and The World Trade Center site... The location is fantastic. Take the A,C, and E and get about anywhere (even Kennedy Airport if you are adventurous! (The A only stops at Spring late nights, otherwise you can transfer one stop north at West 4th and come south o the C or E) Note: Nights can be fun and loud.
