My wife and I had a most enjoyable stay.  The apartment was  clean , comfortable and and tidy.  We'd definitely stay again upon returning to Baltimore. …LC

Cool apartment in great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here for 4 nights in June 2016. The check-in/check-out could not be more convenient. We had everything we needed, and the neighborhood is amazing. Ale Mary's, One-Eyed Mike's, Lobo, Kisling's and Kooper's were all great spots for drinks and food. We didn't even scratch the surface. Hope to be back next year!

A Hidden Gem in a Historical Hip Town

  • 5 of 5

We went to Baltimore for Preakness Weekend and we just didn't want to stay in a hotel like we did last year, it was too noisy. What a wonderful place CitySide is, right in the heart of Fells Point. Perfect for a couple for a few nights and much better than the pictures. Good set up, very clean, the bedroom has the most comfortable bed and very quite, it sits in the back of the building. Great location, we parked our car on one of the back streets for the weekend, took an Uber to the Preakness and walked everywhere else. Felt just like a local in the neighborhood when Donna welcomed us as soon as we walked into The Canton Liquor House next door. We went back there for a visit a few times. Had lunch at The Black Penny Bar, dinner at Hennnger's Tavern (owned by my grade school friend). We walked to Captain James for dinner one night and walked to Jimmy's for breakfast one morning. There's a great polish store, Krakus, a block away that we bought some homemade Keilbasa and baked goods from. So many nice restaurants and bars and shops in the area we want to try out next time we visit. Would definitely recommend staying here. We were not disappointed at all. Thanks John for all your hospitality.

3rd Annual Mother Daughter Vacation

  • 5 of 5

I don’t generally write reviews but wanted to take a minute to let everyone know what a great VRBO experience we had. This was our first time using VRBO and I will use it again after this trip.

The property was very clean and we felt right at home. The location worked out great for us as we traveled to DC using the MARC train. It was only a $5-$6 Uber ride to either train station (Penn or Camden Yard) . And the cost of the MARC to get to DC was $16 round trip and only $8 round trip for a senior ticket. It took about an hour. It is about $20-$28 to BWI Airport using Uber.

We felt very safe in this neighborhood. The first night we were there I asked a person walking down the street for restaurant recommendations. As per his instructions we walked about 5 blocks away and found the Sip and Bite. Which was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. We were very excited. I had the crab cakes and mom had the Reuben sandwich, both were tasty.

We walked to downtown Fells Point and took the water Taxi to Ft. McHenry (Home of the Star Spangled Banner) and then came back and ate at 8 Ball Meatball. The asparagus and bacon risotto was delicious.

The property had all the essentials and more. They even had two umbrella's in the room that came in handy. We did have an issue with the living room T.V. so I texted John and responded promptly and had the problem fixed right away. The bed was comfortable and linens were clean. The property looks just like the pictures. It was actually bigger than I thought. It was very quaint and we loved all the antiques and decorations.

The last thing I would like to say is the neighborhood bar next door Canton Liquor House (CLH) was awesome. We met a lot of friendly locals and they were very helpful providing advise on what to do in their city. We got to see Edgar Allen Poe's grave and The B and O Railroad Museum as well as the "First" Washington Monument that Baltimorean's are so very proud of. All from the recommendations of the patrons.

Thanks John and CLH for helping mom and I create wonderful memories.

We had a wonderful weekend in Fells Point.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was very beautifully renovated and suitable for 3 people, if you don't mind sharing a bathroom. We had everything we needed and enjoyed having shops, restaurants, and the waterfront within walking distance. Parking is hit or miss, so we used Uber and did not use our car when we went out to dinner in other areas. John was very attentive and easy to work with. If Fells Point is where you want to stay, we would definitely recommend 1820 Fleet Street.
