Where to start? The location? Perfectly situated at the tip of the island on two acres overlooking Madd Inlet and Bird Island. We actually never even walked the short distance to the ocean because the water was perfect right where we were.
Sunset Beach is quite familiar to us as our own family has owned oceanfront property here for years. We happened on this delight when we needed additional lodging for a family wedding and since finding this piece of paradise we just can't stop returning. This end of the island is just pure untouched beauty teeming with glorious wildlife.
Or should I mention the fabulous charm of this cottage? Wonderfully decorated; comfortable beds with quality linens; plenty of places to lounge and take in all the incredible views; more than enough space for us to spread out. So many decks, screened in porches, a dock with kayaks, paddles, vest , a fireplace, a firepit, it just simply has everything.
It is set up to entertain and It just feels so comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. It is so evident that this has been in a family for many years and has been greatly loved and cared for.
The owner, could not possibly be any more accommodating. We've already booked it for three more extended vacations and just can't wait to return.
Thank you for sharing your home -- the perfect beach house for us to take a break from life and relax and enjoy a magnificent restorative vacation.
