Serendipity Too is perfect for savoring romance and bliss with the Love of Your Life in our private love nest. Whether you're getting engaged, celebrating a wedding, honeymoon or anniversary getaway, our home is lavishly decorated with Your New Beginnings in mind!

Serendipity Too was completely remodeled inside & out in 2012 and our decor is updated seasonally. Our log home has black appliances, granite-look counter tops, stylish plumbing & light fixtures, a queen sleeper sofa and bumper pool/poker table in the carpeted loft, white blinds, cute dishes & lots of cookware if you want to cook at home!

Plus we've improved our property with an outdoor fire pit and lots of ever-blooming red and magenta rose bushes as well as hundreds of perennials.

Perfect for all our Christian guests, we created a prominently-placed 12-foot long banner that proclaims: 'As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord!' Joshua 24:15

Big Black Bears have been seen right here! (Looking for tasty garbage, not people!)

Romantic Serendipity Too is an all-log home nestled on a mountain ridge in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, just 15 minutes away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountain National Park entrance. It provides a private, peaceful location perfect for your romantic getaway or weekend escape, yet is also prepared to host up to 6 adults.

Our cabin is located in a log home community called Sky Harbor, accessed from the King Branch Road exit just a 15 minute drive southeast of Pigeon Forge on Parkway 441, and about 15 minutes to Gatlinburg. All cabins are owned individually, as opposed to being part of a resort. You can expect to drive 5 to 10 minutes from the Parkway up to the cabin. The closest Trolley Stop is located at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center, about 10 minutes farther southeast from the King Branch Road exit on Parkway 441. Click on our map link to see exactly where Serendipity Too is located and you can zoom out to see Pigeon Forge (about 10 minutes northwest from the King Branch Road exit) and Gatlinburg (about 15 minutes southeast).

Enjoy the tranquil relaxing breeze from the Cracker Barrel rocking chairs and bench on our back porch as you view the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Let our cabin transport you from the every-day hustle and bustle to a place where you will refresh and renew. You will enjoy the privacy and peacefulness here, since each home is on an acre lot and the nearest cabins are at least 100-200 feet away on either side, or 500 feet up or down the mountain. The back deck has bamboo privacy blinds and ivy-covered lattice that keep others from seeing you when you’re enjoying the hot tub.

The Mountain View from our front porch expands across a valley to another mountain ridge covered with trees and other cabins. There’s no other cabin directly in front of or behind Serendipity Too. Our large wooden porch swing hangs beneath the back deck with full afternoon sun and splendiferous sunset views.

As you enter this cozy chalet style log home you will find 30' high vaulted ceilings with a large river rock-covered fireplace and log mantel, a 32' TV with DVD/VCR player, a leather sleeper sofa with a queen-size bed and stereo with AM/FM/CD player in the open great room.

Our fully-equipped kitchen includes a large round glass and wrought iron table with four comfortable suede-upholstered chairs. You will be pleased to find there are plenty of upscale dishware, silverware, utensils, pots & pans, casserole dishes, cooking and bake ware, appliances and Black & Decker coffee maker and toaster oven.

In the master bedroom you will find our Queen Anne Jacuzzi tub for two, perfect for a slippery & sudsy bubble bath with your honey. You will also have a sturdy queen size log bed with stylish comforter and soft linens, a closet and oak armoire for your clothes and a TV. This Master Suite opens out to the private deck where you'll enjoy the secluded wooded setting. A set of linens and towels are provided for your convenience along with a starter set of toilet tissue & paper towels.

Upstairs in our loft is a 3-in-1 bumper pool / poker / table, plus another TV with DVD/VCR and a large microfiber convertible sleeper sofa with queen-size bed. You will never have to leave this lover’s paradise to have a great time!

On the large back deck you have a huge hot tub comfortable for 4 or 6 people, plus 3 rocking chairs and a love seat with lots of pillows where you can enjoy the mountains with your special someone. You will have complete privacy with 3 sets of bamboo pull-down blinds and ivy-covered lattice that surround the deck. At night you'll enjoy the romantic lighting strung around the back porch ceiling!

Serendipity too has lots of adorable and romantic decorations and floral arrangements including hearts, angels and roosters and is bright and cheery with lots of huge windows for viewing the mountains. There is a full bathroom with tub and shower, plus a separate laundry room with full-size washer/dryer. There’s even an ironing board, iron and hairdryer!

Amenities include Wireless Internet, Charter Cable TV with extended network channels plus free local telephone service. Plus, we provide sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, wash cloths & soap for your personal & housekeeping needs.

This is the ultimate cabin to celebrate your engagement, wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or unique & romantic getaway; it's also perfect for family fun. We know you'll enjoy your stay in Serendipity Too and will find it difficult to leave!

About Suzie

We enjoy the Smokies so much, we came here for our honeymoon! We fell in love with the peacefulness and fresh air in the mountains. We always travel with our four pugs, who consider Serendipity Too their 2nd home!

Suzie purchased this chalet in 2003

Why Suzie chose Tennessee

We love the mountain air and friendly local community, plus there are so many great restaurants to try and shopping galore! Our cabin is smack dab between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg on 'The Spur' of Parkway 441, so it's perfect for access to the entire community!

What makes this chalet unique

We love the privacy and openness of our log chalet which has lots of huge windows for mountain views plus a large front porch and back deck.

Great week in the Smoky Mointains

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this cabin a few years ago so the second time was as good as the first time. It's location is great for the mountains to enjoy or Pigeon Forge for dinner and shopping. We also get to bring our dog which is a plus if you are an animal lover like we are. Lots of windings roads to find the cabin but once you get use to them it's easier to find. We will go back next year. The cabin is clean and

The Cabin is very nice and well decorated. The furnishings were acceptable, but starting to show their age. The unacceptable part was that the kitchen was full of carpenter ants! We turned on the stove, and out came the ants. Turned on the oven, and out came the ants. we couldn't leave anything in the sink without finding ants. We even cleaned the entire kitchen and still had to fend off an army of ants every time we tried to cook something.

The final straw was the roach that we found in the bathroom. The ants were bad enough but weren't concerned that they would be coming home with us. Left the next day!

Word to the wise. Should you still decide to rent this place. It is located at the top of a very steep hill. Getting to it may be a little too much for people with height issues or have difficulties in climbing steep stairs or walking on uneven ground. There are several single lane roads that lead up to the cabin that you can't see over the top of for on coming traffic, and corners that you have to creep around to see. I would not take the road in off of the parkway as the rental company suggests. It is lane in many areas, and no place to pass should you come upon another car. The roads coming in from the east side of Gatlngburg are further, but much easier to maneuver.

Owner's Response: This is an example of what happens when a guest is charged an excess cleaning fee. This guest refused to allow our cleaning service to address the reported ant situation. Though the guest provided no pictures of the armies of ants or roaches they refer to, the cleaning service forwarded a dozen images of the litter and pet hair they encountered after the guests' week long stay. We routinely employ pest control services to mitigate the insects inside our log home and regret when our guests encounter these undesirable elements. All our furniture, appliances, light and plumbing fixtures, blinds and drapes were replaced in 2012. We deep clean and redecorate every 3 months and have been told our cabin is much nicer than most. We try hard to exceed our guests' expectations and are sorry this guest had such a negative experience. Notably, we received positive reviews from guests before and after this. There are thousands of log homes in this mountain community, and the 2-lane paved roads servicing the area ARE winding and hilly. Somehow, most guests visiting the area are able to make their way to and from their cabins notwithstanding the difficulties. Indeed, we've hosted hundreds of guests at Serendipity Too over the past 10 years with many repeat visitors!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We would definitely stay here again! Suzie was great to work with and very patient with me as this was my first time using the site. We accidentally left my daughters new pair of cowgirl boots at the cabin and she worked with us to get them back.

The cabin is true to the pictures and very cozy. I would recommend getting there during the day because the parking threw us a bit arriving at 10pm and it was raining. Loved it here!

Large Black Bears looking for garbage naturally roam the area from about April till November. We have two 55-gallon metal drums with bear-proof lids for your garbage. If you WANT to increase your chances for seeing a bear, just leave some stinky rubbish by the fire pit, which you can see from a safe distance on both the front & back decks. We've seen them both day and night so you may be in luck! Our nearest neighbors are at least 200-300 feet away; none of the nearby homes face ours. You don't need to worry about snoopy people trying to catch you naked! Plus our back deck has three sets of bamboo pull-down blinds & ivy-covered lattice to provide maximum privacy while you enjoy the hot tub! There's a Hanging Swing for Two beneath the hot tub and a large open area with a real in-the-ground fire pit for your own campfire. There's plenty of kindling to get your fire started but you may want to buy logs from a store if you're not into gathering sticks from the woods!
