About Lee Ann

Adore Paris, love the food, ambiance and flavor of life in Paris. Would eventually like to spend more time there. This gives me the opportunity to enjoy Paris and help pay the mortgage. The apartment is very important to my husband and I, so please take good care of it. We put a lot of effort into making it nice. We hope whoever rents it enjoys it as much as we do. Oh and it has encouraged me to learn French. A great bonus

Lee Ann purchased this apartment in 2006

Why Lee Ann chose 15th Arrondissement Vaugirard

There is so much to do. The most common comment thus far is that they didn't have to leave the area. It has everything. But if you do leave there are three different Metro lines within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. Great restaurants, nearby parks and fabulous little French cafes, two cheese shops a stones throw away, multiple boulangeries and much more. Music on Saturday night at the local Brasserie, and it is usually Jazz.

What makes this apartment unique

Bright sunny and quiet right in the heart of the city. There is a local market twice a week, Wednesday and Sunday. So much to do so little time to do it in.

Great apartment in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

If you want to stay in an updated, clean, comfortable and well equipped apartment in "real" Paris, this will be just right. The location is so quiet you'd never know you were in a big city, yet it is convenient to several Metro stops so you could get anywhere quickly. We miss our morning croissants and excellent cheeses bought just around the corner. I think the Rue de Commerce with its friendly local shops and restaurants is a "hidden gem" - no tour groups like you find in the more well-known parts of the city. We are planning another trip to Paris and look forward to staying here again.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

This was my third time in Paris. Stayed at the apartment for an amazing 10 days with my 18 year old daughter. In reality apartment even better than it looks on pictures - very spacious for Paris, spotless clean, comfortable, with well equipped kitchen. Does not feel like a rental place. Feels like someone invited you to their home that was created with love and passion.

Great location to feel the city and its people, not touristy at all. We stayed quite a bit in the area and enjoyed morning croissants from Eric Kayser, Maison Aveline, and Boulanger bakeries; rotisserie chicken and variety of pates from Juignet Patrik boucherie. Cafe de Commerce is a great place for people watching. Love Rue de Commerce boutiques, I have found a few new favourite French brands.

Very friendly and helpful owner, a pleasure to deal with! Look forward to staying again on my next trip to Paris and will definitely be recommending to friends.

Elegant and comfortable in perfect area

  • 5 of 5

Close to many small shops so that you can shop and eat local. All kinds of other shops: clothing, electronics/technology, pharmacy, everything you need. Ten minute walk to a shiny new shopping mall with a Marks and Spencer. Ditto to a major grocery store. Metro station two minutes away. Quiet but central. Just south of Eiffel Tower. Dream location, also ideal if you love to walk. Would stay again for sure. Two of us stayed for a month.

Amazing Vacation - Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I couldn't have had a better experience for our first trip to Paris! The apartment served our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, cozy and very well designed. The doors closing off the bedroom space were clever and functional. The shower was great ... I had concerns that the water pressure might not be good, but it was! The towel warmer was a great little luxury. The kitchen was well stocked and there were nice little extras like maps, books, dvds and travel supplies. Very thoughful!

The neighborhood was wonderful too ... exactly what we were looking for. It felt like a neighborhood rather than a tourist area. It was easy to get on the Metro although we ended up walking almost everywhere to enjoy the great cafes and shops on the Rue de Commerce. I would recommend this apartment to anyone mobile enough to traverse the 3 flights of stairs. We would love to go back someday and would definitely want to stay in this apartment again!

Owner's Response: Thanks, you have described it in a nutshell. We have come to understand how the French stay so slim. No elevators. Their food is rich and delicious but as you say you end up walking everywhere and then add the stairs. Glad you enjoyed the neighborhood. The bustling little parien shops and bakeries add so much to the ambience. Hope to have you visit again.

This was our 4th Paris visit and had a wonderful 9 day stay in this great Paris apartment... it is very user friendly, spotlessly clean and located in a very safe yet busy area... oodles of typical shops all along nearby Rue du Commerce.

We found the location in the 15th to be absolutely great... "real" Paris just outside your door and yet walking distance to several of the most visited points of interest... i.e. Les Invalides, Le Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower, the much overrated Rue Cler, Les Champs Elysés etc.

A short bus ride (# 70 ), from the nearby corner of rue Mademoiselle, will take you to the beautiful and highly touristy St-Germain-des Prés area... The Louvre, Notre-Dame, Musée d'Orsay, the Seine River, Le Marais district etc.

A very good choice for a Paris vacation apartment ... Highly Recommended !

Owner's Response: Many thanks for adding such a clear description of our location and apartment, my husband and I were smitten by the neighborhood when we found it. It is a real gem. Parisians know it very well but outsiders are drawn to the 6th and 7th, where you now mostly meet tourists. I love the cafes on the park where we are and the little French boutiques and restaurants. Hopping on the bus and metro around the corner make it simple to get anywhere. There are so many things to do. Thanks again
