My husband and I were looking for a secluded, romantic getaway and this cabin was absolutely perfect! On the dead end of a road with an amazing restaurant (PJ's) literally within walking distance. We still can't get over that nice of a restaurant being out there. DO NOT FORGET to take binoculars! We sat on the deck for hours watching the eagles land in the trees all around us. We also watched the deer on the bank across the river. We did not catch many fish but were not really prepared. Just wading out in the river and trying was the most amazing and peaceful experience. My husband has been to the area many times fishing, but this was my first experience on one of the beautiful rivers in Arkansas, and I am totally hooked!! Can't wait to come back soon! Other eating recommendations are the Norfork Cafe for breakfast and if you do any driving around, there is an amazing BBQ place in Gassville about 30 minutes away called KT'S Smokehouse (I am a pretty picky BBQ person and this was the best I have ever had). Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin!
Cabin at the end of a peaceful road on a beautiful river! The location and cabin were beautiful! We carried our boat but did not need it. Fished from the gravel bar behind the cabin and caught fish every time we walked down the hill. Super Duper Chrome and Red. And PJ's is 100 yards away if you want fine dining! Watching the Eagles feed was awesome!
My family and I just returned from staying here. The pictures really don't do this place justices. The large picture windows allow an unobstructed view of the river. We watched 4 bald eagles from these windows each morning. Bring your binoculars! The large back deck was wonderful for family time and barbequing. The walk to the river was short and right in the cabins back yard. We were blessed with a lot of good, successful fishing. Lisa (owner) was great to work with. We will for sure be back! Try out PJ's when you go. It's pricey but well worth it.
Beautiful view and great fishing
We rented this cabin recently with another couple. It was close to the White River and we fished right out in front and caught trout. We fished one day with guides and had a great time and caught a lot of trout and had a great shore lunch. The cabin was very clean and had 2 very large picture windows with a great view of the White River. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck that overlooked the river. We even saw a roadrunner in the yard as well as eagles on the river. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. There was a fire pit facing the river. We will be back.
A peaceful getaway
We rented this beautiful cabin with another couple very recently. It is tucked away in a valley next to the white River. The first thing you see when you walk in the door is the view through two large picture windows. It also has an expansive deck with comfortable chairs to relax and get mesmerized by the river going by. I spent a lot of time out there watching the critters!
The cabin is nicely furnished and cool artwork. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen has everything you need except the food. There was no cell phone reception or Internet, but guess what? We survived just fine! They have a few important perks for a rental. Toilet paper, paper towels, and extra garbage bags. We rent on vrbo frequently and this was a first!
My brother in law fished every day and caught fish everyday. There are some very cool things nearby. We went to Blanchard Springs Cavern and it was amazing. There is a restaurant called PJ's that you can walk to in 3 minutes if you don't want to cook. If you go in the fall take some bug repellent. A little prevention goes a long way.
The whole experience was terrific and I would highly recommend this rental. We never got to meet Steve and Lisa, but everything was perfect!
Tranquility & Nature! 5 STARS
Thank you Steven & Lisa, what an amazing get away for me and my family! The cabin was beyond clean and cozy and the views are stunning. It was such a pleasure for my electronics to be turned off and enjoy the sound of the river passing by. The walk from the back deck to the river was about 30 feet and the ability to go fishing any time was so much fun! We even cooked our catch over the open flame fire pit located in the back yard of the cabin! So Yummy! We also met some amazing people passing by on the river. We would highly recommend this beautiful cabin for anyone trying to have a relaxing nature fishing filled vacation!
