This apartment sparkles just like the diamonds in your Parisien evening sky.The magnificent Champs de Mars with the Eiffel Tower at one end and the Ecole Militaire at the other is just a block away. Tucked among magnificent gardens, you'll find everything from cafes to carousels. It is the perfect venue for your morning run or stroll. Stop for coffee and a croissant on the corner before returning to Avenue de la Bourdonnais to get ready for your day in Paris. This comfortable apartment is smartly decorated and well-equipped with everything from guide books to umbrellas to an alarm clock. Light pours through the window in each room, and it is exquisitely quiet--in the back of the courtyard. The first floor (French first floor, one flight up) location permits easy access with suitcases and the inevitable shopping bags you will so naturally acquire--no puzzling over how to get your luggage and you into a typically teeny French elevator.
As my daughter said "Mom you definitely know how to pick the best." It all started when Rosa greeted us as we arrived in our taxi. She throughout explained all the details of the apartment, made us feel so welcomed. The apartment was clean, very well stocked, secure and the location is superb. David was great to work with on booking. We always found our way home with such a great landmark. I would highly recommend "Diamonds in the Sky" to those traveling to Paris.
Diamonds in the Sky is just as described--thoughtfully furnished, convenient to transport, surrounded by excellent sources for food cooked or to cook--and quiet. Attentatively managed, but not oppressively so, it was a restful haven from extensive exploring.
My father and I stayed here for two weeks in March. The two bedrooms gave us each our own space and the location was excellent. The apartment is one floor up and is located in the heart of the building with each side looking into a different courtyard. While that means we didn't have a view we also didn't have any street noise. The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived and the building seemed to be well maintained. Being located near Rue Cler and Rue Saint-Dominique meant great food shopping for when we wanted to eat in and an excellent selection of cafes when we wanted to dine out. We highly recommend Cafe Constant on Rue Saint-Domimique, the crew there is excellent. The proximity to Eiffel Tower also gave us a great land mark for getting home.
We had a couple stay with us for one weekend and found the apartment a little tight with four adults. They got the fold out couch in the living room which they reported to be comfortable. My Dad and I both found our beds comfortable and I like plenty of support.
The kitchen is tight but has all the essentials and we were able to turn out many excellent meals. The fresh pork chops, new potatoes and green beans were particularly memorable and the accompanying burgundy excellent. For me, part of the enjoyment of that meal was that everything was bought within about a 15 minute walk of the apartment and we discussed each purchase with the shopkeeper; from the thickness of the chops, sliced to order, to the right bottle of wine to the origin of the vegetables.
David was charming, prompt and very helpful. The time the hot water heater went out at 9:30 at night he was quick to answer the phone, was able to walk me through restarting it without hesitation and didn't seem at all bothered by the call. I would certainly consider staying here again when I return to Paris.
Excellent apartment for a family of max 4 persons.
Cousy, beautiful, nice and comfortable to stay for a week or two.
One block away from Eiffel Tower, avenue de la Bourbonnais has from restaurants to markets and more. Side streets have all the restaurants that will cover your wishes.
Your friend in Paris takes good care that your stay is as good as it can be.
My home in Paris.
A great location. Just steps from the Eiffel Tower. Many food options in the area. Convient to public transportation.
Our family of four spent 8 wonderful days in Paris and found this conveniently located apartment the perfect place for us. The Eiffel Tower is only a block away and made for a great landmark. The unit had just the right amount of space we needed for two teens. The apartment is in a charming building with cafes and shops conveniently close. The bathroom is new, and the apartment will be freshly painted.
We received great service from "our friend in Paris" who opened the unit for us and also gave us great advice, from how to get to the Metro to how to get over jet lag.
The kitchen offered us the chance to pick up food from the close markets and to enjoy coffee and french bread from the bakery every morning.
Overall, a very lovey experience
The apartment at 29 Avenue de la Bourdonnais is so close to the Eiffel Tower that the tower's nightly, magical explosion into millions of pave diamonds will become your lullaby. Avenue de la Bourdonnais is well located for casual and fine dining, shopping and sightseeing. It is just a few blocks from the Pont de l'Alma over the Seine, the impressive new Musee de Quai Branly and the lively Rue St. Dominique. The No. 42 bus stops at the front door ready to take you to l'Opera, Galleries Lafayette and beyond. The No. 69 bus is just a few blocks away. It will take you from the Eiffel Tower past so many landmarks that a ride is a sightseeing tour in itself--Musee D'Orsay, the Louvre, the Hotel de Ville, the Bastille, and Pere LaChaise Cemetery. Jump off at Rue Cler, one of the most famous market streets in all of Paris and be prepared to be mesmerized by its charm. If it is location and comfort that you seek, 29 Avenue de la Bourdonnais will not disappoint.
