'Cozy' two-bedroom brownstone apt, sleeps up to four people. Located on the Upper West Side's most lovely street, a half-block from Central Park and a few minutes'walk from major subway stations.
It's the street pictured in Nora Ephron's:'You've Got Mail' and dozens of other movies -- a quaint neighborhood with food markets, newsstands, coffee shops and bars, and your choice of restaurants almost outside the door.
You can run along the reservoir in Central Park or walk across to the Metropolitan Museum. The Museum of Natural History is minutes away, as is the Jewish Museum and the Conservatory Gardens.
The apartment is two floors up. Its rear windows look out on sycamore and willow trees, and the only sounds are those of the birds in the morning.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in this apartment in July 2016. The location is wonderful. It's located 1/2 block from Central Park, on the upper west side, close to the 96th street subway station. The apartment's kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make our own breakfasts, and more meals if we had wanted to. The living area is small, but adequate. The decor is somewhat lacking, there isn't much on the walls, and a coat of fresh paint would be a big improvement. The apartment was clean, and lots of linens were provided. The bathroom has been updated recently. I was very thankful for the air conditioning units, as the weather was very hot, but they were noisy, and I did need to wear ear plugs in order to sleep. There didn't seem to be any other noise at all. Our largest complaint was the mattress of the main bedroom. It seemed to be so worn out in the centre, that we both would fall into the middle. It was very uncomfortable, and we only slept together the first night. Thank goodness we had the second bedroom that had bunk beds. For the rest of our stay, I slept on the bottom bunk. Our hosts Vera and Joseph were great communicators, and provided lots of helpful information on the local area. I wouldn't stay in the apartment again, however, unless the mattress is replaced.
We would definitely stay at this place again!
Convenient location: walking distance to subways, Central Park, tons of wonderful cafes, gelato shoppes, markets, etc.
The apartment was spotless, with wonderful rustic brick, clean bathroom and kitchen. Bedrooms are small, but we are from Texas where everything is big, and in NY, everything is smaller, but we got used it. We LOVED IT!!!
Vera was extremely attentive and ALWAYS returned my phonecalls/emails/texts within minutes (before & during my stay). You can't beat the price either. We can't say enough about this apartment and the wonderful service Vera and her housekeeping service provided. Thank you and we will definitely refer people to you home!
You can't ask for a better location. This apartment is a lovely gem in a city that can be daunting for out of state visitors. As four unescorted ladies, we NEVER felt unsafe in this neighborhood. The building is just steps away from bus and subway stops, yet feels tucked away and "homey." The close markets and drug stores were convenient. We took a leisurely 20 minute stroll through Central Park to the Met. The ability to leave our luggage until 3pm was also VERY helpful! When picking up the luggage we happened upon the cleaning service. This place is CLEAN! She appeared to be very thorough. The only thing was the volume of the TV would randomly go out. This wasn't really an issue, we didn't watch much. Just a heads up that it may need to be serviced. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed the apartment!!!
We felt very lucky to find a 2 bedroom apartment on the UWS located a 1/2 block from Central Park for this price. We loved the location and how quiet the neighborhood was. On our first night there we walked down the block to Central Park and came out near the reservoir. We love to spend time in Central Park so this apartment was perfect for us. This area has great restaurants, coffee shops and grocery markets on Broadway, Amsterdam and Columbus.
Vera was great to work with and very professional. We hope to stay here again in the future.
The apartment is beautifully located, making for a wonderful stay in the city. The apartment itself is clean and pleasant. It is small, but not really by NYC standards and it is fairly priced, especially for the great location. The heater in the small room makes quite a bit of noise, but aside from that small inconvenience, we were very pleased with the apartment and enjoyed our stay greatly.
The apartment location is fabulous in a really beautiful. typical New York st upper west side just a minute from central park. You can walk across to east side in about 10 minutes through central park , subways to everywhere are just a few minutes walk and there is a great grocery store on the street corner and some nice restaurants and shopping around . It's a cozy ( small ) apartment but it fitted us and our 2 teenagers comfortably. comfy beds and air conditioning and a washing machine was a bonus . It was a quiet haven to come home to at the end of a busy sightseeing day . We would stay there again .Miss it already!!
