** House Layout: Perfect for large or 2+ families **
The layout of the house and its size -- nearly 2600 sq ft -- is perfect for a large extended family or several families. Many different possible sleeping "configurations" to accommodate different types of families and groups.
Spacious and comfortable bedrooms: The Master Retreat is huge and private (on its own level) -– it has a king log canopy bed with designer linens, sitting area, 36' LCD TV, DVD player, gas fireplace with granite surround, and a beautiful bathroom suite with jet tub and dual sinks. There is even space for a twin mattress (which we have) if a small child wants to sleep with his or her parents. The Guest Room has a king bed, desk with 2 monitors and 42"' LCD TV. The Bunk Room has a 40" LCD TV with Apple TV and can sleep 6 people in 2 brand new twin- over-full bunk beds. Given the full bed on the bottom, an adult has room to sit up in the lower bunks -- they are quite comfortable. In addition, 2 can sleep on the new queen sofa sleeper in the main family room.
** AMAZING KITCHEN is a cook's dream **
Seat 8 at the dining table and another 3 at the breakfast bar for meals. Loads of counterspace, stainless, high-end appliances, Fridge with chilled & filtered water and ice in door. Bosch gas stove. Loads of small appliances: Keurig + 2 other coffee makers, toasters, hot water maker for hot cocoa or tea, Ninja blender, waffle maker, etc. Lots of silverware, dishes, glassware (for beer, wine, and everything else), cookware, bakeware, as well as staples and condiments so you don't have to go to the store for those little things. The dining area, connected to the kitchen, overlooks the family room (which is down 7 stairs). The dining table seats 8 (and there's a booster seat for toddlers). The breakfast bar seats another 3. Off the kitchen is a 3/4 bath and huge high efficiency washer and dryer with laundry detergent provided. There's also even a boot-warmer/dryer!
** Enjoy 2 Family Rooms with Huge TVs and More **
Enjoy and spread out in 2 FAMILY ROOMS, so the adults and kids can be watching separate movies or TV. The main family room has seating for 8 and has a HUGE 60' LCD TV, HD cable, DVD, movies, and sliding doors to the large deck with BBQ. The 'media room' or 2nd (smaller) family room is on the same level as the guest bedroom and bunkroom. It has a 55"' LCD TV, DVD player, X-Box, games, 2 giant Love Sac beanbag chairs, treadmill and elliptical machine for fitness buffs. It has a convertible sofa/futon and 2 reading chairs.
Loads of technology here for work or play! High speed cable modem Internet with WiFi, printer, and 2 iPhone dock/chargers. We don't have a land-line telephone, however, so bring your cell phone.
** IDEAL LOCATION **
Just a few blocks to paved bike trail and hiking trails and 4 blocks to Main St. and the free Summit Stage. Plus, treadmill and elliptical machine in media/family room for the rare rainy day that you can't ski, bike or run.
Save a bundle! The owner helps guests find lift ticket and other discounts and there's a supermarket discount card attached to the keys!
** Family and Pet Friendly with Tons of Amenities **
We have 2 kids, so there's a pack-n-play, baby gate, portable high chair and jogging stroller. Although we don't (yet) have pets outselves, I love dogs and know they are part of your family, so we do allow well behaved pets with prior approval, security deposit and $20/night/pet fee. There are great bike and hiking trails nearby to walk Fido too!

We live in Boulder, CO with our 2 kids, who love Summit Ski House too! We are veteran owners and VRBO users: we've owned vacation rentals since 2000 and have rented them via VRBO since 2003. We use Summit Ski House ourselves, especially in the summer, and are continuously upgrading appliances and furnishings.
Shana purchased this house in 2009
Frisco is beautiful and offers so many activities -- skiing, hiking, biking, boating, etc -- that you can walk or bike to in the summer. We love to walk to Main St., the marina on Lake Dillon and the nearby playground. The paved biketrail is also amazing, and just a few blocks away. It's centrally located to everything in Summit County.
Summit Ski House is great for relaxing and entertaining and we often invite another family of 4 to join us, as the house is very well suited for 2 families. We enjoy being able to cook and entertain, as the dining area seats 8 and the breakfast bar seats 3. Our kids love the DVDs, games, Love Sac chairs and X-box we have there. We are continuously upgrading appliances and furnishings. So most of what's in the house is nearly new and useful. Need a charger/dock for your iPhone 6, 5 (or 4) -- it's here. Want a huge boot warmer so your boots and helmet are dry for the next day -- it's here! We want to delight you with everything, large and small.
This property is in a perfect location. Beautiful views, tons of things to do, kid friendly, quiet and peaceful. The owner is outstanding and very helpful. We will definitely be back.
The large kitchen and family room are nice features. The master bedroom that my wife and I occupied is top shelf. Good views from the deck and family room and good walkability.
We rented this home for a week in July 2016 for our 3 families. The home was perfect for us, 6 adults, a 7 year old, 4 year old, two 1 year old children and one dog. We have stayed in a lot of homes, and this one is stocked like no other home we have stayed in. Everything you could ever want. We enjoy cooking while on vacation, and this home had everything we needed, and then some in a wonderfully large kitchen. Spices, foil, baggies, condiments, crock pot, BBQ grill, you name it, it had it. The location is 2 blocks from Main Street, which was perfect. And Shana the owner was a delight to work with! Very responsive to any question. And did I mention the DVD's? Washer and Dryer? Bikes in the garage? Pack and Play? Booster chair? We love staying in Frisco, and we have found our home away from home. Oh yes, and the hot tub was enjoyed by the older children and their parents. So fun!
All 5 of us really enjoyed this wonderful home. Two of 'US' were 3 year old twin boys. Two 40 something parents and a 68 year old Grandma. All had a great time in this beautiful place. Just a few blocks to main street Frisco, yet a feeling of rural. Wonderful view of mountains quiet splendor. Close to all attractions plus a great school park a few blocks away. Beds were wonderful and gave way to great sleep. My daughter-in-law said "this is a DREAM kitchen". Everything is very clean and high end, yet kid friendly if need be. From the minute we walked in, it felt like LUXURY! You can't help but love this place. We enjoyed the Outlet stores in Silverthorne and the boys learned to throw rocks in the water in Dillion Lake. Breckenridge is only 7 miles away and a beautiful drive and interesting town.
We vacation in Frisco every summer. This year we chose the Summit Ski House because we were able to bring our entire family including our dog. The layout was great and there was plenty of room for everyone. We took advantage of the board games, hot tub, big screen TV's and enjoyed the short walk downtown. The owner was very helpful and extremely pleasant. This house is definitely one that we would stay in again.
We stayed at the Summit Ski House in Frisco in January 2015 and had a great time and would absolutely do it again. The Frisco house and layout easily accommodated our extended family of 9 adults and provided plenty of room for all of us to enjoy and relax. Kitchen is fully equipped and the house includes many other helpful amenities including HD, WiFi, washer/dryer, hot tub and various board games. The location is perfect... we enjoyed various restaurants in Frisco and skied great conditions at Breck, Copper and Vail. Owner was very helpful in advance of the trip in providing information on equipment rental options, local spas and restaurants and even called during our stay to make sure we were satisfied. We loved the place and all agreed we'd stay at the house again next year... no question.
Frisco is the most centrally located town in Summit County and has a quaint Main Street a mile long and full of shops, restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. Summit Ski House is just 4 blocks from Main and 4 blocks to the paved bike trail that goes to Brekenridge and Copper and an extensive network of hiking/mountain biking trails. It's only 5 min to Copper, 20 min to Vail, 12 min to Brekenridge, 17 min to Keystone, 7 min to great Outlet shopping in Silverthorne.
