Come enjoy the lake with friends and family in a beautiful deep water cove. Everyone will love swimming or floating off the dock in the large quiet cove. Along the shoreline is a huge deck where you can spend the entire day and enjoy some shade from the trees in the afternoon. There is so much to do - take out the kayaks for an early morning paddle, boat rides to enjoy the pristine lakefront around the park, Fish, Hike or bike in the park or enjoy the best water ski or wake boarding water on the lake minutes from the cove. We even have a friendly school of bluegills that hang out under the dock that the kids love to feed crumbs.
The huge screened in porch is great for an evening drink or while dinner is on the grill and ping pong or shuffleboard matches in the game room make for night time excitement. For a mellow evening enjoy the large living room with cathedral ceiling on the main floor and take in a movie. The entire house was furnished with new furniture in 2008.

Wonderful home - worth a repeat visit!
This house is great and we had a wonderful our stay! It is big, roomy, well-appointed, in a quiet neighborhood. We had a family Thanksgiving holiday and it was perfect. While there was no swimming, our son did put his fishing boat in the water and had fun fishing. We plan to return in warmer weather to enjoy all this house has to offer! As it was, we all enjoyed our stay and appreciated having this great house to enjoy!
Comfortable home. Very relaxing.
Although the home isn't modern or updated, it is large, clean and comfortable. The sleeping arrangements are ideal; a bunk room plus two other bedrooms in the basement with the ping pong table and shuffleboard. Upstairs two large bedrooms on opposite ends of the house makes it easy to have your own space. Plenty of bathrooms as well. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, and I suggest not going to the store before checking to see what's already there. No need to get cooking spray, oil, flour, sugar, or even refrigerator condiments! The dock is nice, with lots of chairs. However, it's 95 steps from the main level of the house to get to the dock. This is an issue if you're not in good physical condition, or you get to the boat and forgot your sunscreen! The owner (Linda) is a delight to deal with, and that alone goes a long way. :-)
We have been renting homes on the lake for years and this was by far the best. We have had problems in the past with trying to check in while the cleaning crew is still there...not here. The place was clean, and supplies more than most rentals. Owners response was very timely. The grill was at the end of its life, I sent the owner a text about it, and the next day the handy man brought over a brand new top of the line grill. Home is in a great location and finding it by boat is easy due to the Windemere island bridge. We also loved the road to the house (which we refered to roller coaster rd) Thank you for the opporyunity
Wonderful Labor Day weekend at the lake.
We stayed for four nights over Labor Day weekend. Three families total with kids ranging in age from 8-12. The kids LOVED the game room with ping pong and shuffleboard and kept them entertained in the evenings. We also loved having the two kayaks there and used those every day. It's quite a hike up and down the stairs to the dock but well worth it. Full sun until about 2:00 in the afternoon and then shady for the rest of the day. House is in a quiet cove and the kids were able to swim and float around right off the dock without worrying about boats flying back and forth. All the bedrooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were huge. Having a kitchen upstairs and down was a great welcome (esp. having two refrigerators). The house was the most "well-stocked" rental property we have ever stayed in. Everything you could have possibly wanted/needed was there for use. Felt like we were at home. Linda was esp. easy to work with and answered all of our questions. We had a problem with the air conditioner that she promptly responded to and had someone over to fix it within the hour. Very relaxing trip!
Best Family Trip Ever!
My family and I came from Ohio and Florida to North Carolina for our sons graduation from UNCC. The lake house is beautiful!! It is spacious giving everyone plenty of room and privacy but it is also cozy with lots of places to gather together. There were lots of games and the ping pong table and shuffleboard hardly ever got a rest. We fed and caught lots of fish and enjoyed the dock. It was very clean and inviting and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need including many pantry items. We loved the house and would like to return. Thank you to the owners for sharing your lovely home.
We were looking for a place to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary and the setting and house worked out great for all of us. We had my brother in from Michigan, and my sister from Virginia with all of our kids. There was so much going on but we never seemed on top of each other. The lake is beautiful and was hard to get the kids out of the water. We want to come back for a week in the summer. The closest town is about 15 minutes away so plan a big shopping run so you don't have to travel out often.
The house is located on beautiful Lake Norman right next to Lake Norman State Park. The park is over 32,000 undeveloped acres making this the most scenic area on the lake. Inside the park are biking and hiking trails, a large swimming area with a beach & life guard in addition to lots of natural wildlife. Lake Norman has beautiful clear water and 520 miles of shore line for adventure. Mooresville is a few miles away and is one of the fastest growing towns in NC. In town there is plentiful shopping and dining options in addition to being known as 'Race city USA' Day trips in the area include a visit to the Lazy Five Ranch, the Rapture Trust, or head down to Charlotte and visit the Children's Museum, Carowinds Theme Park or the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and much more. Other Activities: Beach at lake norman park
