Look no further - this is truly in the heart of Dupont Circle and steps from the metro. Unlike other listings we are not in the outskirts or another neighborhood like Logan Circle or Adams Morgan and using the description of Dupont Circle. If you are unfamiliar with DC, Northwest DC (NW) is by far the safest quadrant and even within NW there are big differences. The same goes for Dupont Circle - the closer in you are to the center, the safer and better, which is why our location is unbeatable! You won’t find a city neighborhood as safe and nice as the heart of Dupont Circle, which is one of the reasons we’re sure you’ll be glad you selected our home! You'll feel relaxed and at home when you stay in our completely new Carriage House in the heart of Washington DC's safest and best neighborhood. Situated in a prime spot in Dupont Circle you will be just steps from the Metro, shops and restaurants. The carriage house is a stand-alone apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and hardwood floors throughout. Depending on your needs/availability, we can supply you with either a king and queen bed w/full sleeper sofa or a queen and 2 twin beds. It also has a fully equipped all new kitchen, washer/dryer, fireplace, 2 TVs, free wireless Internet and cable TV and opens to a private courtyard with patio furniture and charcoal grill. Note that the entrance to this apartment is up a flight of stairs that turn as you make your way to the entrance so if you would like to avoid stairs our other apartment at this location may work better for you.
From this house, you are just steps to the metro (five minute walk), restaurants, shops, etc. and short walk to DC attractions (Georgetown, White House, National Mall, museums, art galleries) and 2 blocks to DC tour bus stop.
Larger parties can be accommodated by reserving both properties at this location; please inquire.

I wanted you to know that my sister and enjoyed your rental. Everything worked well, and the location couldn't be any better. We loved the area and its proximity to what we wanted to see.
We especially appreciate your quick replies throughout the rental process. If any of our friends mention a trip to DC, we will certainly let them know about your place.
Have a great weekend.
My family of 5 adults spent 4 nights in unit B. Beautiful unit, the courtyard was an added bonus! Pull out sofa was surprisingly comfortable. GREAT location. Can't say enough good things about the experience. Jennifer was so helpful. The garage was awesome, couldn't imagine trying to park in the city!
We stayed in Apt B the Garden Apartment as well as parked our car in the garage. Perfect location for accessing DC and a very comfortable neighborhood. Jennifer is a breeze to deal with and the instructions were clear and easy. If you are visiting DC I highly recommend this place.
This place comes as advertised. We had 2 adults and 2 young children in our party. The washer/dryer was helpful. The garage parking was critical. The central heat worked amazingly well during the cold wet days we were there. The fold out sofa bed and two additional beds were extremely comfortable.
Absolutely a great location for restaurants and site seeing. The owner was incredibly easy to work with and available for any questions before and during our stay.
Great price. Great value. I would stay here again.
Our family of four loved this vacation rental on our recent visit to DC. It proved to be a convenient home base for all the exploring we had planned. We were excited to have the metro so close. In fact we took the metro to and from the airport with ease. Nearly everything we wanted to see was approximately a $10-15 cab ride away- a good value for a family of four.
Our kids loved having their own room- each with their own twin bed. The kitchen was gorgeous, and convenient for breakfasts (and well enough stocked to do some serious cooking). The property was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed seeing many of the nearby embassies. There are many dining options nearby, and Jennifer kindly provided a list of recommended restaurants.
What a treat to have an option like this property, rather than trying to cram a family of four into one hotel room.
We are a family of three, including a 3-yr old. In town for vacation, our plan was to get around on foot and public transit.
Unit C was as described, although it was larger than we expected based on the online pictures. Very clean. It was hot and humid during our stay, and the air conditioner worked well to keep the indoor temps comfortable. Although the staircase is a tight spiral as has been described, we are sufficiently able-bodied and had no problems going up and down; others might find the tight fit problematic. We were glad there was a washer and dryer (downstairs) and dishwasher (kitchen) along with the necessary soaps, all of which we used. There were no bath soaps.
It was easy dealing with Jennifer to get more info before and after the booking. She usually responded within 24hrs with specific answers to our questions. Booking the unit was simple, and the keyless entry system worked efficiently.
The neighborhood was fantastic. Lovely architecture, tree-lined streets, lots of flowers, safe. It was within one block of plenty of shops and restaurants and an easy 5-min walk to Dupont Circle metro station. Because of the 3-yr old, it was very convenient to have everything so close and accessible. We were back in the neighborhood for all dinners, and there were plenty of dining options. The farmer’s market on Sunday morning was awesome, great for grazing as well as collecting ingredients to prep for dinner. We did both!
For those with young kids, there are two parks with nice playgrounds (Mitchell, Stead parks) within 10-15min walk of the apartment, as well as several ice cream shops.
We would stay there again and recommend it to others with the staircase caveat described above.
My family of 5--two adults, 3 kids age 3 to 13, stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of October. We cooked every morning with breakfast goodies from the Safeway that is only 5 blocks away and an easy/safe walk. Packed sandwiches and snacks and either walked, or took the DC Metro everywhere we went. Right in Dupont Circle, check out restaurants: Mission---awesome tacos! Or Cirque for a little more up-scale dining. I would highly recommend this VRBO due to Jennifer being very responsive, its location, how clean and modern the apt. was, and the neighborhood! Great value!
