About Tony Mazlish
Hummingbird was named by our parents, who built it in 1963. They passed it on to their two sons, Tony & Jared, who own it together now, with our families. We spend most of July and August in the house each summer and rent it out in the fall and Spring. The home is very special to us and we hope to keep it in the family for generations. It is a simple, light- filled, comfortable and beautiful summer home that is a touchstone for our family and has brought us much joy for over 50 years.

Why Tony Mazlish chose Mount Desert

Sports & Adventure Activities
perfect house for us!
a really eclectic house with wonderful views- can see the ocean from the master bedroom (huge windows) and the main living area and deck. Tons of books to browse through although we were busy and out and about. The lower bedrooms were great for my brother and daughters -almost like their own suite. I would come back here in a heartbeat and hope to do so-maybe next summer. Thanks Tony :)
Lots of beds, great views - everything we were looking for. Tons of space for a large family group. Tony was terrific to deal with. I highly recommend this place!!!
Beautiful property; great location
Our group of 8 had a great stay here; the property is absolutely beautiful and just minutes away from sand beach and an entrance to Acadia. We especially loved using the provided speakers--there's one on each level--and the fireplace.
So glad the hear you had a nice time. Hope the weekend was everything you dreamed it would be.
Wish we had stayed longer
We stayed here for just a weekend, but wish we could have stayed for a whole week. This is a marvelous place, very comfortable, with all the comforts of home, and lots of extras and amenities. The setting is gorgeous, and very close to everything on Mt. Desert Island.
The location and surroundings are nice and has beautiful views. But the house is very old and is in need of repairs and painting especially the basement. Even though property description says there are 5 bedrooms only two are in good condition. The other rooms are in basement and did not look good.
The house was well stocked. Customer service was very good. We had an issue with a bathroom, they came out and fixed it immediately.
Ours was a family reunion trip of adult couples. The house was very clean and well equipped. The location and view are exceptional. We saw a pair of huge wild turkeys walk across the back one morning. There is one king bedroom on the top floor, with a full bath, one king bedroom on the main floor with a half bath. The remaining bedrooms and full bath with laundry are on the bottom floor. The bottom floor does have a basement feel to it, but was very clean. All walls facing the back are almost exclusively glass French doors giving everybody an INCREDIBLE view. It was very private and felt very safe. If stairs are a problem, this probably wouldn't be the best house as no rooms require no stairs, but none require a whole lot either. The owner was great to work with and very friendly. I am glad we stayed here and would do so again if in the area!
