About The Owner

Purchased this house in 1999. Renovated it year by year upgrading it to live there with friends and family after being tired of renting places that weren't very nice and things didn't work. The interior was painted again in Nov 2015. I'm proud of this house. It's not a mansion but nicer than the great majority of ski houses I've seen rented in Killington. Chose this location for it's proximity to bars, restaurants, and slopes, plus tons of parking and breakfast place across the street as well as the ski bus stopping infront of the house. :)

The Owner purchased this house in 1999

Why The Owner chose Killington

My friends and I were renting in Killington for years and love it here in Killington. It has the most ski terrain, nightlife, restaurants, spas, etc. in the northeast and the house location is perfect and close to all the above, very close walking distance to bars, restaurants, and breakfast place, so perfect. Plus the ski bus stops literally infront of the house, you never have to drive once you're there if you don't want to. :)

What makes this house unique

Very large hot tub, largest hot water heater available for a house, ski bus literally stops at the house, breakfast and coffee place across the street, skating at the Foundation pond a few houses away, tons of parking, bars, restaurants, and spa very close by, on the Killington Rd (aka Access Rd), so location is ideal and the property is improved each year by the owner based on suggestions. House is renovated per the description. House also has a caretaker that is very responsive if something is ever needed.

Map

Killington's famous night life is very close by. Pancake House Breakfast, Peppino's, Woods Spa, Comfort Inn, The Foundry are all next door. Pickle Barrel, Jack's, The Garlic easy walking distance, and the ski bus stops literally at the house.

Perfect weekend away with friends

  • 5 of 5

Rented the house St. Patricks day weekend. Perfect house for a bachelor party ski weekend away for a group of 11. Two large (adult size) bunk beds in each of the three rooms easily and comfortably accommodated everyone. Large dining table, wrap around couch and fireplace were perfect for the entire group to hang out and the game room and hot tub were an added bonus that got good use throughout the weekend. In picking the house, I went mostly on reviews on this site and they were spot on. Keypad entry was also perfect for a large group with varying ski schedules! The pictures don't do the house much justice, which was a concern that was quickly alleviated the second we arrived. Plenty of parking space. Bill was always quick to respond and provided all the information needed to kick off a perfect long weekend. Two thumbs up! Will return in the future.

Family Ski Vacation

  • 5 of 5

There were 10 people in our family inc one child (8 years old). The house was a perfect size for us . We are a family who don't mind sharing bedrooms or bunk beds. The basement games room was a lot of fun. The guys and my grandson spent a lot of time playing pool and video games in the evening. Even though we ate out a lot the large dining room table was great. The hot tub was used frequently but on a couple of evenings it was cold. Some advice; after using it's important to top up the water level otherwise it loses its heat and takes about 10 hours to reheat. Andrew, the caretaker responded very quickly to the problem. The location of the house was really good. Short drive to the ample car parks by the slopes and close to all the bars and restaurants. Of the places we used, two stood out: Liquid Art is a very classy coffee house, cocktail bar and the best breakfast sandwiches. The Foundry, short walk from the house, was a fantastic dinner venue where we went on my daughter's birthday. The food was excellent and a live band created a vibrant atmosphere with terrific covers of 60's and 70's soul. Quite expensive, but very good.

Overall everything was perfect and I would highly recommend this house for a large group.

Great Rental House in Vermont

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with a large group of friends (12) and had a really great time. It was big, clean and you really can't beat the location! It's just a shuttle ride away from all the best restaurants and bars in Killington. The downstairs game room is definitely another highlight of this house.

Unfortunately, during our stay we caused some damage to the house but Bill was very understanding and fair with everything. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you're looking for a quick getaway weekend in Vermont.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much Joe! Glad you had fun, enjoyed the house, and felt we treated you very fairly as we understand accidents happen. Don't like them when they happen, but understand and try to help where we can. :) Love to have you back, well minus the damage causers who didn't know when to say when at happy hour, but you and the rest are welcome! :) Have an excellent rest of the winter!

Perfect Group Ski Trip!

  • 5 of 5

A group of 15 of us stayed in the lower unit over President's Day Weekend 2017 and it was awesome. The house is huge and extremely comfortable with 3 bedrooms full of large bunk beds and 2 full baths. Everything was spotless upon arrival and the hot tub took very little time to heat up. We skied all day, used the hot tub in the evening, and walked to Pickle Barrel (10 min) at night. Overall awesome stay and would definitely work with Bill again in the future!

Ultimate house for a large group

  • 5 of 5

We had 12 people stay for a ski weekend/bachelor party and the three rooms of double bunk beds (full size beds, not twin) were exactly what we needed. Game room downstairs with a pool table and Golden Tee arcade games were big hits too. The location was perfect and there was plenty of room to hang out in the kitchen/living room with large benches for the table and wrap around couch. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a house close to the mountains and want to have a good time with a larger sized group.

GREAT PLACE - EASY TO MT. and AWSOME FOR LARGE GROUPS!!!

  • 5 of 5

Bill was great to deal with and quick with the responses to questions leading up to our trip and even during our stay! We had a large group of guys for a Bachelor Ski weekend and one of the great things about this property is that he has custom built full sized bunk beds in every room. I have to say all my 6 ft+ friends thanked me that they all could sleep comfortable. The hot tub after both long days of skiing was a big +!!!! (w/ plenty of room for everyone.) The game room in the basement was a good place to chill out and keep the noise away from the early sleepers. Plenty of space in the Living room and Dinning table(s) to spread out and play some games. Even got to strike up a fire, even if it wasn't a particularly cold night. So much Parking, believe me you do not need to worry about that. Quick and convenient to the mountain and right on the bus way (we drove because I just like to have my car near by.) I would recommend this place to any group of friends looking for a weekend getaway. Also good for multiple families getting together. If thats what your looking for then go no further and reach out to Bill now!
