We ran a ski travel business in Utah for 20 years before retiring and coming to McCall to build our dream cabin with room for our 9 children and their families. We have made many wonderful memories with our family in this cabin and hope you can too.
Frank purchased this cabin in 2003
Frank's grandfather ran sheep in the area for years and Frank came here as a child to visit his grandfather's cabin and play on the lake. It was always his dream to return and build his own cabin for his grandchildren to enjoy.
McCall has something for everyone!
Dear Frank and Kitty,
We are so grateful to you for opening up the Conifer Lodge to other families! We absolutely loved it! My family had the best experience there and everyone was overwhelmed by its beauty, coziness and space! My nieces and nephews had the time of their lives...they loved the bunk room and play room! A memory they will keep forever! My parents and siblings were so comfortable staying there as well. The kitchen was amazing to use and had every supply and utensil imaginable.
THANK YOU for a wonderful experience and for all the accommodations you made for us. Our wedding dinner and celebration there was perfect! Thank you so much for giving other families, like ours, the experience of staying in the Conifer Lodge!
See you again on our next vacation!
The pictures don't even do this place justice! This place was incredible. Family reunion was a success largely because this lodge impressed everyone! We hope to come back year after year. Thanks so much!
It is difficult to find a lodge/cabin that fits a family of our size! Conifer Lodge was all that we hoped for and needed! The kitchen was amazing...we had beds for everyone, thank you for providing lovely and clean towels and bedding, having little samples of shampoo, lotion and body wash was so handy for some of the family. The play area was a dream for the kids of all ages. We shared home videos of our skiing, skating and tubing experiences on your large screen TV...seriously, every need was met!!! Everyone said over and over again, "We are living the dream...all together and room to enjoy one another!" There isn't a lot of area for the kids to play outside, but we took advantage of the big pile of snow to try out our Christmas present...the igloo maker! Thank you for the beautiful tree, the lights outside...it all added to the magic. The only real concern we had was that the wifi would keep going off. Some of our sons in law were doing work away from home and needed the wifi. Also in the first bedroom to the right on the second floor, there was a previous stain on the comforter...FYI! Thank you again for making this incredible experience a reality for our whole family!!! We loved every minute!!!! The Kent Pocock family
This is our 2nd year of using the Conifer Lodge for our ladies retreat. We have approximately 30 ladies and it is extremely roomy and comfortable. The cabin is clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked very well. The open great room is perfect for our big gatherings. Everyone has a place to sit. The lodge has tons of charm which include hardwood floors that have been repurposed from and old building. The floors squeak so it is hard to get around in the middle of the night without making some noise. Maybe encourage ladies to bring fans for some background noise. The first year I went I was thinking that this large home would be isolated but it is in a subdivision with homes right next to the property but when you are in the lodge you don't even notice. It is a great place with positive energy. Very happy we have such a fabulous place to getaway to.
Our group of international business colleagues spent three nights in the Conifer Lodge where we cooked every meal and held our meeting. Internet was surprising very good! Each person had their laptops and cell phones on the internet with no issues. The lodge comes with everything that you might need. From appropriate table services, cooking wear and spices are all available. There are plenty of towels, bedding and pillows. The floor boards creek quite a bit, which is nice for nostalgia, but a bit difficult to deal with during meeting presentations.
We would definitely book the Conifer Lodge again. We also enjoyed the domesticated fox that greeted us at the back door looking for food. :)
We loved the house. It was accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc and was really well cleaned.
We loved the proximity to the beach and town. We love the patio and the amount of room. The quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM were not an issue. We moved inside and it was quite sound resistant. We are a big family and tend to get loud just talking and laughing. It was not an issue.
We just had a blast. Thanks so much.
We had a reunion of friends - eight families - and had a great stay! Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone and a kitchen that allowed for easy meal prep and cleanup. The great room was large enough for our entire group to sit and visit well into the night. In fact the room is larger than the it looks in the pictures. The home was clean and well maintained. The owners even provided a basket of cookies for everyone. We also had a great raft trip one day with Cascade Raft and Kayak. I would highly recommend this home for a large gathering of friends or family.
