This furnished 1 bedroom apartment is located on 9 rue d'Oslo 75018, nearby Caulaincourt and Lamarck streets. It is situated at the bottom of Montmartre hill, with a lot of diverse food shops, as well as plenty of restaurants and cafes. The apartment is a few steps away from the Place des Abesses (Amelie Poulain movie was shot there) one of Paris most picturesque squares; and it will take you about 15 minutes to climb to Sacre Coeur Basilica and Place du Tertre.
This 45m² (approx. 450 sq.ft.) furnished apartment is located on the 6th floor (7th in the USA) of a 70's building with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a hall. Then, there is a second door protected by an intercom leading to the staircase and elevator, so it is very well secured.
The entry armed-door opens into the main room, and on the right-hand side is the separated kitchen, then bathroom-toilets and the bedroom with a balcony overlooking the inside private garden.
The main room has parquet floor and a large bay window leading to the 36m² (360 sq ft) terrace with dining table and chairs.
The separated kitchen (also overlooking the inside private garden) is equipped with vitroceramic plates, a microwave, an electric oven, a coffee maker, a dishwasher, a washing machine (no dryer), a toaster, a fridge, a kettle and a table with 2 chairs.
The bathroom is accessible by a corridor between the main room and the bedroom and is fitted with a shower, a washbasin, a heated towel rack, and toilets.
Heat and hot water are central and provided by the building.
For convenient travel in Paris, the nearest metro station is Guy Môquet(line 13) about 5 minutes walking distance, bus line 95; both bound to Saint Lazare Train Station, Galleries Lafayette mall, Opera, Louvre Museum...
Don’t miss the chance to enjoy this beautiful, sun-lit apartment whose owner is quite the gentleman. Modern, secure, and well-equipped, it is a short-walk from Rue des Abesses at the foot of Montmartre. Enjoy a functional, up-to-date kitchen where you can prepare all the classic French recipes. Sleep comfortably in a dual-controlled multi-positioned bed, surrounded by the remarkable quiet of the peaceful Paris courtyard below. And wake to a lovely rainfall shower in a sparkling clean, white bathroom. This apartment offers the very heart of Paris … or should we say: The last time I saw Paris, her heart was warm and gay. I heard the laughter of her heart in every street café. [Oscar Hammerstein].
This apartment was a relaxing breath of fresh air from the bustling, charming neighborhood below it's HUGE terrace. Myself and my boyfriend felt right at home within its sunny, airy walls for 6 weeks.
The modern bathroom and kitchen were clean and well equipped. As for the bedroom, it was comfortably sized, the closets allowed for sufficient storage and its small balcony with a table and chairs was wonderful a wonderful place for morning coffee.
The true selling point of the apartment is it's huge, sun-drenched terrace. It is perfect for dinner parties, or as a quite respite from the city.
The owner of the apartment was attentive, kind and pleasant. He spoke both English and French, and was able to offer suggestions about the neighborhood.
I would recommend this apartment for a single person or a couple.
