Somewhere in Time is a movie that came out in the 1970's and was a favorite of Steve and Becky Harris. While this home is geographically far away from the Grand Hotel of Mackinac Island, Michigan, featured in the movie, this house will bring the romance of the wonderful film to the Gulf Coast.
Only minutes from all of the action, this home provide sleeping for 12 in two bedrooms, two master suites, and a bunk room. The spacious kitchen, open floor plan, and wonderful vaulted ceilings combine to draw the family together either on the large beach side deck or in the open beach side living room . And when family time is not what you desire, a stroll through the sand by moonlight will allow you to experience the romance of the films main characters played by Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour.
This wonderful house has a twin (Somewhere in Time 1) which is identical in floor plan and nearly identical in furnishings. These houses are directly next door to each other and can accommodate your entire party of up to 24. Whether it is a friends weekend, a family reunion, or just your escape from reality; we hope you enjoy your stay and we hope that you too become lost… Somewhere in Time.

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older to reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy.
This property is one of 75 vacation properties managed by Harris Properties Management, Inc. Harris Properties started by Steve and Becky Harris in 1983 with the purchase of 'SH 59' (now known as 'Catalina,' VRBO #318060).
Perfect long weekend with friends. November is a great time to be at the beach - no traffic, no waiting times for restaurants. Will definitely plan another trip to Somewhere in Time 1.
Taking a break from classes. I would love to stay again during a warmer time. I was so sick of fast food it was great to have a kitchen to cook a nice meal. We all had a great time.
Loved it!! Great location on the beach. House was comfortable for our 2 families of 8 adults. Mealtime easy with great dining area and adequate kitchen. Casual and no fuss. Bedrooms nice and bathrooms all spacious and clean. "Bunkroom" really a closet with no windows or air circulation. Not enough seating in living area for many adult family members. Deck was wonderful. Will definitely be back. Made for a stress free vacation. Thank you!
This was the second year that we rented the property. My grandchildren truly enjoyed being able to play either on the beach or in the sand up by the house. The porch in the back made for wonderful night viewing. The whole house was clean and ready for us. I would recommend this cottage to anyone that enjoys being by the ocean.
this was our first "all" family vacation and it was absolutely amazing! The kids and grandkids had a wonderful time and the house could not have been more perfect. The location could not have been better, the views were stunning, the house was clean and with plenty of room. We would definitely recommend this house for any family. We had 6 adults and 6 kids and and did not feel overcrowded. Harris properties was always helpful and easy to reach. We hope to stay there again in the near future!
Wonderful cottage by the ocean . Close to town and a beautiful view of the ocean . Very clean and spacious. Enjoy walking the beach and looking for shells . So relaxing ,we just love it there, we will be back. Thank you again .
Our family has spent Thanksgiving at Somewhere In Time for several years and always has a great time. This year was the best of all. Nine family members and the family dog had plenty of room to play games, watch football on TV and enjoy each others' company. The kitchen and dining areas are spacious and everyone was able to cook and eat together comfortably.
The beautiful beach is right out front, so there was lots of touch football, fishing, shelling and sunbathing. The home's spacious and well-furnished porch was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon sunning and watching all the activities taking place on the beach.
We were all sad when it came time to leave, but are already looking forward to next year.
