Casa Vista Alegre sits majestically on 'Gringo Hill' overlooking the quaint town plaza of Sayulita. When this Non-Smoking house was renovated in 2003, deliberate care was taken to maintain the history, authenticity and special feeling of the 'old style'; this is not a 'modern' house, but a very comfortable house, none the less. Known to most as 'the house with many doors,' Casa Vista Alegre is a home of brick, large timbers, and eight sets of stunning wooden/iron double doors.
The hand-crafted doors open onto an expansive wrap-around veranda, which overlooks the village, the beautiful bay of Sayulita, and the endless Pacific Ocean. Watching the surfers’ work their magic from your own private patio is a bonus!
The main floor of the home consists of Suite Principal, Suite el Medio, a full kitchen, dining area and airy living room. As of June 2016, the bedrooms ARE air conditioned with individual units to allow for perfect sleeping conditions. The kitchen and living areas are cooled by the fabulous ocean breezes thru the secure locking iron screened doors.
Suite Principal has a private entrance, private bath w/shower, kitchenette, satellite TV, air conditioning and luxurious king-size bed. (see photo) Enjoy the view of the crashing surf as you bathe in the open air shower!
Suite el Medio has a queen-size bed and individually controlled a/c, with an adjoining private bath complete with HUGE tub and dual showerheads. The bedroom offers a private entrance from the veranda, although it can also be accessed from the main living area.
The 500 square foot living room, with full kitchen and flat screen TV with satellite channels and NETFLIX capabilities, provides a spacious and relaxing gathering area. (see photo of this room).
Suite Abajo is accessed right inside the property gate, just a few steps up from a quiet residential street. An air conditioned suite with private open air bath, kitchenette, tiled floors, beds for four plus a queen size sofa sleeper, gives this room both quantity AND quality! Recently upgraded with beautiful tile work in both the bath and kitchenette.
Casa Vista Alegre is perfect for large groups who want to be together, but also want to maintain some privacy.
Although just 3 blocks from the beach, two private swimming pools provide the utmost enjoyment on the hot and sunny Mexican days as an alternative to the ocean.
Complete with a large architecturally designed infinity swimming pool with expansive pool deck this amazing tiled pool has built-in lounge chairs and perimeter seating. If you prefer a smaller pool with a bit of shade, there is a beautiful 'plunge' pool a level up, right off the main floor kitchen and living room.
Beautiful Mexican tile accents the main kitchen and baths, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The large living area, including full kitchen and veranda, affords plenty of space for families and extra sleeping room if needed. Although the living areas are not air conditioned, the fabulous ocean breezes keep it cool and comfortable during most of the year.
At Casa Vista Alegre the possibilities for family, fun, adventure, romance, and relaxation are endless!

Thank you again LeAnne. Our families had an amazing wk.Never had a rain out day, night was different.Saturday night there was a scary storm. All and all it was wonderful. You and your staff made it a vacation to remember.
Our vacation was amazing. Perfect space for two families of 4. The staff was great and very helpful.
We had the best week in Sayulita staying at Casa Vista Alegra. The two pools are warm, clean and provided many hours of entertainment for us. The property was immaculate, the staff was attentive and the privacy was plenty. LeAnne is great to work with, and, bless her heart, she provided us with an amazing gift upon our arrival. She was very nice to deal with. We will definitely stay again.
Based on the photographs and description of Casa Vista Alegre we had high expectations for our stay in Sayulita. Upon our arrival it was immediately apparent that this would be one of those rare moments that our travel expectations would be wildly exceeded. Casa Vista Alegre is set on a hillside just two blocks above the center of Sayulita and offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. While close to the town and the beach, the Casa also offers privacy with a sense of being just far enough removed from the energy of the town center.
Casa Vista Alegre was clean and beautifully furnished with everything we needed. In addition, a cleaning service was provided daily and included delivery of fresh drinking water. The three bedrooms easily accommodated our party of four adults and there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the stay.
I can't recommend this home highly enough. The owner, LeAnne, was also very helpful in suggesting ways to make our trip easy and fun-packed. We would stay at Casa Vista Alegre again without any hesitation.
We stayed at LeAnne's home for 4 days over President's Day weekend and had a wonderful time--our first (of hopefully many) trips to Sayulita! The house was great, very close to the city center with lots of restaurants and bars and a short walk to the beach. There were 7 of us that it fit very comfortably. The pools were very well-maintained and felt wonderful in the afternoon sunshine. We used the kitchen minimally, but it seemed very well stocked...you could certainly cook all of your meals there easily and comfortably. Wi-fi worked well. Cleaning people came daily to tidy up the bedrooms which was unexpected, but wonderful. LeAnne was also very helpful--she found us great transportation to/from Sayulita and made some great suggestions for places to visit in town. There was even a very nice bottle of tequila waiting for us on our arrival! Hopefully we'll be back soon.
We were a party of seven and we loved staying at this home - the views are stunning and the location (just a few blocks from the beach and right above the town square) is perfect. LeAnne is very prompt to respond to any queries and was a pleasure to work with - just sorry we didn't get to meet her in person!
Our family had a delightful stay in this property over New Years 2016.
Sayulita is a charming town, and we loved wandering the streets, finding shops and restaurants. We spent several days on the beach as well.
The house worked well for the 6 of us (2 adults, 4 kids ages 8-13), and we easily fit in my parents when they showed up. There are proper beds for 8 people, bus since some of the kids didn't want to share a queen bed, another bed was easily made out of a sofa.
We had slightly overcast weather while we were there, which meant we didn't spend quite as much time in the pools as I thought we would. The pools would have been perfect for hot, hot weather. However, since two of the rooms are not air conditioned, we decided that the slightly cooler weather was actually good.
The staff was very pleasant and friendly and accommodated our requests for extra towels as needed.
Thank you, LeAnne, for opening your house to us. We had a wonderful time.
